Luxury house with private garden, very large, All possible comfort, careful decoration, very quiet, ideal for family holidays or groups of friends, with 3 bedrooms, one of them is suite with balcony with sea view, in the living room a sofa bed for two, outside has a good sized private pool and well equipped barbecue, located 15 minutes walk from Funchal city center and very close to the tourist area of lido, a place with many hotels, restaurants, nightclubs , beach, promenade, lively bars and terraces, shopping centers, casino, etc. with free wifi.

Disappointing

Sadly, this property is in need of some love and attention, and a proper deep clean. It also smelt damp and musty. As mentioned on a previous review, the beds are very hard and would benefit from mattress toppers. On the plus side, the communication from the manager was excellent, it has great outside space, good rooms sizes and was one of the quieter homes we have rented in Funchal.

Lovely Villa

Very nice villa with lovely outdoor space. Close to some nice restaurants and supermarket. On a very steep hill though but thankfully the villa was close to the bottom. Communication with host was very good. Bed a bit hard, perhaps a mattress topper would help? Would stay here again.

Spacious, clean, great location

Everything you needed was in the Villa, even simple touches like washing-up liquid/sponge and tea towels etc, along with a welcome basket of fruit, water and juice. Great location - you are in between the Lido area of shops & restaurants and main town of Funchal 👍 My only advice when booking flights to Madeira...don’t use EasyJet! Our return flight was cancelled (which we only found out by chance - wasn’t informed by them) - next flight available wasn’t for 4 days! Looking online since, it seems that this is quite a regular occurrence with flights to Madeira. Thankfully we managed to get a flight next day with another airline - thank you Adelino for accommodating us in our hour of need... 😁 Would certainly book this Villa again with friends/family

Lovely villa

Lovely property which was much bigger than we expected. Clean and modern with large private outdoor space and swimming pool. Great kitchen amenities, everything you need for a great holiday. It is a very short 5 minute downhill walk to the hotel zone and all the bars and restaurants. Beware though the property is on a VERY steep hill (even for Funchal) although it is near the bottom. Overall an excellent property and we would gladly return. We booked the property last minute and the communication with the property manager was first class.

Great place to stay

The house was great for a party of 6. The property is pretty local to the tourist area of Funchal, an easy 6 to 8 minute walk down but a sweaty 10 to 12 minute walk back. The house isn't air conditioned and we did miss this, especially in the nights but I can't say that this ruined our holiday, far from it! We didn't hire a car as there was no need, but if you like getting out and about, then there's aparking space available.

Das Haus ist modern ausgestattet und alles vorhanden. Leider sind einige Dinge nicht in Ordnung. Die Küche ist modern,aber nicht sauber. Im Obergeschoss ist im Bad Schimmel,dadurch riecht es im angrenzenden Schlafzimmer auch danach. Direkt am angrenzenden Nachbar wir gebaut, dadurch den ganzen Tag Lärm und so kann man am Pool nicht gerade relaxen. Um den Pool herum wurde wahrscheinlich auch schon lange nicht mehr sauber gemacht, kommt man aus dem Pool hat man hinterher schmutzige Füße. Das Haus sollte insgesamt renoviert werden,da einige Mängel vorhanden sind. Schade wir hatten uns so gefreut,aber durch erheblichen Lärm und unsauberer Umgebung,haben wir uns nicht entspannt.

Excellent

Absolutely fantastic Villa just like described, so spacious, clean, modern, and the outside space with pool was first class.The owner Adelino was so friendly, helpful and very accommodating. Any questions we had we emailed and got a response straight away. Highly recommend this villa its in an ideal location, with plenty taxis to take you to restaurants, shops etc. It's so good we have booked for next year :)

Great place to stay in Madeira!!

Great place to stay near great restaurants and bars on rua da casa branca. White House, hole in one and moynihans pubs all nearby. House is on a steep hill but near the bottom so no problems there. House is as described ,, lovely interior and and great outdoor with pool and bbq. Table tennis in the garage as well for those that like something to do. House is 5 mins from lido where you have lido complex, bars, buses restaurants etc. Also have aerobus at €5 which can take you to and from the airport in 40 mins. Adelino is efficient in responding to emails and really takes pride in his house. Don't hesitate to stay here

Wow!

We read through all for reviews for this house and thought it sounded/looked to good to be true - it wasn't! Its is a large, spacious, light and airy house with plenty of space in the garden. It is gated and felt very secure. The property was well maintained and spotless on our arrival, at which time we were greeted by the lovely owner who had provided fruit and water. Because there were no guests on the day of our arrival he also allowed us to leave when it suited us. We would happily recommend this property to friends and relatives and would certainly come back when we next have a family holiday. The weather was great so we all made full use of the pool. The only things that could have made it better would be another easy chair in the lounge and a four slice toaster :) We know Funchal very well because we love Maderia and one of my favourite things to do when there is to have a meal at the Fort in the Old Town. It is a fixed menu of 43 euros which includes all the drinks - the service and the food has always been excellent. Happy holidays.

Very nice villa with lots of space . Pool area clean and private . All amenities provided , appliances nice and modern . Owner discreet and non-intrusive . Good location for both old town and Lido . Would happily recommend this property to anyone else .

