If you want A True Desert Experience, in quiet, private, stillness under a star splattered sky, and lots of desert wild life ...THIS birders paradise is it. Drive one mile down a primitive road to a majestic paradise just 4 miles from Continental Shopping Center. Hiking trails, biking, shopping, shows, art shops and much more are right near by. New walk-in shower. You'll have covered parking, a washer and dryer, a courtyard patio with a fountain. Pets may be acceptable by request and approval. Very uneven walking surfaces, you need to be sure footed. Original artwork and tile work done by the homeowner. A lovely setting.

Green Valley getaway

Very nice cottage. For some, the location would be ideal. For me, it was a little too "remote" and a car was needed for everything. But the host was delightful and super responsive.

Cottage Bliss

We enjoyed the warm hospitality of Lana and Bill as well as the beautiful décor of the Cottage. The nights are dark, so star-gazing is possible. Lots of birds around as well. We spent a fair amount of time traveling east, west, and south of Green Valley, and the Cottage was well-situated for getting to those places. Lana provided a map for getting to the Cottage which was very helpful.

Friendly and creative

Lana was very friendly and welcoming, she even took the time to show me some of her art projects. The cottage is adorable and full of creative artistic details in every corner. It was the perfect place for my mom and I to spend a week while attending a local workshop. We always felt that we had plenty of privacy even though Lana lives next door, and if we needed anything she was only a text away. I will be recommending the Pomegranate Cottage to anyone visiting the area, and we will definitely be going back!

Cute cottage and excellent hosts,and good birding area

The cottage is beautifully decorated, well set up for cooking,lounging around, and has good TV, internet and amenities. It is an excellent place for a dog with lots of trails to explore. You can get a good morning walk and the location is close to good hiking trails in the nearby mountains. It is also close to good birding areas even in the winter and Bill is very knowledgeable about birds and generous with his advice about where to find birds. I was particularly struck by how hospitable both Lana and Bill were. I made an error in the reservation and they responded graciously and reorganized things so we could stay another night. We will definitely stay there again.

Wonderful host! Beautiful place to stay!

The Howards were lovely hosts. We arrived very late at night and they were super accomodating. We felt right at home from the moment of our arrival. Lana's beautiful artwork makes The Pomegranate Cottage such a serene place to stay. That, along with the piles of books they've collected, made it the perfect place for my husband and I. There's plenty of room inside and everything that we could have possibly needed was there. Very thoughtful hosts indeed! Outside there are plenty of places to take a walk, observe the wildlife or ride your bike. Sitting on the front patio one morning, the overhanging tree was filled with little finches; delightful company. The roads in and out are definitely desert/dirt but we had no problems at all accessing the place...even in the dark. Lana had everything well marked for us. It was a wonderful stay. We will most certainly return, no question!

Peaceful, beautiful cottage

When we finally reached the cottage, What a lovely surprise. We missed the turnoff and had to call the owner who guided us on the phone. The Pomagranate cottage one of the most beautiful, artistic places I have seen. I felt as if I was renting an artist's gallery. There is beautiful artwork everywhere you looked. I took many photos to remind myself of this one of a kind rental. It is very quiet and well outfitted with all the essentials. The owners are quick to respond to any needs or questions. It is a ways out on a dirt road, which was a bit much for our small rental car, we had to be careful to go slowly. An suv or truck would be what I'd own if I lived there. When we arrived at the cottage, after being gone most of the day, we felt we could relax without a care, that's how comfortable it is. Everyday, I discovered a different piece of art, a sculpture, a painting, a mosaic. Lana is truely a gifted artist, with much style. It shows in her artwork and the lovely, beautiful rental. She is also a gracious host. Thank you for sharing your beautiful cottage with us.

Cool cottage with lots of hiking opportunities

My husband, our 2 dogs and I felt very welcome at this beautifully decorated casita in the Arizona desert. The tile floors kept things cool and clean and the place was very well supplied with amenities basic and enhanced.

Charming cottage

We loved our week long stay at this comfortable and beautifully decorated casita in south Green Valley, AZ. While there we enjoyed several nearby attractions including shopping at Tubac, visiting/touring the San Xavier historic mission, Saguaro National Park, and Desert Museum. Bill and Lana were awesome hosts. We would definitely return and/or recommend this home to a friend.
