Beautiful barn conversion with private courtyard and pool.

Le Grand Juvet was originally built as the stud farm to the local Chateau and is a magnificent collection of stone buildings complete with tower. We live on site in the tower so are here to greet you and help with anything you need to make your holiday a great one, yet you have a the privacy of your own courtyard and pool. We have set out to provide spacious accommodation with peaceful, private outside space where we hope you will relax and enjoy the lovely scenery. If you can drag yourself away from the property we are in a great situation for exploring some stunning countryside. We have swimming lakes with beaches, numerous great walking and cycling trails, chateaux visits, local markets and some excellent restaurants locally.

The barn has 2 bedrooms , both with en suite shower /wc and a bathroom with freestanding bath tub. Full fitted kitchen with plenty of storage space. Double electric oven, electric hob. Fridge freezer and dishwasher, double belfast sink. Washing machine, iron and ironing board. Garage/utility/boot room with door directly into accommodation. There is also a games room on site with table tennis table, boules, croquet set, tennis raquets and bikes available for guests use, this is shared with the other property we rent out.

Notes on accommodation:
Having sampled a number of gites ourselves over the years we have set out to provide something that we struggled to find - spacious accommodation with large rooms, nicely decorated, well furnished, more than enough equipment and a private, pretty outside area to drink a glass of wine and admire the view. We hope that is what we have achieved.
Our property has been recently renovated / restored. In the barn we have retained the stone walls, exposed beams and many quirky features which allude to its previous use.

We have animals on site - horses, goats, a peacock and chickens. They are housed well away from your accommodation but for those guests who wish to be involved with the animals they are more than welcome to join me in my daily duties of feeding, watering, collecting eggs, grooming horses etc.

Outside:
The barn has its own private courtyard with outdoor table and chairs, parasol, plunge pool and BBQ, accessed directly from your accommodation. We open the pool for mid May, sometimes earlier if the weather is warm. It is available from mid May until end of September. The pool is not heated.

In total we have 15 acres of land, as well as your own private area we have other spots to take in the view. The entire property is securely fenced and gated so children are safely contained and have plenty space to expend some energy! We have mountain bikes for guests use. We have one other property on site that we rent out. Both are set up to have their own private enterance and private outdoor space but we do have communal areas for those who like to socialise.