Très belle villa

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour .Nous étions 6 adultes un bébé et un enfant de 4 ans. La maison très spacieuse, et meublée très design. Les chambres sont très grandes, ce qui nous a permis d'ajouter dans la suite parentale, un lit parapluie ( mis à disposition gracieusement par le propriétaire) ainsi qu'un lit d'appoint . La maison est très bien située dans un quartier avec toutes les commodités.... Seul petit bémol, le chant du coq à partir de 5 heures du matin (mais on s'y habitue) Je recommande cette villa, elle est vraiment super!!!!!

Heerlijk comfortabel huis

We hebben 11 heerlijke dagen in dit huis doorgebracht. Het huis biedt veel ruimte: grote woonkamer, slaapkamers, badkamers en keuken. De omschrijving en de foto's zijn een goede weergave van de werkelijkheid. De tuin bood ons voldoende privacy en het huis was schoon. We hebben iedere dag rondjes gezwommen in het grote zwembad, dat groter is dan dat je doorgaans bij een vakantiehuis aantreft. De locatie was voor ons ideaal: op loopafstand van de zee, van het mooie centrum van Funchal en van de hotelwijk langs de Estrada Monumental. Ook de supermarkten zijn aan te lopen. De dichtstbijzijnde (een kleine Pingo Doce) zit tegenover het Melia Madeira Mare Hotel aan de Estrada Monumental. Voor de grotere supermarkten moesten we iets verder lopen. We hebben tijdens ons verblijf geen auto nodig gehad. In plaats daarvan hebben we veel gewandeld in en om Funchal zelf, hebben we de kabelbaan naar boven genomen om daar vandaan naar beneden te wandelen en met bus het eiland verkend. We komen er vast nog een keertje terug want het is ons erg goed bevallen.

Everything we could have wished for.

We've just got back from a week at the Villa and we loved it. There were 4 of us (adults) staying there and it totally exceeded our expectations. Spacious, clean, modern and with a large pool - we all wanted to move in and not come home !!! The villa has everything you need if you want to eat in and Adelino the owner even supplied the BBQ charcoal for us, so no lugging it back from the shops. It is about a 20 minute walk from the centre of Funchal but if you didn't feel up to it there are plenty of buses you can hop on. We did walk into Funchal a couple of times but we spent most of our time at the Lido area where there are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants and it is a lot closer than Funchal centre. There are lovely views from the villa overlooking the sea and everyone in Madeira is really friendly and helpful. We will return one day.

It was a very nice house aquipped with all things you need on your holiday. Nice area outside with a big pool. The surroundings has many restaurants and it was easy to walk to the city center. The owner was very helpful and releable.

Holiday in the Casa Nova com Piscina

The house was as luxury as the pictures show.The rooms were elegant and clean. Everything work well but there was no solarium.Barbecue coals would be good to have already because coals were very difficult to find. Location was exelant too and it was easy to walk everywhere. The backyard was sunny allmost the hole day. It could be necessary to have more laundry drainer to the bigger group. All in all we were very happy and pleased to this house!

Very modern villa with everything you need

We stayed for a week in the house (family of 5) and it matched our needs very well. Location was good, a 10-15 minutes walk from central Funchal, and much closer to the hotel zone services. Kitchen (and the whole house) is ultra-modern with inductive stove, ice machine etc. etc. We cooked many meals in the villa and used the outdoor barbecue as well; everything worked great. Our youngest daughter enjoyed the pool even though it was February and the water yet not so warm. House was very clean and surroundings are quiet. Pool area ideally placed for a drink during sunset. If you rent a car there is even a garage! Owner was friendly and everything worked as agreed. Surroundings: The house is quite near the starting/end point of Levada dos Piornais. Many restaurants within 5 minutes walking distance, but choose carefully; we had great and not-so-great experiences. The house is located by a very steep (not unusual in Funchal, though) one-way road which can be very slippery after rain. And maneuvering your rental car among parked cars to the house is an interesting challenge. Nearest large supermarket with good selections and decent prices is some distance away, so be prepared to walk a bit for groceries, or take a taxi. All-in-all highly recommended.

Vacation in the wonderful and comfortable house.

We spent vacation in this house. It appeared better, than we expected: spacious, light, it is equipped with well household appliances. We used the pool, the child with pleasure bathed in it. The house is located in a quiet place not far from the center.

Excelente lugar¡¡

Un maravilloso lugar que ha hecho nuestras vacaciones inolvidables. La casa es preciosa, exactamente igual a las fotografías del anuncio. Espacios amplios, la casa está perfectamente equipada y muy limpia. La piscina es genial y todo el entorno está muy cuidado. El propietario fue muy servicial y muy atento desde el mismo momento en que contactamos por mail, realmente hizo que las gestiones de nuestra estancia fueran muy fáciles. La localización es muy céntrica, a pocos minutos del centro y de la zona hotelera del Lido. Realmente disfrutamos de nuestra estancia en esta casa y la recomiendo sin ninguna duda a todo aquél que quiera visitar Madeira. Una isla preciosa con gente encantadora.

Il n'y a pas de surprise. Cette maison neuve de type contemporain à été aménagée avec goût et est très bien équipée. Située dans un quartier calme proche du stade et proche à pied des commerces de proximité et restaurants. Nous recommandons cette location pour 6 personnes, 2 ou 3 couples ou couples avec enfants. Le propriétaire est très à l'écoute de ses hôtes et en profitons pour le remercier.
