Great Stay

This is our 3rd year staying at the chalet. It is always a pleasant experience. Fully stocked kitchen, good lighting, etc.

We’ve been here twice and it’s the most relaxing, exciting & fun filled vacay we’ve ever had!

Fabulous Sunsets and Awesome Accomodations

We stayed for five days over the 4th! House was Super clean and lovely, well stocked, fluffy towels and comfy bedding. Hot tub was wonderful. The highlights are the views and the sunsets! Nancy was a great hostess and checked in to be sure we were having a great time! We can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful chalet with everything you could need

I stayed at Nancy's chalet for three nights with a group of my friends. The house is beautiful and has everything you could need for a relaxing vacation. We could tell she put a lot of work into the house itself as well as to get it ready for guests. We really enjoyed it and would definitely book it again!

Another great weekend

This is our 2nd time staying here. The house is GREAT! Very clean, stocked with everything you might need. I would highly recommend this for any type of getaway, but especially to scrapbook. I can’t wait to come back again!

Beautiful view

We held our annual scrapbooking retreat here and loved it - beautiful views to inspire us. The house is comfortable and has plenty of space for all of us and our supplies. We are hoping to go back next year! Thank you for sharing your lovely home!

Another great weekend in the books. This house is perfect for our group. We can’t wait to come back (again!) Didn’t get any incredible sunsets this time due to rain but watching the fog come in and out was just as beautiful!

My family of 6 LOVED this property. It was beautifully located, furnished, decorated and stocked! The owners thought of everything and made our 3-night getaway a very fond, family memory. From booking to leaving, everything was seamless. I highly recommend this home and we will be back! Thank, Nancy & family!

Highly recommend this home packed full of amenities.

As return guests, this home is as wonderful as it was the first time we came. The home is clean, comfortable and packed full of amenities. The fully stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, cozy furniture, hot tub and fireplaces, not to mention the deck and incredible view make this our favorite place this group of friends have stayed at in our twelve years of twice annual getaways. We are counting the days till our next visit!

AMAZING CHALET

This is the 3rd year my friends and I have rented a 4 day weekend in March for scrapbooking. Nancy’s house is awesome and the views of the mountains are beautiful from the huge windows. The house is clean and the kitchen has everything you need for cooking your meals. The hot tub is very will maintained and clean and we enjoyed that at night looking at the beautiful mountain scenery. This is a great place to relax and enjoy your friends and family.

Beautiful views, clean and roomy

My 5 friends and I just came back from a 3 night scrapbook (Thur-Sun) weekend. We had an awesome time. The kitchen was stocked well, the scrap room had everything we needed, and we can not say enough about the view from the house. The hot tub was a nice bonus along with us having Cara over for massages. Heaven....... we are going to book the same weekend next year.

Perfect for a relaxing get-away!

Our group of ladies had a wonderful weekend of crafting, friendship and relaxation! There was a small hiccup with the air conditioning, but overall a fantastic weekend! We all needed to relax and we definitely had no stress! The house is fully stocked with spices, coffee machines, ice cream maker, kitchen supplies, etc. We even took a dip in the hot tub. We will definitely be going back!

We had tried to get an opening here for a while. I see why it’s so popular. It’s has everything. A fully stocked kitchen to the margarita maker. Let’s not forget the view and hot tub. We also took advantage of a massage therapist coming out to the cabin and this was icing on the cake. Highly recommend! Can’t wait to go back.

Love this place

My friends and I love this place. We have rented this place twice now and will rent again next year for our scrapbook getaway. The back ramp to get our scrapbook supplies into the house makes it so easy to get everything into the house. The house is very clean, spacious, and has everything you need to have a great stay. Nancy is wonderful and response quickly to your questions. The view from all the windows are beautiful! And the hot tube is a great addition. We always enjoy our trip. Thank you again Nancy.

A Perfect Family Friendly Shenandoah Retreat

We had a wonderful time at the Chalet. We were two families, each with two young kids, and it was perfect for us. There was plenty of space, the layout was well designed and the rooms were tastefully decorated while being fully functional. TVs everywhere helped keep the kiddos entertained when they weren’t working on art projects in the fabulous scrapbooking room. The location was secluded and peaceful, while being near enough to everything we needed, as well as Shenandoah National Park and the Luray Caverns. And the hot tub on a cold winter night with a glass of wine after the kiddos went to bed, was the perfect way to end the day. Suffice it to say we had a great time. Thank you very much to Nancy, who was very attentive and a true pleasure to work with.

