Villa Cocoa Maya: Beautiful large villa steps from the beach

Looking for a villa with the perfect formula for an awesome holiday? Villa Cocoa Maya is right on the beach, fully serviced, staffed and catered (breakfast is included in your rate). We are not a self-catering villa but provide a reasonably priced a la carte menu - no need to lift a finger. The villa is set in a large, flat tropical garden. It's a 5-minute walk into central Candidasa, and is within easy access of all eastern Bali's sights (we have a car and driver for your use at an extra charge).

We have recently refurbished Villa Cocoa Maya. We have updated our furniture and soft furnishings and have added an outside games room in the garden with a pool table, large SMART TV, a fully stocked bar fridge and comfortable seating - the perfect entertainment area for everyone.

The 80-metre Garden Suite bedroom on the ground floor is ideal for a family of four as there is a double bunk and an extra king-size bed.

Alternatively, it works equally well for four children/teenagers as the super-king bed can be separated into two 3/4 size beds. We have put a large SMART TV into the Garden Suite and a comfortable L-shaped sofa.

The 120-metre Joglo Suite on the top floor with a wraparound balcony remains the pièce de résistance at Villa Cocoa Maya. It has outdoor seating and a large daybed inside the Joglo to take in the gorgeous ocean and island views.

The two middle floor bedrooms (both 60 metres in size), the Ikat and Gamelan rooms, have also been refurbished with new soft furnishings.

All the bedrooms have high quality linen, soft duvets, air conditioners and ceiling fans. There are tea and coffee stations in each bedroom and beautiful ocean views throughout.

Outdoors we've got many areas to enjoy the garden and the views - the comfortable and relaxed bale benong (gazebo) near the beach, outdoor dining for 14 people, a large and comfortable sofa to laze on under the trees and plenty of sun loungers. And did we mention our 18-metre infinity swimming pool? Excellent for laps if you're feeling energetic or enjoying the view on the martini step!

Simply incredible!

This house, the grounds and the staff were so amazing! Seriously, the most beautiful of all three! Komang arranged all of our excursions, so we didn’t have to worry about anything! Breakfast was amazing, and we definitely took advantage of the menu for lunches and dinners. They are fantastic cooks and we loved every dish we ordered! We just left and are already working on planning a trip to bring the rest of the family! Highly recommend for romantic or family trips! Literally was in tears when we were leaving and I cannot wait to return! ❤️

Absolutely the best holiday experience!

Villa Cocoa Maya is amazing, stunning, extraordinary. The facility of the villa is just perfect. The building, rooms, beds, pool and everyhing is well managed and prepared. You'll also find some art works tha villa has and it makes the property even look better. The view from the villa is just wonderful(There should be a better exprrssion than this). You can enjoy both sunrise and sunset, at everywhere at the villa, it is what you want to see everyday for sure. The staffs are the real gem for this villa. All the staffs are extremely kind and they made our wonderful days at the villa. And the food they cooked for us was just so good. Thank you so much for us to enjoy the best vacation! I really wish to come again with our family!

Absolutely the BEST! Stunning property & fabulous staff!!

Have you ever stayed at a place where literally there is not one single thing you would change? This is it! From the first communication to the last, the Villa Cocoa Maya team was truly AMAZING! Tash, Komang, Ketut, Murni, Gede & Nyoman welcomed us in superior Balinese fashion. The villa is beyond spectacular! Starting each day at what we affectionately call the outdoor "Jaffle Hut" (jaffle being one of the great breakfast options) was magical. The food? Tremendous! When booking I was initially hesitant as the villa offers a set menu but oh my goodness the range and deliciousness of the options satisfied a diverse group of preferences. Truly outstanding! Highlights included relaxing at the villa, an impromptu cooking lesson in hopes I can recreate a couple of my favorite dishes - thank you Ketut & Komang! But the best of all? After much arm twisting we finally convinced Komang & Ketut to sit down and join us for dinner late one evening. It was such a pleasure and honor, and frankly so much fun, to share the time with them!! I would LOVE to come back to Villa Cocoa Maya and would recommend it to anyone that loves luxury accomodations, service and food beyond your expectations and a gorgeous view with a perfectly subtle ocean breeze. AMAZING!!! Thank you Villa Cocoa Maya for an amazing experience and for the surprise anniversary celebration! We appreciate you all!

Amazing Villa in Candidasa

The villa is absolutely amazing! The pictures online were amazing… but seeing it in person is breathtaking. Even better than the villa itself…is the staff. Komang and team were incredible. The villa was always clean, the grounds and pool were always kept…and the food they prepared was amazing. Best of all…they were great to talk to and…after a week together…they felt like family. Special thanks to our drivers Katut and Yoman who we spent a lot of time with sightseeing around the island. They were phenomenal! We enjoyed getting to know them both. Everyone we met with associated with the Villa was truly amazing. They made the vacation even more special. Someday…when Bali calls again…we will not hesitate to return to Villa Cocoa Maya!

Great property

The house is absolutely stunning, and the views can’t be beat. Also, I can’t say enough about the staff they went above and beyond in every way. Would highly recommend this property if you were looking to be a little out of the way. This was our first trip to Bali, and the only slight disappointment was that we seem to be well outside the main tourist areas. But if you were looking for a quieter experience in beautiful surroundings, this is a great property.

