30A is a fantastic destination, the beaches are some of the worldā€™s best with sugar white sand and emerald green waters. You will find plenty of beach accesses along a 17 mile stretch of Santa Rosa Beach. It boasts unique shopping, fantastic cuisine and the incredible architecture that makes 30A famous, There are activities for everyone; kayak rentals, bike rentals, paragliding, fishing, golfing, hiking, swimming, tennis -- you'll find it all right here.

The Gulf Place community is located along a 26-mile stretch of sugar-white sand and turquoise waters of Northwest Floridaā€™s celebrated Emerald Coast. As one of the 16 distinct beach neighborhoods in South Walton, it has its own distinct character and charm. This colorful community on 30A is comprised of 25 acres located in the heart of Santa Rosa Beach on the corner of 30A and 393. Gulf Place was specifically designed to slow visitors and locals down with palm tree-lined streets, wide sidewalks, colorful outdoor patios with large umbrellas, nature walking trails, green spaces and ample park benches to sit and enjoy the views. Gulf Place is unique from all the other South Walton neighborhoods. Residents and guests gather here to enjoy original art, boutique shopping, local cuisine, live music and a laid back atmosphere.

The snorkelers in your group will love the new artificial reef called Seahorse Reef, deployed in 2017. Located just 715 feet out from the Topsail Hill Preserve State Park access, it is becoming a haven for sea life. Each of the 4 snorkeling reefs comprises 40 acres of permitted sea bottom. The Seahorse Reef is at a depth of 13-18 feet. We strongly recommend that snorkelers use a kayak, paddleboard, or other flotation device when visiting the snorkel reefs. Sea conditions can and do change quickly and often. Enjoy!

We loved this cozy house right on 30A! It's convenient to Destin to the west and Seaside to the east

It's a short walk to the beach through the neighborhood across the street. And since there are no big highrise condos or public beach accesses nearby the beach is not crowded at all. Coffee shop and pizza place at Gulf Place are awesome!

Family getaway

The house had amazing access to the beach, restaurants and shopping. Everything was walking distance. There were no issues with crossing the streets and finding a stop on the beach was easy.

Awesome beach house!

We were so happy with our beach house. It was easy walking distance to Gulf Place and all it has to offer and the beach! Kids loved their own twin beds in the middle bedroom. Also make sure and visit Reef Beach rentals for a golf cart. Bethany was awesome.

Great Location

Girls trips to the beach are always fun!! And this cute little bungalow provided the perfect space for our getaway. We were right in the heart of Santa Rosa, and within a short walking distance to a beautiful beach! There was beach concierge service on the beachc for chairs and an umbrella. Great parking. And we each had our own bedroom!! Thank you for the welcome gift upon arrival, a very sweet touch!!

The condo was very nice and clean. I was very frustrated because the dryer was broken during our trip, but I was so impressed by how the management company handled it, Iā€™m willing to try another stay. They went above and beyond.

Was a great time with great friends. Beach was amazing.

The air struggled at night time to cool down the bedrooms. That made it uncomfortable to sleep. The fan in the master bedroom felt like it was coming off the ceiling when on full blast. The rest of the house was great.

Great house! Close to beach and amenities

This house is within walking distance of restaurants, coffee, shops, etc. It's also a short walk to the beach! It's right by the road but we had no issues with noise or traffic. It was nice being right there, quick access to most things. Seemed like a really safe area. We never felt unsafe, even walking back late at night. The house is nice. Perfect for a small group. Had all the basic amenities. Comfortable and cozy. Cute decor. Check in and check out super easy and smooth. Good communication with owners. We had a great stay and would love to go back someday! Thank you!

Only 1 roll of toilet paper for 2 bathrooms, no ice in the freezer and no icecube trays. Saw several cockroaches in the kitchen.

