The four detached buildings that constitute the villa are perfectly laid out; their rooms offering ample space and privacy. The main residence is the largest of the four and directly faces the pool, gardens and rice fields. On the ground floor, the expansive dining room is dominated by a teak table seating 12, and serviced by an adjoining ultra modern, compact kitchen. Like everywhere in the villa, glass and teak sliding doors allow natural light to flow in, while maximising the idyllic views. Thrown open, cooling breezes can enter, while air conditioning and ceiling fans provide more controlled temperatures.

The neighbourhood

The villa is hidden away in the traditional village of Pererenan, near Canggu, a quiet out-of-town setting that offers the double attraction of being close to Canggu and relatively close to trendy Seminyak and everything that you might need, while also offering visitors a privileged insight into the traditions of rural Bali. Ducks are herded through the rice fields, the sound of ritual music is carried on the breeze, and religious ceremonies are an integral part of daily life. The rugged Canggu Beach (3km) is renowned for its panoramic coastline views, legendary sunsets and world-class surf breaks. For horse lovers, the family-run ‘Kuda’ stables is just 500 metres away from the villa, offering rides and tuition.

Getting around

If you're exploring the vicinity, you can still cycle safely. The beauty of Pererenan is that roads here have none of the traffic that you could find in Canggu or Seminyak.
