Spacious cabin on Big Sandy

Spacious, new cabin on fabulous Big Sandy Lake in Northern Minnesota. This cabin is located in a private setting positioned uniquely for the best sunset views Big Sandy has to offer.

Big Sandy stunner is a 3 bedroom, 3 bath lake home with a walkout basement that comfortably sleeps 6. It has a fully equipped and large kitchen and living area. Lake home is located just north of McGregor, Minnesota, conveniently 2-2.5 hours north of the Twin Cities.

This home is equipped with resplendent luxuries and modern comforts such as climate control, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, cable TV, full gourmet kitchen and much much more! Shallow, sandy lake shore is great for swimming, fishing, and entertaining. You can swim, float and play right from the dock. We have a new dock section with wonderful bumpers to tie up your boat and a paddle boat for you to use.

This amazing region is incredibly beautiful, awe-inspiring and is loaded with unique and fun activities and adventures. You can swim, fish, bike, canoe, boat, eat in or out, golf, shop, shoot guns, snowmobile, ATV, plus see wildlife views throughout expansive public parks and land.

Big Sandy Lake is an amazing size lake at just over 6,500 acres. It's big enough to water ski, tube, jet-ski, boat, etc. but is typically uncrowded, quiet, clean, sandy and loaded with fish. It also has a sandbar for recreation during hot summer days, as well as 5 restaurants and bars that are accessible by boat. The neighborhood too is quiet and good for walking, biking, etc. The yard is equipped with a fire-pit, outdoor dining setup on the upper deck, and more and is big enough for most yard games.

This cabin is excellent for a family-fun filled getaway anytime of year!

Maid service available during stay for $100 a day.

Wonderful home and beautiful property

We had a fabulous weekend! The house was clean and fresh and had all the amenities we could want. The dock was wonderful to hang out on and play in the lake. Would love to return here year after year!

Fabulous!

We rented this cabin for our extended family now for the fourth year in a row. The time we spend there is one of our family’s most fun yearly adventures. It is extremely clean and well kept. The new dock and upgraded fire pit area added even more fun to this year’s experience. We find Zach and Christie extremely friendly and accommodating. We highly recommend this cabin!

Great big sandy getaway!

This property was perfect for our first family vacation. The hosts were very responsive & made our first family vacation with our 9 month old baby a breeze. The home was clean & had everything that we could have ever needed. Definitely would be interested in renting this cabin again!

Cabin Week @ Big Sandy

Pictures don’t do the property justice, it is much nicer than advertised. Lake was great, especially around the dock area where our kids spent all kinds of time swimming. Kitchen was top notch, bathrooms clean. Could have asked for much more. Many thanks for sharing your lake home with us !

Amazing sunsets

We had a wonderful week at this cabin. We had three couples and there was plenty of room and it was nice having three bathrooms! Very well maintained and the owners were very responsive to any questions we had. The only negative was too many stairs to the lake. There was a way to drive down to the lake which was great especially with coolers, etc. although the road could have used some grating.

Weekend Trip

The property was very clean and very well kept. It is obvious that Zac and Christie take pride in their lake-house. Zac and Christie provided excellent instructions and and were easy to make contact with for questions and any other needed correspondence. If you are planning a trip to this area I would highly recommend staying at Zac and Christie's property. Thank you again.

Great time!

We loved our time on Big Sandy. Your place provided all we needed for a relaxing get-away with family. It was clean, comfortable, well appointed and offered spectacular sunset views. Except for the 57 steps to the lake, we couldn't have had a better experience, but even that slight inconvenience offered us a chance to getting the blood pumping!

Perfect location

This is a great property with close proximity to marina, restaurants and groceries. The cabin is very clean, fully equipped with necessities, and surprisingly quiet. The sunsets are beautiful. We had perfect weather, caught some fish, and enjoyed the water sports. Couldn't have asked for a better time! We would definitely come back!

Wedding weekend

The cabin was great for the weekend of prepping for a wedding we had in the area. Kitchen was great and was spacious! Didn't get to spend alot of time in the lake, kids enjoyed it while adults worked in kitchen. Was a nice experience. Only thing was bedding on upstairs bedroom didn't appear to be clean, overall would stay there again! Thank you

Fabulous experience once again!

This is our second time staying at this lake home with our family. It is exactly as promised…spotless for cleanliness, so much to offer on and in the property, and the owners are incredibly easy to work with and very prompt to respond to any communication. To top off a wonderful stay, each evening you have a fabulous view of the most beautiful sunsets. ❤️ We highly recommend this property!!

Lovely family cabin

This cabin was just perfect for our family of four adults and two young children. The cabin had many toys and games for infant to preschool aged children. Our grandkids were never bored. The deck is just wonderful and sunsets were beautiful. Our three year old grandson loved the beach and the yard. We had a very enjoyable stay.

Relaxing vacation!

We enjoyed our 4 days at this house. It was spacious and had a beautiful view of the lake from the windows of the kitchen/living room and also the deck. We spent a lot of time on the deck. It is not a sandy shore until you get out a few feet, but our 4 year old had fun jumping off the dock. We enjoyed using the paddle boat. Although we took our boat out of the water each day, it was a nice option to have bumpers on the dock if we chose to keep it out. We had a 4 year old and a 1 1/2 year old with us so it was a huge bonus to have the swing and the toys both upstairs and downstairs and also the choice of a crib on either floor. We would stay here again!

Beautiful cabin

My husband and I came to McGregor with some friends to enjoy a weekend on the lake. Our stay was wonderful! The views from both levels of the home were spectacular! There was a great weed-free swimming area by the dock and we enjoyed hanging out by the fire in the evenings. The cabin came fully equipped with everything we needed for a great weekend.

Fabulous!

This is a very well kept property. It was extremely clean and everything was in super good shape. We knew we were going to like this property and the owners when we saw how detailed they were with our directions for arrival and departure. We were not disappointed. This Lakehome was exactly what we were looking for. It is immaculately clean, well cared for, and a very open floor plan that allows for a group to easily gather and enjoy each other’s company. They even invited our grandchildren to use the toys there, and it added an extra layer of fun for our Littles. Zak and Christie are very responsive as noted by others in their comments. Not only are they helpful before the arrival, but if you have a question they promptly respond, and Zak even checked in on us by text when there was a possible storm coming through so that we knew where the candles, etc. were. Long story short, we could not have been more pleased and once we align our schedules with our children, we hope to plan another trip there next year!

Worked great for our family. Christie is very responsive. Only issue is they use the property a lot and have all closets in Master and Pantry in kitchen locked up. I get that but not where to hang close or store a week’s worth of food. We made it work just fine. Would diffintley stay there again

Loved it!

Our first (and definitely not last) trip to Big Sandy. The cabin was perfect for 3 adult couples. We spent a lot of time on the big deck enjoying the spectacular view. We brought our boat and utilized the dock too. We had great weather and even (unexpectedly) caught some walleye. Would definitely recommend to this place!!