Wonderful girls weekend

We just left this beautiful home yesterday. What great views from a comfortable home. Cozy family room seating was made even better with the Christmas decorations and the glow of the fire after a gorgeous sunset! And the crafting space was awesome! Looking out over the valley was so peaceful. We enjoyed scrapbooking together with an option to curl up with a book (or kindle) on the couch. We enjoyed happy hour (loving the margarita machine!) and meals in the kitchen/dining room. The sleeping accommodations worked well for 10 and the beds were very comfortable. A wonderful weekend. Well worth the 3+ hour trip! Will definitely look at returning in the future.

Owner thought of everything!

My friends and I have been staying in the same rental 2-3 times a year for the last eight years. We didn't know what we've been missing! We felt very spoiled. The owner has thought of everything...from selfie sticks to binoculars and aromatherapy to Himalayan salt lamps. We especially loved the perks in the craft room. We have always had to bring our own extension cords and not only were we provided with table top electrical outlets and phone chargers but table top lights and personal fans. The beds were comfy, the linens soft and the kitchen was well equipped. We have already booked our second trip. Thank you!

Amazing Place - couldn't of been happier!

The Chalet was beautiful and the views amazing! We saw some colorful birds (Indigo Buntings and Cardinals - as well as a large hawk). In the mornings deer would cross the clearing. We sat on the deck with our coffee and watched them. Plenty of towels, kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed for cooking (pots pans, small appliances, etc).It was so peaceful, my stress level dropped as soon as I arrived. I was there with some friends for a girls crafting weekend. We did scrapbooking, quilting, sewing, and cardmaking. Absolutely LOVED the craft room. Beautiful view while you worked and the stations were well set up with trash cans, lots of space, and plenty of extra lighting. Small kitchen is in this area for convenience as well as 2 coffee pots. I loved that there was a scrapbook "swap basket" where you could take scrapbook paper if you liked it and leave one of your own as well as purchase some for 25 cents each (I bought a few myself). We will definitely be back - Thank you so much!!!

Exceptional Scrapbook House

We had a lovely time. Owner thought of just about everything with the home. Only a few recommendations...switch the two bedrooms upstairs (3 twins and 1 queen rooms) so that there is more walking space for the 3 twins. Room it is in now is very tight but the queen would fit nicer in this room. Wasps were very bad around handrails of the ramp so making sure those are removed at all times would be great - we had two wasp sting victims! Microwave cover for the food being heated up to avoid splatter. Make sure all lights are working and bulbs work as there were several throughout the home out. Snakes were seen on the property so be careful. They were near the ramp where there is lumber stored and damp cool area. Pave driveway as we had a lot of cars unable to make it up without a good head start up! Other than that we enjoyed ourselves tremendously! Thank you!

Just as described...including sunsets

Had an amazing few days of serenity. Chalet was in pristine condition and had everything we could have r ever needed. Owner was very responsive. We wish we could have stayed longer. We look forward to returning soon.

Sunsets - period.

What a lovely little property. The views from the deck, or inside, during sunset are pretty ridiculous. Great place to chill out and listen to the wind blow and watch the sun sink while the stars rise...

Tree House Scrap

Nice location, beautiful views, sleeps 8 comfortably, crafting space better for 8, house is well stocked, and ramp to downstairs is a little steep but expected for the location. We had a great time and would rent again.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

If you are into crafts, you know how HARD it is to find a nice vacation retreat that has A) nice accommodations, B) a convenient location, C) luxury and D) a nice crafting area with views! Then, add to the challenge that the best places are booked a year in advance! I wanted to offer the best of all worlds. I hope you agree that Sunset Ridge IS the scrapbooking retreat you have always dreamed of! Furnishings and beds are very comfortable - you can't have a great time if your back hurts (and we have all had that experience on vacation, right?)! And the walking ramp eliminates the need to get your supplies up and down stairs.
