Westfield is situated at the end of a farm track in the quiet hamlet of Colby Corner on a network of public footpaths and bridleways. The majority of rooms are on the ground floor but it broadly comprises as follows:
• Living Room with open fireplace, SMART TV and DVD player
• Upstairs One double bedroom with en suite shower room
• Fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher, washer/drier, microwave and cooker leading to an open plan
• Dining Area and sun lounge
• Bathroom downstairs off the hallway
• Twin bedroom with adjacent toilet and sink which has to be accessed through a
• Single bedroom
• Private gardens with open views. The rear garden is secure and there is patio furniture and seating to enjoy the open views

We have stayed twice at this property, for peace and quiet but within travel distance of places to visit my wife and myself thought it was ideal. We have two small dogs and as property is located at end of track no other vehicles use it. The property is clean and tidy, I would say decor is bit tired and if you can ignore certain DIY projects of which reflects in the price. Value for money and size of property should certainly be a contender when considering your holiday in this part of Norfolk.

We booked this cottage as we own a country cottage & thought we would be happy there. However, it has been seriously neglected, not only by the owners, the cleaner & the gardener. We choose this cottage from many especially as it states dog secure garden, it is not with 3 dogs ( the owner approved 3) its definitely not! The paint work throughout is extremely tired and needs a good clean, I have plenty of photos to demonstrate this. With cobwebs everywhere. The towels smelled of damp. The windows were filthy. I’m a keen gardener so to see the garden so neglected, full of stinging nettles and weeds was very disappointing and would have been a hazard if we had taken small children. Garden full of rotting apples again a trip hazard.The bathroom downstairs sink had no hot water (they left us a note) but no one came to fix it. The location is ideal & the kitchen is well stocked for eating in although it lacked cooking oil & spices (only salt) provided. We didn’t write in the visitors book as several pages had been ripped out as I’m sure ours would have been.

Thank you for your feedback. We feel that this score is disproportionately harsh, but you are entitled to your opinion and we respect that. However for future clients a little context might be useful. We reluctantly accepted this booking explaining that the cottage would be cramped but were assured that it would be fine! No extra charge was applied for the extra pet. Regrettably in trying to do the right thing we feel that we have incurred this poor feedback. Equally the visitors did not contact us during their stay to convey their issues or provide us with an opportunity to remedy them. If things are not to your satisfaction please contact us during your stay not afterwards,

This is a charming rustic cottage in a very rural position. The furniture and beds were comfortable and there is a decent size garden good for kids or dogs. The kitchen and bathrooms were old fashioned but functional, except for a tap (waiting for a plumber to attend) and a slightly sensitive hot/cold shower tap. Kitchen was well equipped and everything was explained in the instructions. A small dishwasher and a washing machine were very useful.The cottage is situated down a narrow green lane so access for larger vehicles is problematic if you don't want your car scratched by brambles! We reversed down the lane to the cottage to prevent having to turn around at the property. The green lane is very quiet with very few walkers.Be aware that the windows upstairs are at a dangerous height for young kids, or adventurous escaped canines, as they are not restricted and can fully open. So adults only in the upstairs bedroom!Overall a pleasant stay if you want peace and quiet and are happy to travel to local beaches or attractions. Blickling Hall is fairly close and recommended.

Delightful country cottage in a secluded location, yet perfectly located for exploring North Norfolk!Very quiet, pet friendly with pretty safe garden area and well equipped with everything we needed, all at a very reasonable price.Communication with Paula was easy. Would definitely consider revisiting if coming back to the area.

We arrived early on a scorching hot bank holiday with a dog to avoid travel in midday heat. We asked if we could enter 4hrs early as the property looked like it had been cleaned already. The host promptly said yes. It is spacious, has 3 toilets. The garden is very spacious, biff bats were out and the dog was loving life. Every item in the kitchen is present, all utensils, even tupperware, which proved very helpful. Lots of cooking pans and trays. We loved the sun room in the day and the cosy living room in the evening. Plenty of space for 4/5 people. We read a few of the books and watched some of the dvds. The beds are very comfy and everything looked and felt clean. Tesco was 10min drive away. Lots of beaches within 15-40mins, we never visited the same one twice. We visited The Village Inn pub in West Runton after visiting the excellent dog friendly beach. Great food, decent price and large garden with lots of benches. All beaches have dog friendly areas. We were splitting our days with hot mornings in the garden and later afternoon beach visits with the dog. There was so much more we could do and will definitely be returning. Our favourite stay so far in home rentals. One thing to remember...you are in the woodland and we did pick up a hitch hiker, a tick was found on Dad's leg one evening. The dog is covered, but us humans are not without spray if you're wearing shorts! The setting is tranquil and the peaceful location was exactly what was needed.

The property could have been a lot cleaner, we had to wipe several surfaces clean of dead flies, cobwebs and what appeared to be grit.Sitting outside for any length of time was unpleasant, we had to move back inside, because of the overwhelming smell of the heating oil from the oil tank so close to the property. You even had to close the outside doors in the sun room to shut out the smell.The garden is completely uncared for with nettles growing over 3ft around the perimeter and there is only the apple tree as a feature. The grass had obviously not been cut for sometime.It would have been good to have a smart tv rather than the postage stamp sized tv that was there. The property does have Internet connection so why not a smart tv so guests have available what they most certainly have at home.And just ONE wine glass!We thought the whole property could benefit from a bit of tlc.We did not leave any negative comments in the visitors book but wanted to give feedback to the owners as to improvements that we think could be made to better the experience of future guests.

The cottage was a home away from home, very well equipped, clean and very comfortable. Ideally situated with walks from the door for the dogs and near to all this part of Norfolk has to offer, lovely beaches NT houses and pretty villages. A thoroughly lovely stay

Peaceful place to relax with the dogs. The kitchen was so well equipped, beds were comfortable ideal to wind down! Loved watching the hares in the fields next to the cottage at dusk.

A very peaceful stay, very well equipped clean and comfortable accommodation. Perfect for a dog, enclosed garden. Close enough to the pub and ' The Fish Shop' (excellent value btw). Local walks and wildlife to look out for, Deers Hares and various birds. National trust membership is a good call for local locations, stately homes and grounds and some coastal locations. Lidl and Sainsbury's near enough for supplies. Look out for driveway honesty boxes, Jams and chutneys nearby, very good.Artisan cafe is nearby for breakfast/brunch, cakes, tea, very goodOverall, great value for money location, comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen, didn't need for anything else.Thank youHighly recommended

We had a lovely relaxed stay and ended up staying an extra couple of nights which our host organised for us when we requested this. The property had everything we needed and is in a peaceful location. Our dog enjoyed the garden. We liked the sun room and dining area in particular and spent most of our time there and in the garden. We did trips to Sea Palling, Cromer, Sheringham and Wroxham all within easy driving distance.

Perfect short break

Our first-ever visit to this part of North Norfolk, and this cottage provided the perfect base to explore the coast and surrounding countryside. Clean, comfortable and cosy but without being ‘over-fussy’meaning we could feel very relaxed about our two fully housetrained (but hairy) golden retrievers who had a wonderful time investigating the local fields and walks or chilling out in the secure garden.Would happily come and stay here again if the route from Wiltshire was less tortuous - it doesn’t look as though the Romans ever made it to Norfolk.

The intrinsic character of the building and surroundings have been preserved to create a very comfortable and relaxing experience while being enhanced with all the trappings of modern life.
