Family vacation

This was our first time booking through a rental company and last. The floors werr filthy. Turned our feet black so we wore sandals while inside. There was no table as pictured on the balcony whick was a big disappointment as we always have meals and hangout together there. Beds were comfortable. Area rugs would help alot.

Spring Break!

We enjoyed our stay here. It was very clean and large 4 bedroom unit. The property was clean and in a convenient location. There was definitely some minor wear and tear but overall a nice unit with an amazing view.

Gulf coast jam trip

The condo was very nice and roomy.We had a couple of issues with bath tub draining and with the AC — the maintenance was taken care of right away and we appreciated that.

Spring break with teenagers

My best friend and I took our 4 teenage daughters to the beach for spring break. Booking was smooth. We had a corner condo. The condo was just as pictured and the layout was perfect for the 6 of us. It was very clean. The pool and hot tub were very nice and we enjoyed the ocean views from our patio. Communication with the host was very smooth and timely. We let them know one of the showers was draining slow and they were willing to send someone right over to fix it. There were many restaurants and activities in walking distance. We will definitely stay here again!

Family of 7 adults and 2 children. Had room to be together and TVs in rooms when we were separate. Walked to dinner, breakfast, and mini golf. Pool and ocean access was easy and able to get kids in and out

We loved the condo and the location. It was clean all except the floors not being mopped.

It was great all but the floors not being mopped and turning our feet black so we had to mop the floors.

Family vacation

We enjoyed our stay in 1801 in the Ocean Reef Condos. The condo had plenty of room for my husband and my 4 kids. We loved the flooring and the view! The only thing that could use improvement are the mattresses. They were all uncomfortable with no support, especially the one in the master bedroom. An area rug near the couches would be nice too, to make the condo more cozy. We had a great time and would consider staying at this condo again!

Wonderful Memories.

Amazing Views, plenty of room for family, great access to Beach and Pools. Only two incidents negative - 1. was incorrect Access Code instructions to unlock took over 3O mins when I figured out on my own accidentally. 2. And floors turned out feet and socks Black.

Spring Break steal

The property was perfect for bringing 6 teenagers down for senior spring break. The location of the property was accurately described and suited our purposes. The property needs a few updates (toilets are pretty low) and I like suggest changing out the furniture to designs that are more beach appropriate. The younger kids enjoyed the pools, but the outdoor pool as freezing. Overall, the property was nice and we enjoyed it tremendously. The only one issue that I would suggest they fix is the unannounced and unscheduled maintenance workers entering the property.

The view and the amenities were very nice. I love the pool access to the ocean was great. The real issue was when we got there. There was still someone there cleaning even though it was late in the day at 4 PM. Also leave an extra roll of toilet paper And paper towels or a trash bag. There should be at least one roll extra per bathroom I would suggest. And have a couple extra trash bags there. I like to keep places I stay at extremely clean and some basic supplies would be nice. I would also recommend maybe a later check out the 9 AM. I think 11 is acceptable and the average. I would recommend staying in. These are just a couple little nitpicky things that I suggest. Others may not agree. But definitely would love to stay at this location again and with this company. They did a fantastic job.

Nice Condo

The condo was nice but the property lacked a few amenities. No carts to haul luggage or groceries. The pool was nothing special but appeared clean. Since we had six in the condo more towels would have been better but there is a washer. No filters for coffee maker nor salt and pepper. No shampoo/conditioner just soap. Just a few things we noticed lacking that other condos have. Would recommend.

Very disappointing

Where to begin. Units needs a deep cleaning. We spent first day of three days cleaning. Beds were very uncomfortable, minimum towels provided and kitchen was lacking in a significant way. Remodel was cheapest I have ever seen. Advertised as two parking spots, it’s one. The one we got had someone else parked in it and staff said nothing they could do about it. Lesson learned, we will never book a property just used to make money. We will look for a home periodically rented out.

While comfort level of a mattress depends on the individual guest; we are currently working with our owners to get mattresses addressed. We do offer enough towels/washcloths based on the occupancy amount the unit has. It is important guests let us know if anything seems amiss so we can address immediately and get the situation rectified as soon as possible. There are two parking spaces for this condo. The additional parking space is located in the overflow parking lot across the street. We sincerely apologize about the issues you had encountered. The HOA is not very inefficient and the host was not very responsive to keep you informed of the time frame for repairs. I asked for a time frame when the elevators would be repaired and I was told I would be notified as soon as possible. That was on a Monday and it’s Friday and I still haven’t received a response. I notified the host as soon as the AC wasn’t working properly and they asked me to check the breakers. I had to trip the breakers every few hours just to keep the air going. I told them what I found and they said Great ! They would contact me in the morning which they never did. I requested a discount for having to walk up 14 floors with luggage & food which was hard for my family but was told it wasn’t their responsibility. I paid for this condo in full up front and told them my reservation should have been canceled when the elevator didn’t work and we were on the 18th floor. Some members of my family could not continue to walk up and down the stairs so I was forced to find another rental so I didn’t waste this vacation that I had planned and saved months for. Clearly this agency cared more about the money from renting than the safety & satisfaction of their renters. I would never recommend staying at the Ocean Reef or booking a rental through Southern Vacation Rentals.Elevators didn’t work upon our arrival and the AC kept going on and off because a condensing unit breaker kept tripping.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the challenges you experienced during your stay, particularly with the elevator outage and air conditioning issues. We understand how frustrating this must have been and truly regret the inconvenience caused. The Homeowners Association notified us on your arrival day that the elevators were out of service, which was unfortunately beyond Southern’s control. Your AC concern was reported on check in day, our property manager provided troubleshooting steps that restored function. We followed up to confirm it was working but did not receive notice that the issue persisted until the day before checkout. We regret that our team did not follow up sooner and acknowledge that communication could have been better. We confirm that your reservation has been reviewed and compensation credited. Your feedback is greatly appreciated and we hope to have the opportunity to regain your patronage with a future stay.

Nice place, but a lot of issues

Beautiful Home but we were quite unfortunate: 1. When we arrived, all the dishes had to be re-cleaned and the all the floors needed to be mopped (covered in sand). 2. The AC made a really loud noise whenever it was turned on 3. The shower drains didn’t work, so we literally took showers with 3 inches of water on our feet. I reported all this to the property manager and was just ignored. So I escalated it to VRBO and was ignored again. Finally I did a survey in my last 2 days and they finally decided to come up to the room and fix the drains. By this time, we only had 2 days left of our 7 day vacation. The place is beautiful and great for large groups but the service was horrible.

Beach trip with girls

The condo needs a deep cleaning . The base boards and air vent was really dirty. The master bathroom tub did not drain well. The TV remotes was difficult to use with no instructions in condo on how to use the remote. Location was nice away from the busy area of the beach. Sunset was beautiful !!!
