A year-round retreat for family vacations, reunions, weddings and horse lovers. With breathtaking views from the hills surrounding Bethany in Kawartha Lakes, Sky Haven Equestrian Centre is known for its immense sky views and luxurious accommodation. Heated DOUBLE pool with water slide, water volleyball and lighted at night! (May to October - bear in mind that the shoulder seasons can be unpredictably cold in Canada and may affect pool heating feasibility on rare occasions) Beginner Horse Experiences and Riding lessons as well as canoe restoration workshops. Hiking and walking trails, games room, office space, stunning atrium space with 360 degree country views (extra charges may apply). Fire pit with wood, basketball, bocce ball, trampoline, playground, badminton, table tennis, croquet, baseball & more. See for yourself! Search Sky Haven Equestrian online and on Youtube. Your suite is the entire single level of one wing of the house. You will have a private entrance and driveway. Your suite and patio open to ground level. I live on site in a separate area. You will have exclusive use of the entire backyard with covered patio, lights, music, BBQ and outdoor kitchen and heated double 20x40 pools with water slide and volleyball net and underwater lights for night! There are wedding venues nearby, excellent caterers, Mosport race track, skiing and a short distance to lakes. My property is an ideal location for smaller year-round weddings - indoors or outdoors and reception. Please inquire about pricing for weddings and events.

In Bethany you will find a cafe with yummy treats and ice cream, an LCBO, General Store, IDA Pharmacy, Diner with take out Pizza and Gourley's Service Station.
Wutai Shan Bhuddist Garden is just down the road.
KIDS STAY FREE - when entering number of guests, don't enter your children under 17 years.

Highly recommend this place if you’re looking to unwind for the weekend and excellent place for family bonding, this would be it. The host was exceptional and made sure we had what we needed to make our stay special. Host was easy to reach out to no matter the time of the day. I would definitely come back to this place. 3 days 2 nights were definitely not enough to enjoy this place!

Amazing Family Vacation

We spent over a week at the property, and everybody enjoyed the facility and hospitality of the host. The beds were comfy, the pool was warm, and there was plenty of room for us to sprawl out, play games, and explore. The horses were the perfect backdrop for a relaxing vacation, and were complimented by the views.

The property is beautiful and Deborah is wonderful. We celebrated our 50th Anniversary with 10 adults and 6 kids and had so much fun.

I stayed with my grownup children & grandchildren and we had a fantastic time. Deborah was accessible when needed and easy to talk with. Loved the double pool and it was used constantly. Definitely would stay again.

Amazing place

Amazing stay! I had a group of friends (15 total and our dogs) to celebrate my up coming wedding and this place was the most perfect location. Lots of space indoors and out to play games and hangout. Deborah was so helpful and everything was a breeze.

Host was very friendly and communication was great. Pet friendly was a bonus. Even though they were on site, host was good about giving privacy

Canada trip in June

Debra was an amazing host her outdoor area was amazing with heated pool. She also made great recommendations of some places to go nearby. Port Perry is definitely a nice place to go. It’s only 20 minutes away and has great restaurants. Definitely will go back if I’m in that area again

Fantastic family getaway

Our family had a great extended weekend here at this beautiful cottage! We had lots of young kids in our group and none of them were ever bored. There were so many activities available to us at the cottage, with the main attraction being the double heated pool. It was great to have Deborah show us around and always available when we had any questions. Highly recommend this cottage and would love to return in the future!

Family wedding stay

Great for a family group, lots to do. Deborah was very accommodating and checked in regularly to ensure all was well. Beautiful setting for pre wedding event and photos. Very clean and kitchen had everything we needed. A few updates/ refreshes would align more with the price, one bedroom was quite warm as it didn’t have a window for air flow.

Amazing

My friends and I spent our NYE weekend at this lovely place! Lots of space (we were a group of 10) and super comfortable. Deborah was a great host, very friendly and checked in to see if there was anything more she could do to make or stay better! Overall, I’d love to come again… maybe in the summer to be able to enjoy the pool area and on site activities!

Bachelorette

Our stay here for the bachelorette was AMAZING. The property is breathtaking and Deborah was a great host. Our stay was all adults but would also be great with family's as there is a swing set and trampoline aswell as the STUNNING pool. Her one dog kept us company all weekend which was also a bonus. 10/10

Family Vacation

We were absolutely thrilled with everything! Our host was amazing! From initial contact at booking, through the entire stay and departure, she was available and extremely helpful. The property was immaculate and perfect for our family of 10 adults and many small children. There was lots to do on site and space for everyone. The play area and pool were our favourites! The kitchen was very well appointed for cooking, baking and barbecueing. We rate it 5+ stars!

