Just minutes from shopping, dining, entertainment and outdoor adventures, this rural retreat in the Avery’s Creek Community is a sanctuary of peacefulness. Along with the horses in the pasture you are bound to see wild turkeys and deer and hear bull frogs on summer nights.
Your Private Hot Tub is on a covered porch with a spectacular view of the mountains from the spacious lounge seats. This spa hot tub features 31 jets and 2 full body seats.

Your fully equipped private bungalow overlooks our private fishing pond and horse pasture. You can take a short hike on the wooded property, fish for trout, bass and brim or plan your day sipping coffee on the porch and end it sitting around a warm campfire sharing stories from your day’s adventure.

This convenient location is ideal for the outdoor enthusiast. Your romantic get-away is located just 10 minutes from the Mountains to Sea Trail, water sports on the French Broad River, hiking and biking at Bent Creek and the NC Arboretum. You are 10 minutes from dining, shopping and entertainment at Biltmore Park and Sierra Nevada Brewery, 15 minutes from the airport, North Mills River National Forest Recreation Area, and the Asheville Outlet Mall and 20 minutes from West Asheville, The Biltmore Estate and Biltmore Village, the River Arts District and Downtown Asheville.

Special amenities that can be arranged through the owners for an additional fee include: 1) Horse boarding for up to 2 horses during your stay. We will be happy to take you on a guided tour of some of our favorite riding trails in North and South Mills River, DuPont State Forest or Davidson River Recreation Area. 2) Guided hiking or trout fishing.

Truly one of the nicest places we have stayed! Perfect for a couple wanting a lovely relaxing holiday. We rode mountain bikes daily at nearby Bent Creek. Enjoyed wonderful microbrews in Asheville and relaxed daily in the hot tub. Our hosts were so thoughtful and made the stay so nice. The cabin is clean, private and well situated. The view from the porch is worth the stay! A place we hope to visit again.

The home was perfect for a weekend getaway! Loved the property being near the lake and some cute horses. We had a beautiful hike nearby too. The hot tub was relaxing and downtown Asheville was a close drive from the property. Donna was a wonderful, welcoming host!

Beautiful country setting, owner wrote sweet note and welcome sign and had little touches like, teas, local beers, and fresh flowers. Would have been better if we had arrived during the day, hard to see and steep dropoff hard for large extended handicap van to turn around, but was fine in the morning. Only caught one bluegill, maybe next time earlier in the year.

Donna was very nice and attentive to any needs or requests we had. The area/cabin was absolutely Beautiful and very quiet. It was a perfect spot for my wife and my anniversary vacation. Highly recommend and I'm already looking forward to staying there again in the future.

Great experience, AGAIN! Our second visit to this property and it will not be the last. Yeah, the size and activity of fish we caught wasn’t as exciting as our first visit June of ‘24 but still good. Had a duck hop up in the bank behind the cabin. 4 deer were seen playing in the shallow end of the lake. Even had a Black Bear visit this time. Seemed to like the smell from grilling steaks the night before. Donna and Curtis are very hospitable, responsive and relatable. Definitely recommend!

We cannot say enough great things about this property or the owners or the experience we had. We felt at home. It was beyond relaxing. They take pride in their property and making their guests feel comfortable. We had everything we needed and we will definitely be back! We highly suggest if you need a place to unwind, reset and recharge, this is the place.

We visited for our anniversary and had an amazing time. We absolutely loved staying at this cabin. The owners were so kind and welcoming. We really enjoyed the hot tub and fishing. We also went tubing on the river less than 15 minutes away. I also thought the little fireplace area was absolutely beautiful.

A Piece of Heaven

Cozy cabin with a spectacular view overlooking a private lake and rural countryside. My husband and I fished in the lake, hiked on their property and relaxed in the hot tub. Donna and Curtis were amazing hosts! They offered great suggestions for fun things to do in the area. We couldn't have asked for a more awesome, romantic getaway! We will definitely be back!

Amazing Getaway!

Wonderful place with a lot of privacy, beautiful scenery, all the amenities you could need, and a tremendously relaxing vibe. Will definitely look to stay here again in the near future! Highly recommend for couples looking to have a romantic getaway!

Weekend Getaway

Beautiful property in the mountains. This cozy cabin is perfect for 2 people who want to relax. The hot tub was definitely a plus. We enjoyed fishing and caught several while here. We will definitely consider returning to this quiet spot.

Peaceful and easy to get to

Loved the cabin. Secluded yet easy to get to and close to many local attractions. Quick response to questions before and during stay. Fishing is great on the pond! I will definitely recommend staying here for single travelers or couples looking to get away from the chaos of everyday life. Sitting on the screened porch at night listening to the frogs was super relaxing. Hot tub was GREAT!

Great Cottage

Donna's cabin was perfect for us. The deck looking out over the pond was great for sitting outside in the mornings with a cup a coffee. It was close to my family and convenient to Asheville and the surrounding area. We totally enjoyed our stay there.
