Caves in San Calogero

My accommodation is located in the San Calogero district, the oldest and most panoramic part of the historic center of Licata, very close to Castel Sant'Angelo, the rock church of San Calogero, the excavations of the ancient Finziade, just 800 meters from the beach by Marianello. And the accommodation hides a surprise: the ancient cave, the original nucleus of the houses in the area, on which the house was built. Extraordinarily quiet and cool relaxation corner, with any outside temperature: air conditioning is not needed even on the hottest days!
Located in a panoramic area (splendid view of the city and the sea) and at the same time a stone's throw from the main courses (built in the nineteenth century, with their beautiful buildings and the Liberty-style town hall to witness the elegance and richness of a not too distant past), it is located within the "Maltese quarters" of San Paolo, Santa Maria and San Calogero, the ancient heart of the city, rarely lapped by "tourist itineraries". Here time seems to have stopped and here you can discover the SIcilia of the past, living outdoors like the locals, which means eating, relaxing, chatting, cooking, reading, etc., all in front of the door.
The apartment is on the ground floor of a building on three levels: the two bedrooms on the first and second floors constitute an independent apartment (San Calogero Casa d'artista), with an independent entrance. The ground floor accommodation can accommodate up to 3 people, while the first and second floor accommodation can accommodate another 5 people. The two lodgings are completely independent, but, being very close, they are also suitable for hosting a single group of 8 people. The accommodation is characterized by two rock walls and a cave where the single bed is placed, together with a reading / relaxation space.
The furniture is a singular mix of 1950s modern antiques, recycled furniture and industrial furnishings. The house is equipped with everything necessary for housing and cooking, including a small portable barbecue. The space in front of the house, due to its shape, acts as a terrace-courtyard from which the guests of the apartment on the ground floor and first / second floor enjoy
