Fantastic cottage in a superb location.Everything was spotless. Lovely welcoming gifts of scones, eggs,strawberries and Sloe gin.Hilary was a brilliant host.

Lovely week

Stayed at the Doocot for a week , lovely accommodation everything first class. Great location for getting about , 2 local pubs nearby both good food.

Absolutely the most charming place we have stayed in for a long time. Loved our three nights there. Hilary was a great communicator. Even checked on us in last nights storm.

Absolutely stunning property in a beautiful setting. Accomodation was very clean and comfortable. The host had made scones and homemade jam for us arriving also delicious strawberries, milk and some fresh eggs from her own hens. Lots of very thoughtful touches such as umbrella, torch, hot water bottles, boot rack, logs for woodburner and lots more. Host has made the accomodation as welcoming and comfortable as possible. This one is definately on our return list, loved it!

This little house is perfect in every way. Communication prior to and during our stay with Bilary was excellent. The Doocot was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. It is in a secluded, peaceful and relaxing spot. Everything was on hand to ensure that we had the most enjoyable stay. We would thoroughly recommend the Doocot if you are looking for a little bit of luxurious peace and quiet. We will be back.

What a wonderful place

The Doocot is a very comfortable and relaxing house where you can unwind and enjoy the beautiful views. It is very well equipped and the attention to detail is second to none. The owner has thought of everything you need from a short weekend away to a longer trip. I wouldn’t change a thing about this place. Don’t hesitate to book!

Utterly perfect, so thoughtful with all the wee added touches, fresh eggs, scone and jam, the personal welcome, and accommodation of our high maintenance doggo! We had simply the best weekend, obviously the weather was an added win, but eating outside, windows open, the local walks described in the welcome folder. Not many photos were taken, as we switched off, tuned out, and recharged. Did not want to leave this morning!

Secure garden, but we still anchored a long line till Madame chilled out a bit

Happy Days!

Enjoyed a refreshing few days at the Doocot. Hilary made my husband and I feel very welcome and of course our puppy who was welcomed by Dorrie Director of Canine Relations a great touch. The weather was not the best but it didn’t detract from the experience! We will return (if allowed !)

Weekend In Beautiful Dunning

The property was more than we expected. The little touches are what made it like providing hot water bottles, milk and some eggs from their chickens. Very very clean. Beautifully decorated. Easy to find. Stunning views over the local farms and near by golf course. Perfect to relax in.

The Doocot is a delightful place to stay and we cannot rate it highly enough

Hilary and Bruce made us so welcome and the Doocot is beautifully presented. Love the little touches like homemade jam and scones plus milk in the fridge. Superb

Weekend away

My husband and I had a fantastic time staying in the Doocot. The weather was stormy so we got to enjoy all the benefits of this cosy cottage. The place is well throughout with towels and toiletries. The kitchen has everything you need to have a nice meal in. We enjoyed cooking and eating at home. We were able to enjoy the selection of DVD’s and books. All in all a very relaxing weekend not too far from Perth.

Lovely retreaT

This is a lovely gem of a cottage. It is very warm, comfortable and super well equipped and very clean. Bruce was very welcoming. Dunning is a lovely wee village and the cottage is within walking distance.

Stay at the Doocot

Had a wonderful short stay at The Doocot mid-October. We were welcomed to the property by Hilary and Dory (lovely friendly little spaniel). The accommodation was as perfect and peaceful as we hoped and we relaxed as soon as the car was unpacked. Everything was well laid out with thoughtful touches throughout (including information packs, fresh eggs from the hens, scones with homemade strawberry jam, and a some Damson gin). The Doocot is within easy walking distance of Dunning for the local shop and two pubs/restaurants. I'd definitely recommend staying here and we're looking forward to visiting again. Thank you!

Five Star Retreat

This is a lovely place to stay. We received a warm welcome from the owner on arrival and enjoyed the lovely homemade treats (including freshly laid eggs from their gorgeous hens) that had been left for us. The cottage is absolutely perfect for a couple needing some downtime. Inside is beautifully laid out, a well stocked kitchen area, comfy chairs in the lounge & the conservatory, a deceptively large bath and a lovely comfortable bed. It was also extremely cosy. The temperature had dropped again while we were there, but we were not at all cold. Outside has some lovely views & the visiting wildlife, included woodpeckers, a very bold pheasant and a red squirrel. And it is so peaceful! It is perfect for either city visits (Perth, Edinburgh, Dundee & Stirling all within easy reach) or investigating the countryside (head north for the Queen's View & other nature highlights). Towels & robes were also provided, saving space in the luggage. We had a lovely relaxing break here and could have happily stayed for longer. I would highly recommend The Doocot.
