Villa located on the banks of the Loire river, in an old village of sailors, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
5 km upstream from Orleans, beautiful historic city center.
Terrace facing the Loire (South facing), Comfortable living room with sofa, armchairs (TV + DVD and Internet), Large dining table, Fully equipped kitchen.
Upstairs, Master suite 1 double bed (160x200cm), en-suite bathroom (bath and toilet),
1 Bedroom 2 beds for 1 person. Possibility to place the beds side by side in 1 double bed.
1 Bedroom bunk beds 90, shower room + sink + wc.
Garage, Lingerie, Garden furniture.
Enclosed and flowered garden.
CHARM, COMFORT and CALM.
Access to the living rooms is via the staircase that leads to the 1st floor. For this reason, the villa cannot be suitable for people with reduced mobility.

Lovely house with a gorgeous view

We had a fabulous stay here. The house is clean and tidy, and is equipped with everything you need. The location is just incredible - the view out the front to the Loire is stunning and the house in in easy reach of Orléans. We hired bikes and didn't actually use our car the whole time we were there - wonderful!

Superb location on Loire.

We very much enjoyed our stay. The house is well stocked, especially the kitchen. Excellent parking and a very safe, gated property. Vincent was a wonderful host. Always available to answer questions and provide information. Veronique LALY was very efficient with the check-in and check-out process. We would definitely return!

Wonderful location

We stayed here with our dog and had wonderful walks and cycle rides along the path beside the Loire. We ocassionally used our car to travel further but generally reached everything on foot or by bike. The local restaurant was wonderful and we ate there three times in two weeks. And the host was extremely helpful with providing details of local amenities and services. Apart from the weather we had a wondeful time.

Location location location!

A fantastic holiday let - a wonderful location on the banks of the Loire and a beautiful house and grounds. Cycling possibilities right outside the house, and lots of daytrip options nearby. We couldn’t fault it - the only tiny thing was a get-in for our kayaks, this wasn’t possible outside the house so meant we had to carry our two kayaks 400 metres or so to the (beautiful) riverside beach. Nonetheless, a super place and somewhere we can well imagine returning to!

Scenic location on the banks of the Loire

The house is a great spot for exploring the Orleans and the Loire. We spent two weeks there as a family of four. We made excoursons to various castles and historic spots in the region including Chamord, Chenonceau, Amboise, Sully, Ceverney. The kids especially enjoyed the tree climbing at Leo Parc and swimming at the l'Île Charlemagne. We even spent a day in Paris using the express train from Orleans, which takes only 1h. It payed off to bring our bycicles as there are endless biketrails along the riverbanks. The best part of the house is the terrace overlooking the Loire. A great place to relax and soak in the view of the river and its birdlife.

Your review is just the perfect summury about the Villa and what the vacationers can do (Biking, Sport, Castels visit, day trip to Paris,...and overlooking the splendid nature of the Loire river from the terrace. Delightful house in a beautiful location

The house was perfect for our stay and well appointed with everything we needee. The kitchen despite being on the smaller side had literally everything we needed to create not just a meal but a feast! The main room downstairs is sizable and comfortable and the outside balcony ideal for mealtimes. There is however a surprise, when opening the shutters of the main bedroom you have the most beautiful view of the Loire! The views from the back look onto the canal and are good as well! We had a fantastic stay, with everything we needed, Vincent was so helpful with his communications and Veronique likewise when we arrived. In summary we had a fabulous time in what seemed to be a well loved family home. Thank you Vincent!

Wonderful Stay.

Communication with the owner was fast, friendly and uncomplicated. Our first impressions were that the house is even better than the pictures. It is set in an idyllic garden, with the main focus on the river, which is less than a stone’s throw away. We had the pleasure to stay here for two weeks, the house was clean (very clean) and well equipped. There is plenty to do in the neighbourhood and we thoroughly enjoyed our outings to Chateaux and towns in the area. There is a nearby restaurant that, although a little expensive, serves fantastic food. There is also a beer garden (Guingette), which has cheese / meat platters and other snacks, as well as good wine and tasty beer. One of the best experiences we have had with holiday rentals. Thank you Vincent, for everything.

