Relax and enjoy your time at this beautiful east end waterfront getaway.
This house is located right on the relaxing and exclusive Great South Bay. The experience will bring you the feel of tranquility everyone desires with vacationing out east. While offering all the enjoyments the island has at your fingertips. Centrally located to all island destinations - 90 minutes from Manhattan and 15 minutes to west Hampton. Visit world renowned winery’s on the north and south shores.

The house is a one level open floor plan. The entire house has just been totally renovated. European tile throughout the entire house. Brand new kitchen and appliances with granite tops including a granite center island with seating for six. Water views from every room and walk out to the deck footsteps from the water and your own private beach! The oversized deck is perfect for barbecue and watching epic sunsets and views of Fire Island!
Swim, kayak, fish, relax on your private beach. Water shoes recommended-

The open layout of the living area and kitchen provides plenty of room for entertainment. It has three bedrooms (two queen sized beds and one trundle bed that can be used as two singles or joined together as a king - It has two fully renovated bathrooms. Laundry room with new Bosch washer and dryer.

The private waterfront property allows for launching of kayaks (rentals available), fishing swimming or relaxing on private beach.

Neighborhood is peaceful and quiet on a dead end street. Its is on the southern Shirley peninsula which is surrounded by all sides of the Great South Bay.

Car will be necessary for most activities, but bicycling is a nice way to get around. Moreover, the Mastic/Shirley train station is located 6 miles north which makes guest commuting quite an easy one.

Very peaceful, the house had everything we needed and we comfortable and clean, but what was special was the outside deck and water… we all just sat outside on the deck just enjoying the peace and serenity of the location

Immaculate and very comfortable. A communicative and courteous host as well. Being 7m from the spectacular Smith Point beach and even more spectacular sunsets on the BBQ deck, it was a perfect stay.

Long weekend with the girls, great stay! We had a wonderful time and will return. Hosts Dorry and Steve are so wonderful and attentive. They met us at the property for a personal check-in, that is rare for vacation rentals. We felt at home immediately. Property is beyond clean and neat, beds very comfortable, kitchen well appointed. Location on the bay is perfect, deck and yard are great for relaxing and summer sun. Great location for traveling around LI.

We absolutely loved this little house! It was immaculately clean, well stocked and the location was AMAZING. The hosts were very gracious and extremely helpful throughout the entire stay. We will definitely be a return visitor!

Fabulous stay!

This house is amazing. We stayed for a week and loved every minute of it. Steve and Dorry were great and offered great recommendations regarding food, getting around and what to do. We loved coming home to the beautiful view and watching the sunsets. We will be back for sure. Thank you for a great stay!

Lovely spot, lovingly ready for us.

The location is quiet and beautiful. Steve and Dory are darlings and really know how to welcome guests. Everything was perfect and easy. They even had us set up with a rental bike company. We would stay again in a heartbeat.

Our family (ranging from 16 to 75) had an AMAZING stay at Steve and Dorry's home. We were greeted by them upon arrival and they set us up for a memorable stay. They were so accommodating and warm. The waterfront location is amazing. We spent many hours in the backyard: taking in the scenery, eating, lounging, stargazing. We took the 5 minute drive to Smith's Point Beach a # of times (18 per car in 2025) and enjoyed the waves, the ocean side tiki bar, ice cream and atmosphere. We also loved being able to run there, it took about 15 minutes! We have stayed in a # of rentals and rate this as A!!!

Great family get away

House was perfect for our family of 5, Mom and Dad with 3 toddlers. House was safe for the kids and they loved playing on the lawn and at the beach. We took day trips to the aquarium, LI game farm, and Smithpoint Beach. The breeze off of the bay was refreshing. Sunsets were amazing. House is well appointed. Landlords are very nice people.

Beautiful and Convenient

This is a beautiful house with a gorgeous view of sound. Sunsets are spectacular. The location was central to exploring Long Island. In a wonderful three day visit we explored Islip to Montauk and fit in a round of golf. Steve and Dorry were very accommodating even to our unexpected late arrival due to traffic. We plan to return next year. Fall was the perfect time for a unforgettable visit.

Great views from a beautiful beach house

This was our first VRBO rental and we really enjoyed it! Steve and Dorry were friendly, attentive hosts. The house was spotless and well equipped with basic essentials for our short stay. We felt completely at home and never wanted to leave the deck! Our stay would have been absolutely perfect if it hadn't rained both nights we were there. Nonetheless, I definitely recommend this beach house and hope to come back to enjoy the beautiful waterfront view again!

