The Lodge was very clean and comfortable and the kitchen was fully equiped for cooking our own meals

The Lodge was very clean and comfortable and the kitchen was fully equiped for cooking our own meals. We appreciated the welcome tray of tea, coffee, hot chocolate and goodies etc. Phone signal not very good at the lodge but not a problem for us. Really enjoyed our stay and would definately go again. Thank you for a great holiday.

Lovely clean well equipped lodge, everything was provided and everything worked.

Lovely clean well equipped lodge, everything was provided and everything worked. The lodge was warm. Steep track down to the lodge park. The park itself needed a bit of a tidy up in places. Staithes and surrounding are area great. Recommend the Royal George for beer and food.

The lodge was lovely and clean.

The lodge was lovely and clean. It had everything you need for your holiday. Location is lovely and quiet. So peaceful. There is a bit of a hill from the lodge to the top of the village but it is set in a valley. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be returning. Had a amazing relaxing week set in a beautiful location

Great stay at Drake Cottage.

Great stay at Drake Cottage. We have been before and would highly recommend. The only thing is if you have limited mobility then the steep hill in and out of the site is very steep and challenging. Plenty of nice walks along the Cleveland Way and the bus stop on the main road is great to go to Whitby. Kim is a great host. If you want plenty of groceries then I would recommend calling at Aldi or ASDA on the way as the only shop nearby is Co-Op. Cosy lodge, lovely and peaceful.

Drake lodge is situated on a quiet caravan site 15 minutes walk from Staithes harbour.

Drake lodge is situated on a quiet caravan site 15 minutes walk from Staithes harbour. The hill out of the site might be challenging for some people The lodge itself is very tidy and comfortable for two people and a dog The owners had made the effort to place two Christmas trees in the property which was a nice touch My only niggle was the lack of glass tumblers in the property otherwise it was well equipped Staithes is lovely there are lots of walks three pubs serving food one of which overlooks the site so is a two minute walk up the hillA 5 minute drive towards Whitby The Ellerby pub hotel is situated this is truly outstanding and very dog friendly Overall an excellent stay

Everything was superb location quiet tranquil area lovely little fenced and gated garden area safe for children and dogs to be free chalet spotless very spacious inside lovely rooms plenty of space decor lovely double glazed shower large cubicle good water pressure spotless and clean good cooker kettle toaster microwave tv netflix etc everything you could wish for lots of space in private car park all gravel would highly recommend cannot fault it hosts were very helpful and attentive very peaceful location just superb

The lodge is very comfortable and more spacious than others we have stayed in. Well appointed and spotlessly clean. Outside area neat and tidy and not overlooked at all. A beautiful chalet for 2 in a quiet rural area within Staithes.

A beautiful chalet for 2 in a quiet rural area within Staithes. Good basic home comforts. Local pub and Co-op a short walk away, lower Staithes has several little shops, cafes and pubs. Steep hill from chalet up to village then again down to seafront. Loved our stay, everyone so friendly, Dotties cafe is a must - her scones are amazing! Look out for the craft room, the museum, and the Illusion trail when the tide is in. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo
