THE SPACE
Built in 1897 and situated on the 2nd floor of a beautifully tiled "Pombalino" style building with marble entrance and a wide sturdy staircase, you will immediately feel part of old Lisbon and all her charm.

Newly renovated to embrace many elements synonymous with Portuguese architecture including handmade Portuguese Azulejos tiles and Lioz stone, originating in the nearby Sintra area and commonly found throughout the city.

The apartment also features original wooden flooring, exposed stone and many other beautiful details.

*Bedroom 2 has Twin beds for friends and kids or a Super King bed for couples, and wonderful city views also enjoying the passing Tram 28*

*Bedroom 3 has a Single bed and a cosy reading area*

*Blackout blinds keep the sun at bay until you are ready to enjoy it!*

- RD’s Restaurant & Cafe (the loveliest home cooked traditional Nepalese food at the best prices - momo heaven! Super welcoming and very busy with the locals, a family run business)

- Cantinho da Fatima (lunch like a local, if you can find a seat) - 2mins

- Maria Limão (healthy brunch, crepes & freshly made lemonade and juices served to chilled beats) - 2mins

- Portela Cafes (cafe/bakery & the very best hot chocolate) - 2mins

- Hamburgueria No Talho (great choice quality of burgers) - 2mins

- A Padaria Portuguesa (classic Portuguese bakery) - 3mins

- O'Piteu (very popular traditional Portuguese lunch and dinner, if you can squeeze in) - 4mins

- Botequim (authentic, local, well priced, great food and late-night bar open all day with a sunny terrace perfect for people watching) - 4mins

- Graca 77 (inviting large sunny terrace and the friendliest owner (Antonio) make this a must visit all-day eatery with a pleasing array of vegetarian and vegan options)

- Damas (super cool and arty with a surprisingly good chalk board menu of gastronomic - many vegan - delights perfect for sharing)

- Li28oa (welcoming family run contemporary restaurant serving up delicious tapas and modern Portuguese dishes – the prawns are 5*!) - 10mins (Alfama)

- Loucos De Lisboa na Graça (cozy local backstreet bar with an eclectic tapas menu and great wine list to enjoy while watching the tram 28 pass by)

- Cantinho do Aziz (Mozambique soul food dishes – the place to enjoy an afro/Indian meal in the rustic backstreets of the old Moorish quarter) - 15mins (Mouraria)

GETTING AROUND
With everything right on your doorstep and picturesque walks tempting you to get lost in Lisbon’s winding streets you might prefer to explore by foot - it's just 1.5 miles to downtown (Chiado / Bairro Alto), but if you do need transport there are plenty of options.

The famous Tram 28 stops less than 2 min from the apartment and is a wonderful way to journey around the city passing quaint historic neighbourhoods and famous sites.

The bus stops at Sapadores and Rua da Graca are both less than a 2 min walk from the apartment and will take you to/from the local Metro or Train and beyond.

Tip: The Citymapper app for Lisbon is very useful for public transport info.

Electric Scooters and Bicycles are available to rent via apps such as Lime and Bolt and can be found in many places around the city – please follow safety and parking rules.

Taxis can be hailed in the street or found waiting at taxi stands (the closest is just 4mins walk away).
Taxis are able to pull up directly outside of the apartment building, typically costing 10-15EUR to/from Lisbon Airport.

Uber, Bolt and other transport apps all work perfectly in the city often offering savings on longer journeys compared to the taxis.

Parking on the street is possible and is charged by the hour (coin operated meter payable Monday to Saturday / 1.80EUR per hour / times vary).

A secure and convenient 24h Car Park operated by Empark is located at Santa Apolónia train/metro station and costs just 8EUR per day.