Amazing week right on the water!

We spent an amazing week at this property and really enjoyed it. You can't beat the beautiful view of the south bay and the incredible breeze off the water. We really enjoyed our morning coffee and meals on the deck, gazing out at the water. Our two teenage sons enjoyed kayaking in the bay and exploring the island (just a 15-20 minute kayak trip away). Many great restaurants are nearby, and Steve and Dorry's recommendations are spot-on. We were in town for two baseball showcases in Medford, and this was a convenient property for those early morning starts. The property was clean, and the kitchen had everything we needed. Thanks for a great week. We would definitely stay here again.

Sunset Cottage

We enjoyed beautiful sunsets. The backyard beach is very rocky, there is a public beach for swimming and playing in the sand about 5 minutes away. Our only complaint was we were constantly washing dishes or running the dishwasher. There was only dinnerware for 6 . Dory and Steve were very attentive.

Amazing view!

This house is spotless! Dorry and Steve go above and beyond to make your stay wonderful! We spent hours sitting on the deck, looking out at the water and enjoying the lovely breeze. Beautiful swans swam by and we even had a deer in the back yard. The house is equipped with all of the essentials. A lovely bottle of wine waiting for us and fresh bagels on the morning we left from a local bakery. Bellport is just a few miles down the road and it’s adorable. PORTERS on the lane was a fabulous restaurant and I would Highly recommend it. We were with our three adult children...celebrating graduations, and we made wonderful memories. We hope to make it back! Thank you Steve and Dorry!

Wedding Weekend on Long Island

6 women -- 5 of whom are senior citizens -- stayed in this quaint, well appointed cottage while attending a family wedding. The house is PERFECT for young & middle aged adults and families, but somewhat less so for senior citizens. Older backs (like ours) did not fare well on the trundle bed and high dining room stools. That said, the description of the cottage was COMPLETELY accurate. The trundle & stools were not a surprise; the back discomfort was unexpected. Tea and breakfast on the deck in the morning were awesome. The restaurant recommendations were excellent; dinner at Onofrios was superb. My family had a fabulous weekend and greatly enjoyed our stay in Shirley.

5 - Star Waterfront - Amazing!

My wife, son and brother recently stayed at this property while we were attending a family members wedding in the area. This property is absolutely gorgeous! The house was very clean and perfect for just relaxing and enjoying breathtaking sunsets every night. The property came loaded with everything you would need. Plenty of towels, wash clothes, kitchenware, etc. It also had plenty of comforts for the expansive outdoor area in the back, such as seating, fire pit, BBQ, shower, etc. The communication with the host(Steve and Dorry) was perfect. They are very attentive and communicate as well as any host I have worked with in the past. Most of all they are very nice and just overall great people. So if you are looking for an amazing place to kick your feet up, disconnect and just relax on a waterfront property, this is the spot! We will definitely be staying here again when we are in Long Island!

Beautiful Bayfront Cottage

We had a wonderful stay and Steve &Dory’s cottage. Beautiful views, sunsets and large deck for sitting outdoors. Clean house with complimentary bottle of wine! My children enjoyed the grass filled backyard for cartwheels and sports. Owners kindly allowed us to rent their kayaks to use in the bay. Went clamming across from Boyd island and caught a snapper. 2 minute drive to ocean beach and lots of nearby grocery stores and restaurants. Went hiking nearby and to the children’s farm. Wonderful stay so close to the city. We will definitely be back again!!!

Everything about the house and hosts were great.

The house was so clean, I didn’t feel the need to wipe down anything on my own (which I usually do). The furniture was super comfortable. The views were amazing. We watched the sunset every night over the water. The hosts were very respectful, greeting us (with a bottle of wine) and showing us around the house when we arrived and saying good bye when we left… of course wearing a mask for COVID protection. They checked in via text to see if we needed anything and to make sure we didn’t want the heat turned on. They were available to us if we needed them but not overbearing. Due to COVID we didn’t really do much in the area except go to the beach and to a local petting zoo. The house was nice enough to just relax there. There were a few outdoor toys for our toddler to play with which was nice. If you have a toddler, I’d just recommend bringing a booster seat for them to eat inside on. The table/counter is high. Overall, we were very pleased with our experience.