A magical stay

Thank you for a wonderful week in this beautiful property and area. The house was as described and very clean, well-equipped and so quiet, the only traffic allowed along the property road is for residents, so it was just peace and tranquility. The view from the house is stunning, the river beach can be accessed via a walk down a path in 5 minutes and although you can't swim in the river, we enjoyed paddling and splashing about to cool down. The local restaurant looks like something from a French impressionist painting, it's such a lovely setting next to the canal and river, with lights festooning the trees and tables and chairs lining the cobbles. You can walk along the canal paths and cross the flowery bridges along the route. We enjoyed exploring Orleans, it's a fabulous city, we loved the son et lumiere show on the Cathedral and discovering all about Joan of Arc. We had a great lunch there, hired bikes for 2 days so that we could cycle around Combleux and out into the countryside along the canal, but also to cycle to and from Orleans itself, which only took about half an hour along a beautiful riverside path. We also hired canoes and enjoyed the river that way too. We had one day out in Paris, which was only an hour by train. We had the best of both worlds, access to some city buzz, although a lovely chilled-out buzz in Orleans, everyone was so calm and relaxed! But also this beautifully quiet house and water-side tranquility too. Highly recommended. x

prachtige locatie te Combleux aan de oever van de Loire

Het huis was een aangename verrassing. Zeer ruim, nette kamers, vernieuwde badkamer. We werden ontvangen door een zeer vriendelijke dame die ons de sleutels overhandigde en die enthousiast aangaf welke bezienswaardigheden we zeker moesten bezoeken. Eten in Le Marine en ook in Le Toucket (slechts enkele prachtige fietskm verwijderd van ons verblijf) is een belevenis en helemaal niet zo duur als je zou verwachten. Kortom, we hebben genoten en kunnen de locatie (ideale uitvalsbasis voor onze uitstappen) alleen maar aanraden.

Détente

Maison très bien située et fonctionnelle. Tout est mis à disposition( barbecue, jeux pour enfants, etc) pour pouvoir profiter au mieux du lieu. Très bel environnement propice à la détente.

Depuis 10 ans que cette villa accueille des vacanciers, l'entretien de la maison est absolument permanent. C'est bien la première fois que des vacanciers font une remarque sur la propreté!

Karaktervolle locatie

We hadden een goed verblijf. De locatie is rustig en mooi langs de rivier. We maakten met de kinderen wandelingen en bezochten Orleans, wat vlot bereikbaar was. Het restaurant "la Marine" achter de hoek is gezellig en lekker! Het huis is ouder, maar karaktervol. Je vindt er alles wat je nodig hebt. De badkamers zijn langs de kleine kant, maar ok. We hadden een ontspannen week.

Fijn verblijf in een geweldige omgeving

We hebben twee heerlijke weken gehad in Chanterive, prachtig gelegen aan de Loire, aan een autovrij weggetje langs de rivier. Vriendelijke ontvangst, goed contact met de eigenaar. Praktische tips: bevestigen douchestang bij het bad met douchegordijn, keukeninrichting overzichtelijker maken. Chanterive is een heerlijk familiehuis met een fijn terras en een grote tuin. Een plek waar je graag terugkomt. Laatste tips: neem fiets en wandelschoenen mee. Er valt zoveel te ontdekken om (actief) van te genieten.

A shower curtain has just been installed over the bathtub. Yes, there are plenty of cooking facilities. The villa has been a family home for almost 70 years. My parents, we and our children stay in the house and we cook a lot of food and pastries.... So there is a lot of equipment to cook. See you soon. Vincent

Im Ganzen ein schönes Ferienhaus, sehr netter, guter Kontakt zum Vermieter, sehr ruhig und erholsam

Wichtig zu wissen: Das Zimmer mit dem Etagenbett ist ein sehr kleines Durchgangszimmer. Die Zufahrt zum Grundstück führt von einer engen Straße durch ein schmales Tor. Wir waren mit einem VW Sharan da und es ging, mit einem VW Bus z.B. hätte man schon etwas Mühe gehabt. Wunderschöner Blick von der Terrasse auf die Loire. Durch die zugangsbeschränkte Straße (nur für Anwohner) ist es auch sehr ruhig. Wir waren im Herbst da und konnten die Schlösser der Umgebung ohne Touristenströme besichtigen. Praktisch ist die Zugverbindung nach Paris- direkt in einer Stunde ab Gare d‘Orléans zu erreichen- so dass man dorthin auch gut eine Tagestour einplanen kann.

Traumhaft schöne Lage

Sehr schöne Lage, direkt an der Loire, Zauberhaftes Häuschen mit allem was man braucht. Die Umgebung(Combleux), wie in einer Filmkulisse, und wir mittendrin. Es war soo schön. Meine Frau hat die Feigen vom Baum sehr genossen, Hr Gien. Bis bald G+J Rechner aus Ludwigshafen

Our second time staying in this fabulous house!

We were delighted to stay in this wonderful house for a second time. The location is simply stunning - we never tire of the beautiful view! A special place with a very nice view

It was easy to book and organise with the owner. We really enjoyed staying in Combleux and found the lake, the cycling and the chateaux (and more) made for an excellent family holiday.