Perfect for our small wedding

We chose Sky Haven to host our small wedding because of the beauty of the property. The lush green grass and trees, the beautiful gardens and of course the home itself. We loved taking advantage of all of the beautiful spaces inside and out. The atrium was a beautiful indoor space, flooded with natural light. The host Deborah was incredible, she was very prompt in communication and was a dream to deal, helpful, kind and responsive.

Amazing family weekend!

This place is just amazing. We were 18 adults and 3 kids and we all enjoyed our stay. The kids had fun in the pool, the trampoline and play structure. Enough space for everyone while being outside by the BBQ and pool or inside. The host is great and attentive. She responds quickly to any requests. The kitchen has everything you need (and more) for cooking meals and serving them. I highly recommend it. We will definitely be back.

April Wedding

We just hosted our small, 40 guest wedding at Sky Haven this past weekend. Everything was absolutely incredible. The weather didn’t want to cooperate for us, so everything was held indoors in the atrium and it fit our group perfectly. Deborah was an absolute delight to work with and she was so so helpful as we had to adjust our plans. Our guests and wedding party absolutely adored the location and it was such a great place to spend the weekend with all of our closest friends and family. We used the lower suite for the girls to get ready on the day of, and we felt like we had so much space to keep separate from the groomsmen.

Celebrated our dog’s birthday here!

We booked this property for our dog’s birthday getaway! We have 2 reactive dogs and the owner is very understanding and accommodating. The fenced in yard is large enough to throw the ball around and for our 2 dogs to run and play without worrying about them wandering out. The best part is the dogs are allowed in the pool! We had an amazing time, beautiful property, the owner is very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend this place! They have a nice game room area with pool table and shuffleboard and a good selection of books as well. Netflix was also available on the tv!

Bliss at Sky Haven Retreat

We had a fantastic time at Sky Haven during our family reunion in August! The cottage stay was a true delight. The well-equipped kitchen made cooking a breeze, and the great pool added an extra layer of relaxation to the trip. It was wonderful to see how kid-friendly the place was, and the horse-riding opportunity was a big hit. We shouldn't forget to appreciate Erica's patience during the horse riding lessons. The pool table and indoor activities kept not only the youngsters but also the adults busy. Overall, it was a PERFECT getaway for families and anyone looking to unwind amidst beautiful surroundings. Thank you, Deborah, for your warm hospitality!

Perfect for all Ages!!!

Deborah's property exceeded our expectations for our diverse group of 14, spanning ages 6 to 85! Breathtaking views and lots of activities for everyone! The pool was definitely the highlight for the children. We really appreciated how there were lots of towels and pool toys available (one less thing to worry about!). There were also a variety of outdoor games like cricket, badminton and spike ball. During the evenings we took advantage of the billiard table and shuffleboard. The property was exactly as described and we would not hesitate to return for another stress free little getaway. Overall, great location, well equipped with all basic necessities, lots of privacy and spacious for large groups.

Exceptional Stay & an Amazing HostDeborah is truly an outstanding host, and this place was top-notch in every way. I travel frequently with friends, family, and my beloved furbabies, and for me, the place and environment matter a lot. From the moment we arrived, it felt like home.We booked very last minute and were quite stressed, as we couldn’t secure anything until just a day prior. Deborah kindly accepted our booking and made everything absolutely perfect for us.Our group had different expectations, and this property met them all beautifully. I was looking for a serene, cozy space to relax, reset, and start the new year peacefully. My friends wanted a safe and comfortable environment for game nights and New Year celebrations without worry. My furbabies needed space to run, explore, and stay secure—and this place delivered on every front.Meeting the friendly horses was such a lovely experience, and the surroundings were simply beautiful.There was a small misunderstanding about the pool being open year-round, and Deborah handled it with complete understanding. She went above and beyond by offering sledding for our group of 10, which was incredibly thoughtful. We had an amazing day sledding down multiple hills while our furbabies safely enjoyed the space around us.This is by far one of the best places we have ever booked, and I would absolutely stay here again.Deborah, thank you for being such a wonderful host.

Amazing retreat an hour away from Toronto

Deborah's cottage is an exceptional retreat. Her proactive and detailed communication before our arrival ensured a seamless check-in. Despite residing in the adjacent wing, Deborah respected our privacy while remaining easily reachable for any needs via text. The well-decorated living space provided every amenity, creating a cozy and stress-free environment. A unique highlight was the on-site equestrian school, offering an enlightening horseback riding session. Erica, the knowledgeable instructor, shared her passion and expertise, making the experience enjoyable for riders of all levels. From the impeccable accommodations to the added charm of the equestrian school, Deborah's cottage surpassed our expectations. A perfect blend of comfort, communication, and unique experiences makes this retreat a hidden gem we look forward to revisiting. Highly recommended for a memorable getaway.
