Highcroft Lodge is situated on the Lower South Coast Kwa Zulu Natal South Africa. It is 90 kilometres from Durban giving easy access for visitors travelling from abroad.
The lodge and chalets encourage visitors to sit on their veranda and put their feet up as the get the feeling of wild Africa as the buck graze around the chalets and a myriad of birds feed safely.
The chalets are 2 bed units either sharing or having their own shower basin toilet.
There is a communal braai area and salads or light meals can be prepared in the communal kitchen and dining room.
The retreat boasts a Chartres Labyrinth which is a walking meditation tool. The meditation room or chapel is a 100 year old building that has held in place by a magnificent tree. and it truly connects you to your higher power.
The Lodge is 1km from a blue flag protected swimming beach and as the visitor wanders down the coast you can enjoy either safe swimmimg, snorkelling, fishing, surfing or just observing the marine life in the rock pools along this coast.
From here it is a short trip of 40-80 kilometres to either the buzzing nightlife of Margate or the Wild Coast Casino in the Transkei. 40kms inland is the pristine Oribi Gorge Nature Reserve with rugged walks into the gorge. Birdlife abounds.
