Raystown Lake Retreat for the Family Just Minutes from 7-Points

This listing is perfect for the family coming to the Raystown Lake area. This house is just three miles from the Seven Points recreation area that includes access to public boating, swimming, fishing, hiking, dining, camping, and biking on the Allegrippis Trails.

The house features two bedrooms and one full bath with an updated Bath Fitter tub and shower unit with sterdy safety bars. The main bedroom offers a queen sized bed, while the other bedroom has twin sized bunk beds and another twin bed separate from the bunks. New windows were installed in July 2022 for even more efficient heating and cooling with an updated style!

We strive to be family friendly. While we appreciate a good time around the campfire, we want to remind future guests that parties or large gatherings are not permitted. If the intention of your getaway is to party late into the night with outside guests, we kindly ask that you look at other rental opportunities in the area. Neighbors are few and far between, but we want to be respectful of the ones that are here!

There is carpet throughout the entire house. There is ample parking for boats and lots of room for the kids to run and play. We offer several amenities that we hope will make you feel right at home while you are here, including laundry facilities in the basement. We invite you to use the washer and dryer in the basement, but we do emphasize that the basement is not advertised living space at the lodge.

While you are only a five minute drive from the lake, you are just seven miles from the conveniences of 24-hour shopping and restaurants in the town of Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, eight miles from the quaint campus of Juniata College, thirty-five miles from the excitement of Altoona Curve baseball and shopping at the Logan Valley Mall, and forty miles from Penn State University including Penn State football at Beaver Stadium and a wide variety of events at the Bryce Jordan Center.

Our unique getaway also offers a cottage on the property that would be perfect for the extended family to join in the country fun. The cottage sits just across the driveway. What a peaceful place to spend a few nights while visiting family in Huntingdon! We appreciated the big, comfortable, clean couches and overall cleanliness of the home. It was roomy and had everything we neededā€¦so much nicer than staying in a hotel room or two. While itā€™s an older home, itā€™s very cozy and has clearly been well-loved and cared for over the years. Weā€™d certainly stay here again on our next visit to central PA. Thank you very much for hosting my parents, my son and me! Beautiful views!

We enjoyed our time at the house . It was very clean, cozy, and had the perfect amount of space for our four kids to run around outside . We all enjoyed the sun room and watching the wildlife outside. It was a peaceful environment and we will hopefully be able to come again as a family in the future .

We've never rented a private residence/property before and were a bit skeptical. We were so happy to have rented from Tim! The property was exactly has he described and thoroughly cleaned. They obviously take care to insure the comfort of their tenants. From towels and bedding to cooking utensils and a few family games. The one slight negative was we couldn't get the DVD player to work but that could well have been on us and our unfamiliarity with the setup. It was such a minor thing that it didn't take away from our enjoyment of the weekend. I would certainly stay here again if our travels bring us back to the Heston/Huntington area!

This was a real decent place to stay. My kids loved it and the a/c worked great! I was super impressed with how clean everything was. It was outdated, but it was well kept and everything worked as it should. We really enjoyed our stay here and would certainly not hesitate to stay here again. Fall would be a nice time to stay here as we would've used the firepit outfront and the 3 season room off of the dining room if it was a little cooler outside. Overall, excellent experience! Thank you!

Another great stay. Clean, easy check in, great location. This was our second stay here and it was perfect. The weather didnā€™t cooperate but I canā€™t blame anyone for that. We were still able to paddle the lake, fish, hike, and bike. Then come home for plenty of relaxation. Thanks for everything, hopefully we'll be back soon.

Very convenient location. Coming up the mountain was quite the experience! So many stars and wildlife. Didnā€™t spend a lot of time at the property but found it to be very comfortable.

Peaceful Mountain Cabin

Very cute home stocked with everything you need, and plenty of extra toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher pods, trash bags, etc. The cabin fit our needs as a couple and would easily accommodate a family with kids in the bunk bed room. It is an older home, but well-loved and decorated in a welcoming mountain cabin theme. The bed, couch, and recliner were comfortable. I spent many evenings on the sun porch and we used the gas grill a few times. There is another rental next room, but we were never bothered by other renters, in fact we only saw them once because of how the homes are oriented looking down the valley on a very large piece of property. Plenty of room for a boat. The communication was wonderful and the owner immediately worked to resolve an issue during our stay. We enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend it.

Lincoln Caverns Tour

Peaceful rural location for our 2 night stay. The property has a beautiful view of the small mountain upon which the property is located. The house was cozy and adequately warm despite the extremely cold weather we had the weekend of our stay. The queen size mattress in the one bedroom was very comfortable. The twin mattresses in the other bedroom were not very comfortable since they had no boxsprings; they were a bunk bed set plus an additional twin bed. Host was prompt to respond to messages.

Great place for a small Thanksgiving gathering

We live in Maryland and our nephew is attending Penn State. We wanted to spend Thanksgiving with him and his wife and their large, loveable but energetic dog. Tim's place worked perfectly. The property is dog-friendly and the house clean and comfortable. It was a great place for preparing and eating our meal together. Would definitely stay here again!

Raystown Lake vacation

Check in was easy, the home was clean, and close to the Lake which was nice since we had our boat with us. Our dogs enjoyed the trip too. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay again. Thanks, Anna, Mike, Riley, and Bailey.
