Perfect place to stay while visiting Long Island
We just returned from a week's stay in this upstairs apartment in Mangrove Bush and we loved it. While the location is not directly on water, two of the four bedrooms and the small front porch have water views. The apartment is clean, comfortable and so cute that my picky teenage daughter gave it a thumb's up.
While the kitchen is not full size, it was plenty for our vacation needs. I made breakfast and simple dinners most days and never felt that anything was lacking. The cafe downstairs was handy when we needed to grab a quick or an ice cream. Each room has a netflix ready t.v. and the wifi was the most robust of all our Out Island trips.
We LOVED the central location, making trips to either end of Long Island very easy. Great beaches, including Dean's Blue Hole, and Galloway Beach are very close. A small grocery and liquor store is withing a quarter mile down the road, and other provisions are a short drive to Clarence Town, or Salt Pond.
Cathy is a fantastic host and will make sure your stay is comfortable and fun. If you have the opportunity, definitely ask about hiring her husband, Captain Francis through Sun Adventure Boat Tours for a day out on the beautiful water. It was an absolutely amazing experience with some of the most beautiful water we have ever seen.
We are already making plans to go back.
