JULY UPDATE - LONG OR SHORT TERM RENTAL AVAILABLE FOR THOSE REBUILDING IN OUR BEAUTIFUL TX HILL COUNTRY. House and cabin are available rented separately or together. Please inquire about special monthly rates.

Charming 2 bedroom / 2 bath house and one bedroom / one bath cabin on the North Fork Guadalupe river. Each bedroom has a queen bed and with both accommodations can sleep a total of six. This property features outstanding views from both the house and the cabin facing incredible bluffs and the sparkling Guadalupe river. Enjoy incomparable riverfront which accommodates relaxing tubing, fishing (catch and release only), swimming, kayaking, sunbathing or simply floating in clear deep water just a few short miles from the headwaters. You and your family can enjoy amazing bird watching from either front porch (just wait until you see the kingfishers and painted buntings!), as well as fun outdoor dining with picnic tables and grills at the house and the river. Enjoy evenings at the river with tons of joyous FIREFLIES!

You must come experience this unbelievably relaxing getaway and this hill country escape will become your number one return vacation paradise for years to come! Important to note, as opposed to most rental properties in Hunt, you will have the entire "compound" to yourself as the cabin and the house are never rented separately. So, if it's a serene private getaway for you and your family, this is the perfect answer key. And as evidenced by the photos, you can see the clarity and continuous gentle flow of the river which is unique to this piece of riverfront.

Although most of your time you will want to spend enjoying the beautiful riverfront, the main house does have a smart tv in each room with streaming service availability. The cabin has a small Roku tv with all streaming capability as well. The main kitchen is fully stocked with cookware and a Keurig. There is a crock pot available as well as some spices. For the cold season, a charming wood burning stove is in the main living room.

Although WIFI is available in the house, please be cognizant that out here in the TX hill country, you won't get the same speed as your city access. This home away caters to those wanting to "unplug" and enjoy the river and serenity of amazing Hunt, TX!

***Note, although all part of the same property, the riverfront is across the farm to market road, a short stroll from the house and cabin***

Dana and Bruce were great! The property was as described, we absolutely loved the location and spent the entire time on the river. Water level was great and very quite which was fabulous!! We loved watching the birds the house had everything you would ever need!! We are already booked for another stay!

As always, Dana is an excellent host! Our family has enjoyed her home for 4 summers and it's always wonderful to get away to such a beautiful and peaceful location. Relax on the river

We were welcomed in the house by soothing music and fresh flowers. It immediately makes you take a deep relaxing breath. The property is lovely, with a charming house and cottage. The riverfront is stunningly beautiful. It has everything you need. Sat on the front porch and watched the fireflies in the evening. It doesn’t get much better.

I took my wife on a vacation to celebrate her turning 50. Dana (hostess extraordinare) went Above and beyond. From birthday cake to mimosas by the river! This was our 5th year in a row. Yep FIVE. There aren’t enough words to convey how much we love coming here. It’s just perfect! The home has everything needed and the riverfront is stunning. Best Vacation Spot 2 Years in a Row!!!!

This was our second year in a row visiting Dana's home and hopefully will not be the last. Dana is wonderful on so many levels! The property is absolutely gorgeous, relaxing, and is perfect for retreating from the city. Her little gem on the river is certainly something to envy. Absolutely BREATHTAKING!!!! The property is absolutely serene bliss. The house and cabin are spacious and stocked with everything we could have needed. We enjoyed the front porch and the river access the most. Beautiful, relaxing property by the river

We had a wonderful time with friends. The Guadalupe river is just across the road from the house and was perfect for relaxing and enjoying some floating time on the water. During the hot afternoon, we enjoyed playing cards in the house. The kitchen was well stocked with supplies to prepare meals. Dana was a gracious host!

Perfect Guadalupe retreat

This is the perfect Guadalupe retreat. Private waterfront access to a premier section of river with a deep swimming hole, cliffs, paddle boat, and dam / water park. The house, cabin and overall accommodations are clearly well loved and cared for, and the level of thoughtfulness to their guests are above and beyond. Unlike most rental properties, this place is fully stocked with lots of extra touches. Highly highly recommend!

Great Place to Relax!

We picked up our kids at camp and spent weekend here. The place is excellent, very comfortable & clean. Great private river access and a wonderful waterfront area. Another lovely visit

This was my family’s second visit to Dana’s property and we brought along some friends this time. It is SO wonderful!! We all enjoyed the beautiful scenery and had a fantastic time swimming, floating, and paddle boating around all day. The house and cabin again had everything we needed for a great stay and they were both super cozy and clean. I can’t wait to come back again to this special place.

Great location, cozy house

Amazing location by the Guadalupe River (flowing by some very pretty cliffs). We enjoyed trips to several nearby state parks and reserves (all 45-60 minute drive), Kerrville, and Fredericksburg. Communication with the owner was easy and the house was clean, cozy, and welcoming.

Great Location & Accomodations

The main house and cabin provided three bedrooms and three bathrooms, which were perfect for three couples to spend the weekend. The private river access was amazing and we spent most of our days and evenings on the bank. Our three couples have met for a weekend in October for 10 years; this was the first VRBO location to which our group said they would like to return.

As a former Waldemar camper, I knew as of the age of thirteen that Hunt, TX is where I would land. We are very blessed to have the most beautiful spot on the North Fork Guadalupe and nothing brings us more joy than to share it with other families and couples.

The best deep and clear river access in Hunt! Unlike the South Fork, this part of the North Fork Guadalupe is crystal clear. Fantastic fishing (catch and release), swimming, and floating.
