Refugio de Luena is a cozy cabin located at the foot of the mountains of the Sierra del Escudo Natural Park, a short distance from the Puerto del Escudo and the Ebro reservoir.
Old barn for cattle, was completely renovated respecting the original style of the house, but offering all the comforts to enjoy a pleasant and relaxing stay, surrounded by nature and the respectful activity of farmers who graze their livestock.
Near the house there are many options for walking, biking or organizing excursions. You can also relax at any of the three nearby spas: Alceda, Corconte and Puente Viesgo.
The national park of the Dunes of Liencres and its beach are about 45 minutes away, the Ebro Reservoir 15 minutes away. It is allowed to swim in authorized areas and is a great place to practice water sports. It also has many paths around that allow a pleasant walk with the views and colors offered at sunset.
There are caves with paintings dating from the Paleolithic, and nearby areas to practice adventure sports with monitors, having activities suitable for children.
The house is equipped with ceramic hob, coffee maker, fridge with freezer, microwave, and washing machine. Includes sheets and towels. Optional availability of a pair of bikes to enjoy the environment (ask). We admit animals without extra cost.
It is an opportunity to enjoy the little things: Relax in the open space, read a book in the garden, try the excellent meats of the area cooked on the barbecue or in the stone oven, have breakfast outside, watching the sun Look out over the side mountains, listen to the silence and spend time with your people.
