Good stay

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were moved to this condo after our originally reserved condo was substandard. This was just right. Lots of space and comfortable beds. The location was good and offered everything needed. And the nightly frog symphony from the pond out back was amazing!

Decent Stay - Great Location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: With just a four-minute walk to the Whale’s Tale, this is a great location for folks who want to be by the beach. If coming for Topeka Music Festival, it’s about a ten-minute walk (it gets very dark on the walk back). Clean place with a slight musty smell. The furniture is in need of updating; I thought some upstairs lamps might tip over on me. You’ll find lamps and TVs unplugged upon arrival, which was a pain getting behind furniture to plug them back in. Remotes need to be labeled (there are so many). Great water pressure. New appliances. Very comfortable beds. Need more communication about rental- made reservation and then didn’t get further information until day of check-in, just a couple hours before reservation started (and I had to ask for it).

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It had a moldy smell when you walked in we put car air freshner to try and get smell to go away. The washer and dryer were small. took too long to dry anything. there is no view what so ever of the gulf. the location was ok had a good walk to get to beach. rooms were big and spacious. it was clean.

Not our best vacation spot

You should not book people in units that are under construction!! Large equipment everywhere, no parking, noise. We booked an extra day to sleep in, they were moving loud equipment at 7:30 and banging on our door at 8 am to move our vehicle and dropping stuff on the roof the rest of the morning. Also, there were roaches in our condo and the lady below us said she had the same problem. The ceiling fans were dirty and I understand it is pet friendly, but there was animal hair everywhere.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: As always, Seascape proved to be the best place for my family to spend our beach vacation. The condo was comfortable and convenient to the beach, restaurants, and shopping. Seascape's staff does an outstanding job of taking care of our needs and responding in a timely manner when contacted. This has been and remains our family's favorite place to stay going on fifteen years.

Reviewer Comments: Great locationGreat staff, William was very helpful!Been in 227 since 1/1/23 we have kept it clean.See previous months remarksNeighbors in 228 had 4 not very disciplined dogs. Neighbors in 226 had a dog left alone for extended periods which barked continuously.One request: Parking spaces such as the one in front of the sidewalk at LF127 should be marked for compact cars or golf carts only. When large long vehicles such as pickup trucks are parked in this type space the walkway becomes blocked. Sent an email with photo of truck blocking the walkway.

Reviewer Comments: You may recall nearly 1/2 of January we contended with no water in the kitchen due to a leaking faucet.FebruaryThe Good.Weather, great neighbors, community. Great staff, kind and helpful, particularly William. Told William about a broken stair tread at the Whales Tail bar (lower level)He immediately had it repaired.Also helped with viewing other potential, more up to date units.Maintenance bleach washed the outside entryway, really nice cleanining.Some needs:The tile floors were quite dirty as should have been noted in January. Tend to turn soles of feet black. Mr Clean and a mop resolved this.Unit is very dated, think set of the Golden Girls! Some musty odors we believe were coming from the kitchen sink cabinet as a result of January's leaking faucet.The shower diverter in the master bath is broken. You have to reach inside the spout and push up on it to get shower.Liners in both showers could use a replacement.Dryer belt is quite noisy.Still have broken blender and toaster missing knob.We have recommended Seascape to several friends & family. Just not LF127 and wishing LF227 was refreshed!

Mold on front door.bzalcony tile and table were filthy. Toilet tank leaked, front door closer bracket was broken. Went to Ace Hardware and bought a replacement bracket. Toilet tank fixed.The Bad: kitchen faucet leaked to lower unit #128. Shut off kitchen supply. Took 12 days to get fixed! Management and maintenance staff have been great!

Seascape LF227 10 Weeks

Reviewer Comments: We love the location at Stewart Lake.Unit meets our needs as a pet friendly winter home.Positives:New couch and chair.Kitchen well equipped.Views of golf, wildlife.Great for short or long walks.Concerns:Unit needed deep cleaning which we undertook.Dust on horizontal surfaces.Melted plastic in oven.Dirt, candy wrappers,nut shells and rodent feces under couch.Bath tissue holder broken upstairsNo shower liner upstairsWasher filter clogged created minor flood.Entry door was covered with mold.Main level toilet flush valve leaksLanai tile filthyUpstairs floor covering filthyRubber back rugs in bath smellFoam mattress pad in guest bedroom smells of deterioration. Decor very dated but acceptable.All in all after we performed some repairs and cleaning a great visit! We reserved again for 2023.

Lakeside Villa 227 1/2-3/15

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Unit 227 is a great location near the beach. The unit was not thoroughly cleaned. We spent a couple days deep cleaning. Dust on all horizontal surfaces shelves, entertainment centers, baseboard tops, etc. Rodengt droppings along with candy wrappers and nut shells under couch. Dust bunnies under beds and chairs. Tile floors were filthy especially on porch and upstairs bath. Found melted plastic in oven. Dryer vent may need cleaning as dryer is quite slow.Washer flooded first 2 times used. Discovered the washer filter was clogged with coins, a face mask and lint. New couch and recliner, nice!Foam mattress pad in 2nd bedroom is deteriorating and smells. No liner in upstairs shower, replaced it and shower rings. Glad the mop and bucket we left last year were still in closet.See you next New Years!

Not good

This condo has too many things wrong to list and is dirty. This condo is in desperate need of a deep cleaning, maintenance, and someone who cares to get it in renting condition. This condo should not be rented out until someone takes care of it. Photos on internet don’t show the need for cleaning and repairs. As soon as you open the front door, you smell the musty odors that proves it is in need of TLC.

Wonderful

We have always enjoyed Seascape. This rental was in a great location on the resort & just across the street from the beach. Kitchen was supplied with dishes galore! The only thing I would mention is that we were never able to watch the living room television as two of the remotes had battery issues. One’s batteries were corroded and didn’t work after we replaced. Another remote had no batteries but was also missing the cap/contact plate. Controls on the television itself wouldn’t change channels. BUT, we didn’t worry about it that much because we were at the beach and on rainy days, had our laptop. Perfect place, would definitely return and recommend.
