Explore the lovely city of Glasgow from this central location with it's stunning Victorian and art nouveau architecture. The city centre and trendy Merchant City is just a 15 minute walk (or 5 min walk to bus stop). Designer boutiques, stylish cafes & bars fill former warehouses on Ingram Street and the Italian Centre, an elegant shopping block surrounding a courtyard. Gourmet Scottish, Indian and Mediterranean bistros dot the area, while cocktail lounges and gin bars occupy renovated 18th-century buildings. Cultural venues City Halls and the Old Fruitmarket host classical and pop concerts. Home to Scottish Opera, Scottish Ballet and National Theatre of Scotland, as well as acclaimed museums, art galleries and a thriving nightlife & music scene.
Beautiful Glasgow Green is on our doorstep and great for a run, walk or bike ride. Here you can pick up the City Sightseeing bus which connects you with all the main tourist attractions. There is also a great play area for children. The park is home to the People's Palace and Winter Gardens, where you can discover fascinating aspects of Glasgow life, the magnificent terracotta Doulton Fountain and multi-coloured facade of Templeton’s Carpet Factory, designed in imitation of the Doge’s Palace in Venice. Fully stocked supermarket, library and sports centre less than 5 minutes’ walk away. The Citizens Theatre is around the corner and the Tron Theatre a 10 minute walk.

The property is light & spacious. Indulge in a peaceful nights' sleep with 2 large bedrooms (1 king & 1 double bed) and free residents parking. Make dinner in a fully equipped kitchen. Chill with a meal and glass of wine in a stylish dining area in the spacious lounge, overlooking beautiful private gardens. There is also an eating area in the kitchen. There are large mirrored wardrobes in both bedrooms and plenty of storage. Full bathroom with bath and electric shower (constant supply of hot water). We have fast BT fibre wifi in the apartment and also a ROKU stick for streaming on to our TV and accessing your Netflix account. Property is on the second floor (no lift) and is strictly non smoking.
Within an hour are stunning lakes, mountains, golf courses and whiskey trails. Loch Lomond, Edinburgh and the coast are also within easy reach. Trains, buses & taxis are very close by, with easy access to the airport.
We are 5 minutes from the motorway system (M74, junction 1A). The airport is 15 minutes by car and train station about 10 minutes. The SECC and Hydro are also about a 10 minute drive away and easily reached by public transport. It is a 12 minute walk to Bridge Street subway and this is the quickest way to travel around the city. Glasgow Central station takes around 20 minutes to walk. Glasgow University can be reached in 25 minutes on public transport and Strathclyde university is a 20 minute walk away.
The Gorbals has undergone a total transformation, with modern apartments displaying metalwork sculptures by local artists at entrances and in the streets. There are lovely green spaces and the area is safe and quiet and mainly occupied by young professionals and families.
We can provide any help and advice needed to make the most out of your stay and also recommend some great places to eat and drink. There is a folder with full details in the apartment. I will always ensure that my guests have a perfect stay and experience the city like a local.

Sightseeing Glasgow
Excellent flat, well equipped and very friendly and helpful owners. Ideal situation for exploring Glasgow which is rich in buildings, museums, galleries and gardens. The flat is close enough to central and East side of city and near Glasgow Green and Palace gardens for walking and a drink at the West beer hall.5 minute walk to several buses into the Centre and 10 minute walk to the subway which can take you round to the West side of the city.

Beautiful Apartment .
The apartment was everything we could ask for, the host was very accommodating and helped throughout the process. Communication was down to the tee and we had a nice greeting, making that check in a little more easy.
The apartment itself was spacious for our family, and had all the amenities we needed. The host was above and beyond making it that bit more extra comfortable for us.
Convenience stores are just around the corner with everything you could need and handy parking just outside.
Would definitely return when we get the opportunity in the future.

Bright flat
The apartment was clean and bright In Gorbals area of Glasgow. We were only given an approx location when we booked which on reflection was not very helpful as it was further than we thought. We didn’t walk into the centre as it was too far through demolition sites and busy roads. Uber and taxi were fine to collect and drop us. There is a supermarket close by.

Hi Sue, it is VRBO policy to release the address 14 days before your stay for security reasons, however I can always provide the full address as soon as the booking is made. The location shown on my listing is actually very accurate too. It is a very peaceful location and the centre is an easy 15 minute walk over the river (or by bus which is 5 minutes walk away). DON'T SKIP THIS ONE. STAY HERE!
Besides how central and comfortable the apartment was, I'd say the best part was the communication with the host and myself. Marcia was very responsive making the booking, a few days before, and whenever we asked for some suggestion during our stay. There is a very organized book with suggestions, maps and menus. Marcia and Kevin could not have been nicer. The apartment has great parking and a small grocery store we used three times. Get Mackie's Ice Cream! The kitchen was clean and had everything you could want for a short stay. The bathroom was spacious, squeaky clean with plenty of hot water. My only problem was how to get out of the comfy sofa in front of the big tv and go see more of wonderful Glasgow. Don't skip this one. Stay here!

Marcia and her family rate 10 stars as hosts! Her usband and son hauled all our luggage up the two long flights of stairs when we arrived, and Marcia had stocked the friidge with milk and breakfast goodies. Their flat is lovely, well equipped, very quiet - exactly as pictured, and if you have a car, the neighbourhood is fine. We found it to be a bit isolated, and had huge difficulties getting taxis - apparently there's a shortage of drivers in Glasgow. We forfeited £100, because our prebooked taxi didn't show up to get us to a tour one morning. Uber turned out to be more reliable. So great flat, and wonderful hosts - 5 stars for sure.

