Cast Away Cottage is an excellent option for families or groups looking to spend some time relaxing and soaking up some sun on the family friendly beaches. This location is also ideal for fishermen in search of their next big catch! Bring your boat and kayaks and enjoy some of the best fishing and kayak trails on the coast . Just minutes away from historic Indianola, Cast Away Cottage offers access to an abundance of fishing spots, kayak trails, and bird watching. Plenty of parking for a boat with boat ramp blocks away. Just 15 minutes from Port Lavaca and 25 minutes from Port O'Connor. This newly remolded house comes stocked with all the necessities, including washer and dryer, so just bring your bags and fishing gear and start enjoying all this cozy retreat has to offer!

The house is spacious and very clean. Yard is amazing.The Host is very nice and responds to questions quickly.The location of house is close to bay and boat launch.We had a great time and caught some nice fishing including 3 bull reds each over 37". We have stayed here before and plan to again next year if available

Cute Little Cottage

The cottage was perfect and close to the convenience store if anything was forgotten. The home is a little older, blinds were broken, and the couch had plywood that did make it super firm but there were plenty of beds to accommodate 3 out or 4 adults, 2 infants, and a 9 year old boy. The backyard was lovely though it did have broken chairs. Its a cute cottage in a cute beach town. Would DEFINITELY stay again.

The house was very comfortable! Air conditioning worked GREAT! Beds were nice, tv’s were great. Negatives were the following: as we drove up we could see the broken blinds in the windows-VERY off-putting! Some of the furniture was damaged, a wad of hair in the bathtub on the drain, broken blinds on almost every window, a completely rusted shower curtain rod (could not even slide the curtain to one side) and bathtub faucets that were loose. 100 could have fixed most of those things. Also, it was listed as 15 minutes from Sea Drift, but it was more like 25-30 minutes.

Best Trip Ever!

There was only 1 complaint, and it is very small, the refrigerator was dirty, we had to clean it and dispose of old food when we got there. This is on the cleaning crew and not the owners. The house was so much better than the picture can show. A few of the blinds need to be replaced, but again so small and didn't take away from the awesome and beautiful home they shared with us. I hope to be back every year. Thank you to the owners, it was such a slice of paradise. The Flowers Family.

Perfect house and location

I stayed here for 1 week. The house is adorable and very comfortable. I loved that it had a large kitchen with full sized refrigerator. Everything was spotless and smelled so clean. The house keeper hadn't quite left when i arrived a little early, yet she made me feel so welcomed and she let me bring my things in. My dog and I were both thrilled with the large, grassy back yard that was fully fenced in. The location was an easy 10 minute walk from the beach. The neighborhood was friendly and I felt safe at all times. There was a small convenience store a couple houses away, perfect for snacks and drinks. The marina was a short drive and has a nice little restaurant and dog friendly patio. This was the perfect getaway for peace and quiet and anyone just wanting to relax. I would definitely stay in this exact house again when i come to Magnolia Beach next time.

The house

We weren't able to stay in that home, there was problems with the AC. The owner was able to get us the house next door in less than an hour. The home is nice,fully equipped with everything you need for a very comfortable stay.

Fantastic stay

House is clean and has everything you need. Easy drive or walk to the beach. Have stayed here many times in the past. Owners are great to work with and communication is excellent. My kids love it here. Thanks for a great stay and we can’t wait to come back

Family get away

The place is real close to the beach. Very reasonable pricing. If you have a big family take extra toilet paper and paper towels and lots mosquitoes spray. It's a great weekend get away look foward to going again.

Clean & Comfy Cottage

Cottage was very clean, comfy, and roomy. Plenty of sleeping accommodations and a nice big table to gather for meals....Great floor plan. Very nice to have a fenced yard too! Quiet neighborhood and easy to access location. We enjoyed our stay and give 5 stars to every category. Thank you !

Lovely home

We absolutely loved our stay! Amy has done a beautiful job offering such a wonderful place to get away and relax in. We so loved the beach/ocean theme. And the little sitting area was great. And for those who love a good size kitchen with a large island/breakfast bar...this one was a joy to cook in. We look forward to returning soon!!! Thank you Amy for such a lovely stay!!

Spacious Cottage. Great Location

The owners are friendly and accommodating to your needs. They allow pets which is exactly what we were looking for in a rental.

Not senior friendly

House is spacious and the beds are good. That being said 2 out of three lamps had no switch knobs to turn them off and on were just unplugged. The tub is on a 6 inch raised platform making it very difficult to get in or out of the tub. Also the first 3 days the water in the shower was so low you could hardly shower but the owner did get a plumber out to repair it. Also the cushion on the futon is almost non existent so it is very uncomfortable.

Great space for a family.

3 teenagers and myself had plenty of room to spread out. Comfortable beds. Kitchen prep and eating tight but doable. Short drive to beach, nice quiet neighborhood.

I've been coming down here for near 20 years. Introduced this place to my wife about 3 years ago and she was hooked. We came down so much we decided to buy a place because we spent so much renting places to stay. We love kayak fishing and spending time with the family.We hope whatever adventure you come for, you enjoy our home as much as we do. Thanks and Enjoy!
