Your private getaway minutes from the beach! The entire home to yourself!

**As of May, 2022 we have outfitted our home with brand new Central Air Conditioning! We are so excited for this extra comfort for all of our Winstan Guests!**

This wonderful home has served my family and I since the 1980s--and now we want to share it with you! The rustic exterior, stucco walls, and square dimensions of this Spanish-influenced home hides a fully-renovated and inviting interior. The bright colors of Florida blend perfectly with the home's beautiful wooden floors and ceilings. Plenty of space as well as a cozy back patio for soaking up the sun during the day or unwinding in the evening!

You'll never have to worry about being to far from anything--your vacation home is only five minutes to the beach, and even closer to restaurants and shopping. Bring your kayaks, paddleboards, or boat--public canal and water access is at the end of your street! You'll have backdoor access to great fishing and relaxing times in Lemon Bay. Scour the beach for shark's teeth, book a sunset cruise, go parasailing, rent a jetski, or maybe even charter a deep water fishing expedition.

Best Vrbo stay so far

What a wonderful property! The house is updated and you literally can just walk in and enjoy. The house was so clean and so well equipped with kitchen items, laundry detergent, shampoo & conditioner. You can sit on the deck and watch the birds and boats on the canal. Beaches and shopping just around the corner. Nicole was wonderful to work with! We will be staying again.

Excellent house near Englewood beach!

Property was just as described/pictured and more. There was even a bonus room. Had everything we needed from k cups and a four slice toaster to plenty of bedding and linens. They had aloe, toiletries, even some beach stuff. Jost was wonderful, responded quickly and even check in with us after our first day to see if we needed anything. Excellent, would stay again in a heartbeat. Check in was a breeze, as was check out. Only asked us to strip the beds and leave in a pile for them to wash.

Great location

The house is in a great location and close to a lot of things but there is a very musty odor. Can’t get the smell out of our luggage or some of our clothes. There are fragrance plugs around the house to try to mask the smell. Other things happened but won’t write about it.

Spring getaway

Pros The place is very clean. The kitchen is well stocked and the beds were very comfortable. Conn's My fault, I did not realize that there is no central air and I did not read the last review. It said it had air conditioning but there is no central air, it consists of five window units. There was a very strong musty smell and alot of black pieces of mold coming out of the air conditioner in the living room. The owner got back to me quickly and the woman that showed up said that she would clean it and take care of everything. She did clean it and it smelt a little better but after a day it was back to blowing out black chunks of mold. Everything in my suitcase had to be washed when we got home because all of our belongings smelt like an old musty house. I have an allergy to mold. We were also told that the air conditioning unit shouldn't be turned down below 74. This also made our bedroom fairly warm, thank goodness the bed was really comfortable. Our average temperature was 82 with relatively low humidity, so I can't imagine being there in the middle of the summer. Someone has replaced the decking and used the wrong screws so they are sticking up out of the deck. All in all the place is cute and quirky. It's just a shame that we had issues with the air conditioning.

Lovely place

We wanted a staycation close to kayak launches and this little gem was perfect for us. They even had a shark tooth sifter we used to collect teeth on Casperson Beach in Venice. Do keep in mind this rental does not have central air. They have individual units in each area. Our stay was at Thanksgiving so it was cooler, not an issue for us.

Enjoyed our stay. House was very cute. Very Quiet area on canal. Nice little back deck to chill.

Publix is so close we walked to the store most times. Englewood beach and restaurants are a 5 min drive. Good air conditioning. Comfy beds and couches.

We really enjoyed our stay.

Only suggestion would be a few more Serving dishes and a frig with water and ice Dispenser that was connected to water line. And improved outdoor seating on deck. Overall everything was enjoyable.

Great home and location!

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home. It is in a perfect, central location, near to shops but away from any noise of the town. I would definitely stay there again.

Great house, great neighborhood!