Great flat, close to city centre Glasgow
We spent 4 days there recently and the flat was really lovely, warm, clean and comfortable. The neighbourhood was quiet and had a couple of shops nearby for groceries. We had a parking spot right outside the property too. The flat is very clean and modern and about a 15-20 min walk from the centre of Glasgow. The owner was really lovely and friendly and very helpful. Would highly recommend and stay there again if I was ever visiting Glasgow again.

The place to stay .
We stayed at this property for 8 days . It is in a very quiet and amiable location on the riverside of New Gorbals .
The bedrooms are very comfortable as is the lounge . The kitchen facilities are excellent.
And there lots of useful shops within two minutes.
Including a large coop . Lots of free parking outside the apartment . We looking forward to staying here again in the future.

My travel companion and I loved staying in Marcia's lovely apartment. She was so communicative and attentive to our needs. Check in was effortless. The space is lovely, comfortable and quiet. We appreciated being near a grocery store, a good cafe and within an easy walk to the bustle of Argyll Street. Highly recommend!

Excellent in all regards
Many others have written about the virtues of this place, the big spaces, the comfortable big beds with the best comforters (!) The new well equipped kitchen and sparkling bathroom with HUGE tub as well as shower.
But what impressed me most was the excellent lighting in all the rooms. Much due to the big picture window that could give you hours of pleasure just watching that ever changing Gladgow sky. All of the rooms had natural light as well as good reading lamps on BOTH SIDES of both beds, something not in our 20 years experience in VRBOs. We both like to read before bed so this was a real pleasure!
Marcia is beyond a perfect host, always there to answer a question or recommend good places to visit and/or dine.
Cannot enough good things about it.

Wonderful central apartment in peaceful location
We very much enjoyed our stay at Marcia's apartment. The location is perfect as it's not far from the centre of Glasgow and the location was very peaceful. The apartment was immaculate and has everything you could possibly need. Would highly recommend and if I'm ever in Glasgow again I will be sure to return.

Perfect Glasgow stay
Marcia and Kevin provide a spotless flat that was superbly comfortable for us. We enjoyed being out of the bustle of the city centre at the end of our sightseeing days. Beds are comfortable and the area was very quiet, even with windows open. The community green and the Gorbals Rose Garden are lovely spaces. Groceries were close by. We used the Hop-on-hop-off bus as our main transport (2 day pass) and picked it up at stop #6, a pleasant river walk from the flat. I would highly recommend this flat for a Glasgow visit.

Great Glasgow Getaway!

Marcia's communication and friendliness was great. Apartment very convenient for central Glasgow but also southern Glasgow which is why we booked there; parking right in front of apartment. Spacious, warm and comfortable 2 bedroom flat. Highly recommended.

lovely two bedroom flat in Glasgow
My 24 year old daughter and I just spent 5 days in this two bedroom flat near the River Clyde. It was everything we hoped for - very quiet and yet close enough to the city center that we could walk. The subway was also about a 10-15 minute walk which could take us anywhere we wanted to go in Glasgow. Our host Marcia and her husband were very helpful in settling us in and directing us to the nearby market and restaurants. The flat is extremely comfortable - we would happily return!!

This is a beautiful home from home
We have just returned from an absolutely fantastic stay at this apartment. The apartment is beautiful, clean, well kept and maintained. Very stylish indeed! Marcia, the property owner, really looked after us. She made sure everything was perfect, and as first timers in Glasgow, she gave us the best tourist advice on where to go, where to eat, etc. She is so good at communicating and she made us all feel so welcome. We travelled with our 2 children (including a baby) and they absolutely loved staying here, as did we.
Location wise, the apartment is close to all the amenities and easy to reach the motorway. It is a quiet place too, I didn't hear anyone above or below us when we were there, amazing!
My advice to anyone considering staying in this apartment - go and stay there, you will be so pleased you did!

Thoroughly enjoyed out stay here, and would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in Glasgow.
The appartment is in a great location with shops just around the corner, the merchant city is only about a 20 minute walk away and there’s a subway stop 10-15 minutes walk away.

"Absolutely marvellous!"
What a wonderful place to stay! Our host, Marcia, is outstanding. She communicates promptly, is very detailed in her replies, and is always very friendly. It is obvious that she cares not only about her guests' comfort but also that they enjoy their visit to Glasgow. Numerous travel pamphlets are provided in the apartment and Marcia has compiled a very detailed binder to answer any questions you may have about the property and the area. But I knew she was only a short message away to also answer any of my queries.
The apartment is absolutely lovely!!! The best place I've ever stayed through VRBO: bright, super clean, spacious, comfortable, and quiet. We kept the windows open at night and were amazed at the tranquility of the neighbourhood. My father said many times: "I can hardly believe it! It's absolutely marvellous here!"
The location of the apartment is perfect! It is very close to shops for all your amenities and is a lovely walk over the river to Clyde to Glasgow Green and the Merchant City. We did not use a car because we enjoyed our walks everyday, but there is parking right outside the front door for those who need it.
We loved every part of our stay and highly recommend Marcia as your host, and this apartment for your stay in Glasgow!

There are so many things that make this the perfect holiday rental. The property is very bright and sunny and has lovely private communal gardens which guests are free to use. It is only a short 15 minute stroll to the city centre and offers free parking right outside the property. We only have 5 star reviews from our guests on other sites we list on and they particularly love the location and high standards we maintain. We will do everything we can to make sure you have a great stay.
