Villa Cone Beach offers comfort, silence and safety in the wild nature of northern Kuhmo. It is a perfect setting with luxurious touch for families and small groups to relax or get active. Full privacy when required.

Cone Beach has a 500 m long private beach which fronts on to a scenic lake. Spacious rooms have views to the beach, forest and garden-arboretum. All bedrooms have luxury beds. Living and TV-rooms have classical fireplaces. Fully equipped kitchen serves a separate dining area. The wine cooler holds premium wines and champagnes. Three bathrooms. The delightful veranda room opens to the lake. The stairs up to the vantage point tower room lead from the second floor lounge. Beach sauna has a shower and fridge. The fast WiFi Internet connection is free.

Multiple guided Cone Beach activities, such as walking or skiing in nature, ice fishing, snowmobiling, excursions, picnics and sauna are flexibly available in season without reservation.

The host is available to introduce Finnish and local affairs to you, be it people’s life, nature, history, traditions and stories, education, business, or else. Finland ranked as the happiest country in the world in 2018. It is worth exploring and Villa Cone Beach is an excellent clue!

Our task is to fulfill. In case the Northern Lights forecast predicts the sky show elsewhere, we may have a chance to hurry there.

Villa Cone Beach is operated by Arctica Estates, a small family company. We put emphasis on environmental responsibility and strive to minimize any negative impact. The estate forests absorb hundreds of tons CO2 annually.

Neighborhood:

Villa Cone Beach is surrounded by endless forests and hundreds of lakes and streams. Much of it is protected. Wildlife is everywhere. In our unique safari we look for endangered forest reindeer, wild big brothers of Santa’s Rudolph. Sometimes they come and visit Villa Cone Beach.

Half an hour drive takes us to Kuhmo town and a bit more to other centers. In our tours we often have a lunch or dinner at their best restaurants, if we didn’t choose home food. Distance to the Russian border is 64 km. Visa allowing, we'll take you across the border to the mystical Karelia, the birth place of Kalevala, the Finnish epic.

The region has no mass tourism. In fact you can enjoy solitude when that's your preference. We are the fortunate combination of Lapland and Lakeland.

Villa Cone Beach never suffers smog. The winds usually blow our clean air from the Arctic Ocean. Hundreds of natural springs flow purest drinking water for hikers. Water to our taps and showers comes from a spring, too.

You can walk and bike practically anywhere. Pick wild and absolutely clean super food berries and mushrooms in summertime. Waters have delicious fish and forests yield game. Add other local ingredients and the recipe for tasty and healthy home food is written.