We enjoyed our stay in Nicole's house. The house is clean and well maintained. The few issues that did arise were taken care of immediately. We are walkers, and most everything we needed could be obtained without getting into a car. And while Nicole's patio was certainly comfortable for a wine or beer at the end of the day, if you want the vibe of a casual outdoor pub on the water to watch the boats and the sunset, it's hard to beat Skip's, just down the street. We'll be back!

Perfect Spring Getaway

A group of friends traveled down to stay in Florida for 5 days this past March and had an amazing time. We absolutely loved our stay at Nicole's place in Englewood. Everyone enjoyed themselves. The property was extremely clean, well equipped (from the kitchen & bathrooms to beach and grill needs), spacious, comfortable, and convenient to everything from great beaches to wonderful restaurants and shops. The outdoor space and deck was beautiful and relaxing and we enjoyed being able to cook on the outdoor grill. Everything one could possibly need is provided. I would highly recommend staying here when traveling to this part of Florida.

The home we rented was clean and bright And in a great location. Close to beaches, restaurants and shopping . The weather every day was in the 80’s so it was beautiful for March!

Charming cottage

My husband and I stayed at this quaint little cottage while looking for a long term winter home for next year. Centrally located, quiet area while walking distance to a great Bealls, Winn Dixie, Publix and other needed conveniences. This partial renovated older home was so cute, tastefully decorated and spotless. Great attention to details in wood work and crown molding. Furnishings very comfortable. However, there was a very strong musty, stale basement odor which was tried to be controlled by a room air freshener. It seemed to be coming from area between ceiling and roof as there was a hole in kitchen/living room area of wood ship lap ceiling open to ceiling rafters where odor was strongest. We did try to open windows which seemed to help but it was a little cold during night. So sorry to give this property only 3 stars but if you suffer from asthma/environmental allergies or olfactory sensitivities it is a big deal to some. No way to turn on outside lighting from renovated area and even though smoke detector not required would be nice in older renovation.

Cute house, great location

Minutes to the beach.....minutes to everything. We enjoyed the beach, boating and trips to Venice and Boca Grande. The neighborhood quiet and friendly. The house, clean, comfy and neat.

A lovely spot

What a great little house. A truly quick drive to the beach and a wonderful place to call home at the end of the day. Lot of nice updates and clean, clean, clean!! The house has a charming beachy feel with lots of places to sit and ponder -- front porch, back deck, living room, dining table, kitchen bar. Just one bedroom (at this point), but 3 additional beds for those who may spend a night or two with you. The addition of the washer/dryer adds to the simplicity of living there. Owner is wonderful and responsive to needs. We will be back! Can't wait!!

Very Nice Home

We stayed here February 25 to March 1st. Our party consisted of one couple and one other adult (me). The house was extremely clean and had everything we needed. It was just the right size for 3 to 4 people. Only disadvantage is the location of the second bedroom, it contains two twin beds located right off the living room, with an open doorway, so there is no privacy, however this room would be perfect for children. Also, there is only one bath to be shared. The owners provided plenty of bath and kitchen towels, which was also good because there is no washer or dryer. The value and the cleanliness of this home was much better than any non-beach hotel in the area. The owners were very nice and quick to answer my phone calls and any questions. I would definitely stay here again.

Adorable little house

Lights on, flowers waiting when I arrived made a wonderful welcome. Every time I needed something from Nicole, she responded immediately. I am only the third renter and the home is beautiful - a real treasure. Very close to lots of stores and everything else. Thanks!!

Beautifully Renovated Home Short Drive from Everything

This cute house has been totally rehabbed with high end finishes and furnishings. Very clean with fully stocked kitchen. In a quiet residential neighborhood near grocery store and shopping center, plus quite convenient to downtown Englewood and beaches. Two outdoor patios shady in early morning and late afternoon. Owner very responsive to questions and concerns. Many great restaurants nearby, including Beach Road Wine Bar and Bistro, Farlows on the Water, and Gulf View Grill. We also enjoyed a very good lunch at Lock and Key across from Englewood Beach. The Beach Guy at Englewood Beach rents chairs, chaises, and umbrellas at very reasonable prices. Enjoy your stay. We hope to be back soon.