Beautiful and Comfortable Villa

What an amazing property inside and out! The home had large rooms and was beautifully furnished with modern baths equipped with nice linens, toiletries, blow dryers and converters. The outdoor area was an oasis with spectacular views, beautiful gardens with multiple seating areas to sun, relax and enjoy meals. The staff, led by Komang, were friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The food was delicious with lots of choices and cooked to ordered for each guest. Each evening, Komang helped to arrange massages, tours, drivers and supplies for our next day adventures. We were celebrating a special occasion and Komang arranged for beautiful cake decorated with birthday girl’s name, candles and staff came out singing birthday wishes. I Nyoman Karinu was our main driver for week and was a wonderful tour guide helping us to navigate each day’s trip. Thank you to the owner who was very quick to respond before we arrived with all questions and request. We truly can’t say enough about the location, staff and home except to say we would highly recommend this property for a family vacation.

We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. We were pretty much at the house the whole time because of the situation with covid-19. The staff was amazing and we were well taken care of. We will be back again to see Bali properly soon hopefully! Thank you

A fantastic villa!

We are 4 couples who have just returned from a 6 night stay here at Villa Cocoa Maya. Book it, you will not be disappointed! A short drive down a narrow track past the cockrells takes you to this gem right on the beach. The pictures are as it is. Komang the villa manager and her team work hard to make your stay just perfect. They will cook delicious food from the menu, book taxis, arrange trips at your request. The rooms are huge and beautifully decorated. A fabulous stay in Candidasa, Bali.

Family stay at Cocoa Maya

We are a family with 5 children, 3 to 11 years old, 4 parents and 2 grandparents who spend two weeks in Cocoa Maya. We all had a wonderful time in the big house with plenty of space inside and outside. The house is beautiful decorated, the staff are all very friendly and effective, Komang was able to arrange almost every event we wanted. The pool and the garden were kept clean all the time and we also enjoyed the swimming and snorkelling in the sea just outside. We hope to come back.

Wonderful Villa Cocoa Maya

Very well appointed villa with the beautiful sea-view from all the bedrooms. Snorkeling right off the villa. It is very nice to see the coral are coming back around the area. The food at the villa was delicious but a little more expensive compared to outside restaurant. We really enjoyed outdoor dinning area. Thank you Komang for arranging all our needs in very short notice. Overall, we were very happy with our experience at Villa Coca Maya. When we come back the next time, looking forward to staying the one in Ubud and Semiyak.

Fantastic

The villa and location was stunning. I have stayed in many villas and by far Komong and her team were the best.......nothing was too much trouble and they helped us to create special memories. In villa food was great and the Babi gulang feast was amazing thanks to the fabulous Ketut. We will be back.

Wonderful property

This property is in a stunning location and ocean view is stunning. The staff were more than accommodating and treated us like family. The house was spotless and the staff worked hard to keep everyone happy. We rented a boat and saw most of the coast line at Blue Lagoon and swam at white sand beach. Make sure you bring a nice tip for the 7 boatman who hall in your boat onto shore as they work hard and have very little. They great you with the biggest smile and are appreciate.

Superb beachfront location

Villa Cocoa Maya provided a luxurious and peaceful haven for our family holiday. Just what we needed after a blast of a wedding in busy Ubud. The location of the house is absolutely superb, right on the beach with magnificent views from all the spacious rooms which are presented beautifully and made even more characterful with interesting artwork and furniture. We particularly enjoyed watching the local fishermen bring back the boats and the daily catch each morning, right in front of the property. On two days Komang, the house manager, helped us select some fresh fish which the staff cooked for our evening meal. All in all, a very memorable stay!

Stupendous!

My husband and adult daughter and I stayed here for five days. It is a fabulous villa. The pictures are accurate, but the interior decor is more beautiful than pictured. The marble floors alone are breathtaking. No expense has been spared. The Jogolo suite is the most fabulous master bedroom I have ever been in! The staff is helpful, and the meals quite good. The infinity pool was perfect for doing laps or just relaxing. It was easy to arrange a driver, and also a private boat to take us snorkeling at Blue Lagoon ($40 USD for the day). Don't miss snorkeling at Amed ($45 USD for a driver for the day). Overall, a magnificent villa and experience. We would come back here again. We would definitely recommend this villa. NJC

Superb comfort in spectacular spot

We loved our stay in this beautiful fishing village, so much calmer than the more frenetic southern Bali area, and the villa was fantastic. Had lots of fun on the kayaks and there’s perfect snorkelling with a big variety of fish literally in front of the house. Don’t miss out on snorkelling (or diving) at the islands just a short way out to sea, it was spectacular. Komang organised a fishing boat to take us. We also appreciated the menu system at the villa (which meant no cooking for us!) and the food was delicious – thank you Komang and team for spoiling us, and looking after us so well. Cocoa Maya was a perfect end to a perfect island holiday and we definitely hope to be back!

We knew we had a winner when we saw the site for Villa Cocoa Maya. We undoubtedly have the best position in Candidasa - any closer to the sea and you'd fall in! The villa is one of the few in Candidasa that has a beach - and with white sand - and is just a five-minute walk to the restaurants and shops. We're also really fortunate to have a large double stand which is extremely unusual along the Candidasa coast - most hotels are built on the same size plot as the villa! All this with amazing snorkeling right in front of the villa - we couldn't resist!

The villa has 5 staff members who will discreetly provide housekeeping, cook from our well-priced menu, prepare your breakfast daily (included in the rate) and assist you with ideas for sightseeing. They will also organise our driver and the boatman for you and anything else you need assistance with. A holiday at Villa Cocoa Maya is exactly that - no need to cook or clean, you can just relax.