Nice stay at Surfer Girl

Enjoyed our stay at Surfer Girl with our family of four. Overall the property is good, just needs a little TLC and a few updates but we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay for the week. If you like to cook meals, then I would recommend bringing your own skillet and utensils as the ones in the home are past their prime. Plenty of dishes available though along with a dishwasher. No ice maker in the freezer so make to grab some at the nearby Publix. Great deck to enjoy the evenings and wave to the people as they walk by on their way to or from the beach. Location is close to the beach with access via the Ed Walline public beach access (5 min walk), beach service rental and restrooms. Note the VRBO listing has an alternate beach access location mentioned which is private and the rental company has been made aware. Restaurants nearby were within walking distance and had great food. Easy checkin via the portal and rental company was very helpful with questions.

Great Location, Needs Updating

This property is in a great location just yards from the beach and stores, restaurants. We enjoyed our time there for Spring Break. The beds were comfortable and we had plenty of bath towels. The property was was generally clean, but needs significant updating (i.e., no garbage disposal, none of the kitchen or bathroom drawers or cabinets had knobs or handles). There was no hair dryer. A shower/tub faucet was broken and chairs were missing from the front porch when we arrived; however, the property company addressed these issues within 1-2 days. The rental came with 4 bikes; however, the lock codes were not given to us so we had to call the bike company to get that before we could use them. Plenty of parking. Overall, it was a good place to stay if you don't plan on being in the house too much. Contacting the property manager several times about things that should be there and working was a hassle. The location was excellent! If they update the house, I would stay there again.

Family Vacation

Location is greatā€¦ short walk to the beach, restaurants, and bars. We went once to the coffee shop but the wait was over an hour. The house is a little out dated. When the wind blew it shook the house and there was alot of activity at night. The AC did not blow in the middle room, so no one slept there. We followed the rules not to set the AC temp below 70, so some nights it felt hot and humid, maybe because of the 100 degree days. Our last night there, we heard loud banging coming from the outside roof area, hoping it was a wild animal outside. The bed would shake alot too, we thought maybe from the wind blowing the house. I think the house needs more lights below it, because it was really dark at night when walking up the steps not knowing what could come from the opened wooded area. The neighborhood really quiet at night but busy in the daytime. If the person is a hard sleeper and donā€™t need the AC below 70 to sleep its not a bad location to stay.

Great Location

Sufer Girl is a very clean cottage with a fun beach vibe. It is within easy walking distance to a beach access, shopping, and several places to eat. It has a nice front porch for people watching and the driveway easily fits at least 4 cars. I would rent again!

Super girl mini getaway

The location for this property is great. Perfect honestly for this area. The house is definitely dated and needs some TLC & a better cleaning lady. But it got the job done. Spacious enough for my 4 kids, myself & husband. 5 min walk to the beach & the beach is beautiful. We are from Tampa area so not new to FL & beautiful waters. This is a top rated beach for sure. The price for the house is great & appropriate. Itā€™s just all the fees associated on top of it. Probably will not use VRBO in the future & look how else to better rent for mini getaways.

Wonderful stay with family

This house was perfect for me, my teen daughter and two grandchildren to stay in. The house was pleasant, comfortable and clean with great beach themed decor. It had everything we needed! We could load up the wagon and walk right to the beach anytime we wanted. We also enjoyed walking to the shopping area for souvenirs, ice cream, etc. The wrap around deck is quite nice. We enjoyed the view outback and the big front deck area. This house is along busy 30A but people driving along this road were willing to stop and let us cross everytime we walked to the beach. Anytime I called RealJoy with questions they answered right away and were very pleasant and helpful. The text for the code to enter the house didn't come when it was supposed to but I called and they had that corrected in minutes. We ended up deciding to stay an extra day here and were able to get that set up easily. We would definitely stay here again!

Great Family Home

Loved the area, the close beach walk and beautiful surroundings. Rented bicycles for the week. Great job on providing rental information and things close by on the website. Very accurate!! The kitchen was well stocked. Some items dated, but still great place to stay and experience with my children. The only advice I would give would be to hang a few hooks in bathroom, better linens and towels and more seating on deck so that the family can sit outside. Thank you for a wonderful week!!!
