Villa Kamares - Nossa Linda Casa no Deslumbrante Peloponeso - por Stoupa

Villa Kamares - our lovely and substantial gated family home with swimming pool, in the beautiful Frigano area just above Stoupa. We particularly love the outdoor space: the various terraces (from which the house is named) and the spacious outdoor areas. It is perfect for sun-soaking or enjoying a morning coffee as you watch the sun rising over the mountains. In the evening from our covered sun terrace, you can admire the wonderful, ever-changing sunsets, with the Messinian Bay glittering below.

Here you can relax with a glass of local wine while listening to the cicadas all around. It is our pleasure to help our guests to feel like they are staying in our home – not just a rented space.

Our home has three comfortable bedrooms, each with luxury cotton bed linen and towels; two well-appointed bathrooms; a large kitchen dining area; a large sitting room with sun terraces either side, one of which is covered and has comfy seating available to enjoy the striking sunsets. There are several shaded terraces for eating/reading/doing nothing much, and lots of outside seating, including poolside seating with shady umbrellas. Our Villa is orientated to take advantage of the mountain and coastal views, cooling sea breezes and the magnificent sunsets.
This is a friendly family home with all its conveniences available to guests. There is a well-stocked kitchen (for those who like to cook,) which includes a large hob, spacious fridge freezer, coffee machine, and dishwasher. It opens on to a dining area with seating for up to 10 guests. There is lots of crockery, cutlery, and glassware available. For everyday convenience there is a washing-machine; top quality towels (and beach towels), air-conditioning and all bed linen, plus free WiFi. In fact, everything to make your stay a perfect one. The washing machine, iron, ironing board, and extra garden furniture, are kept discreetly in the basement.
Our home has everything you need for a comfortable stay, and for exploring the beautiful Greek countryside and the Greek way of life. From here you can explore the wonderful Mani - we have some included some pictures for you of the numerous nearby beaches and the many picturesque villages. You can walk around the many local footpaths, and sample the local delicious food and wine. Photographers will have a wonderful time capturing the beautiful sunsets and the majestic mountains.
Villa Kamares is also less than 2 minutes' drive from the beaches of Stoupa with its crystal clear water and many Tavernas. The local beach at Kologria is a favourite, as is the huge choice of fantastic restaurants in Stoupa. Close by are the delightful villages of Aghios Nikolaos and Kardamili - all very different and equally charming. The house wine by the carafe in all local tavernas is always good; as are the cocktails (and amazing views) at the 360 Bar in Stoupa. Going further afield you may want to rent a boat for half a day/day; or visit the Diros caves, and the fascinating town of Areopoli. Of course, relaxing by the pool also makes a lovely lazy day; add a barbecue and all is perfect. A drive into mountains offers amazing views, several great Tavernas and many small villages with their own special character.

During the hottest afternoons, you can relax on the shady terraces and at night you can watch the moon and stars from the roof terrace. Although WiFi worked perfectly, we chose to familiarise ourselves with the house's library where you can find maps, books, novels, Greek history, and recipe books. There is a lovely romantic pool in a spectacular garden with fruit trees and aromatic plants: we will remember this holiday for a long time and recommend the house to everyone we know.
