Enjoy the City during day and/or night and then take a pleasant break from Manhattan lights by retiring to garden like, quiet and roomy setting that the 3000 square foot home provides.

The home is located in a prestigious and lively picturesque suburban neighborhood, where New York is just an easy 12 miles away. Public transportation to Manhattan (Train and Bus) is within walking distance. Location also offers convenient Automobile travels. It is a couple of blocks from Kean University, and within minutes of Newark Liberty Airport, Jersey Gardens, Prudential Center, NJPAC and the Meadowlands. Also, good for accommodating NJ DEVILS, NETS, NY Giants, JETS, Knicks,Yankees and Rangers fans.

The closest beach Coney Island Beach, and the nearest Jersey Shore area is about a 30 miles south.

Safe area and nice property

Fit my family of 7 fit without an issue. The decorations were a good fit for the age of the property. Safe neighborhood in close proximity to restaurants for family.

Comfort with charm!!!

This was my family’s second stay in this home. Even though each time we stayed, it was because of the passing of a love one. It was close to my sister’s in Irvington and East Orange. Everyone loves the location and the warmth of the home which was much needed. The owner has always been available when needed. We had a wonderful stay again! Can’t wait to see upgrades! Thank you!

Bitter Sweet Times with family

Our family gathered at this VRBO to mourn the loss of my brother-in-law. The spacious house, both inside and out, provided a comforting environment for us to connect. The host was responsive and helpful, though there was one unexpected visit that caused a bit of a surprise. House could use some new upgrades in the kitchen and showers. Overall, despite the few issues, we found comfort in this home and would gladly return in the future. Great location & quiet location.

Need up grades

Love the old style house, but need upgrades to furniture and needed to be dusted furniture was outdated and the shower in the master bedroom should not be in the center not every one wants there hair wet. Would I stay again maybe so

Terrible stay

The house was advertised with air conditioning but the AC did not work. The host made no effort to help alleviate the situation in the exceptional heat during our stay. He has refused to refund part of the rent even though he has acknowledged we have had a difficult time. He also waited to inform us about the broken AC until the day after we arrived although he knew days in advance. The house was worn from neglect and lack of maintenance. We had to wash the kitchen cupboards to get the grease off the handles. This is our first time using Vrbo and Colbyco properties but we advice to stay away from both and especially Colbyco properties.

Not what I expected

The house is drafty. Was not expecting to have to go buy toilet paper. The house is not stocked well. The main bathroom leaks into the basement. Poor maintenance. the shower in the Master Baath needs to be renovated.

Plenty of room and very comfortable!

We just got back from our NYC holiday vacation and this was the perfect accommodation. We had 4 adults and 5 kids in our group. There was plenty of room for everyone to sleep comfortably. The kids either hung out upstairs watching TV or played pool in the basement. The drive to the Newark train station was longer than 5 minutes for us, but taking the PATH was the best way into the city. We considered several other rentals before picking this one, but we were very pleased with this location. The house was extremely clean and we were greeted by a live, decorated Christmas tree with Christmas music playing on the stereo. Emin was always willing to offer information and advice. I would highly recommend this home and we will treasure the memories we made there.

Property has good space, but very dated, needs some repairs and updated furniture. The dryer didn't work, so that was a big issue for me. We always wash our clothes throughout our stay.

Vintage property

If you like antiques, this is the place for you. The neighborhood was quiet and the checkin easy. The wifi worked. The Resolution in the Loft TV was not clear but the other TVs worked. We ordered in from Golden Rice. The food was good and plentiful. Overall great experience.

What a Cluster

This home came with no working refrigerator! When alerted to the problem the manager at first denied that there was any issue. Then Mid conversation, admitted he knew that the fridge was non functioning! Asked if we could meet a repair person, at this person we had lost $300 in store bought groceries, and had already had to order out for every meal. We work nights, thus the need for this type of rental over hotel rooms, so we denied the repair person as it was a huge impact to our sleep schedules. All we asked was the $300 in groceries be refunded as a huge inconvenience amount other things to us. At this point he ignored all requests and wouldn't answer the phone or text messages sent. Such a little con artist and a skeesball. Truly a terrible representation of his company and this property. We knew it was New Jersey, but seriously worse than even we were expecting. Will not be staying again, as there are many other homes in the area. Disspointed is an understatement.

Good location and great management

We rent a lot of homes for our crew while working in various places. This home was very comfortable for each of our crew members to have their own space. It has a great location with easy access to the city. The managers of the home were the best. He went over and above to help us with our scheduling problems. We will definitely come back to this house if we are back in the New Jersey/New York area.

Conveniently located, clean, comfortable house. We enjoyed our stay while attending the PGA.

Owner was very responsive to two issues while we stayed at the house: 1) air conditioner unit went out, and he ensured that it was returned to operational status by the next day; and 2) we found that coffee maker didn't work on our first morning, and it had been replaced with a new unit by that afternoon. The house was comfortable and nicely furnished. The dishes and silverware seemed to come from several sets, which was inconsistent with the quality of the furnishings and of the house. We enjoyed having the pool table to use and some of the interesting books that were in the house. Owner provided excellent maps and information about restaurants, public transit, and the area to help guests enjoy their stay.

Horrible. Completely misrepresented.

DO NOT STAY HERE. Day 1 85 degrees IN THE HOUSE. Air barely works, had to buy 2 fans and three couples had to buy hotel rooms. Morning of Day 2 we realize fridge is not working. Never fixed during our stay. Morning of Day 3 window AC upstairs stops working. By this time we had given up... Furniture is shabby, along with pretty much everything else. Cushions worn torn and sunken in. We speculated they bought a foreclosure and furnished with garage sale scraps. Worst VRBO experience. They refunded less than half of the total.cost for the stay, and even with this it cost an additional $300 for the hotels, fans, and the fact we couldn't buy food (had to eat out every night and couldn't save leftovers). Did I mention DO NOT STAY HERE??

THE PLACE WAS GREAT!!! the 3 bedrooms on the main floor, the bed in the basement and the loft that has 3 beds....was more than enough space. I had a great time. Everything was right were I needed to be. Even though the central air was out for my vacation, I made due with it. Every room had a TV. I really loved the master bedroom bathroom. The shower was everything. I can't wait to go back.

My overall experience was I had so much fun. I turned 30 I got a way home there's definitely three bedrooms along there's a room in the basement and in the loft. I wish the central air was working but other than that I had a wonderful time. Can't wait until the next time

Beautiful fulls sized home in upscale quiet neighborhood.

House is perfect for groups of 4 or more. The grounds are well kept and house interior clean and decorated with various antiques which are quite interesting. I would recommend this property to all that have a need for a full size house.
