2 BEDROOM 2 BATH DIRECT GULF VIEW CONDO - SLEEPS 6

WELCOME TO ISLAND WINDS WEST #373. Thank you for taking your time to take a look around!!

New leather living area furniture added on 3/28/23. The sofa has a queen size memory gel mattress. Also, added on 3/25/23 were new King and Queen mattresses.

We strive very hard to keep this unit upgraded. We change out the living area furniture and mattresses every three to four years.
The property has hurricane proof floor to ceiling windows! This makes for a spectacular view and is great for dolphin watching!!

Our mission statement is simple... To provide a home away from home experience for each guest that is fun, safe, clean and affordable. We strive hard to meet your expectations of this mission statement.

The kitchen includes stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. The living area has a queen size sofa sleeper that offers a memory gel mattress. There is, also, a loveseat available with extra seating and a 50" flat screen TV to watch all of your favorite movies and sports. The inviting front bedroom offers a queen sleigh bed with a new mattress and box spring. The front bath has been updated to include granite countertops as well. The master bedroom has stunning views of the gulf offering a new king size panel bed with a new mattress and box spring and a flat screen TV wall mounted at the foot of the bed. The master bath was updated to include a tile shower with a glass door. It, also, has granite countertops. Let the gulf winds blow as you relax and sit at the high top table and chairs located on the balcony where you mostly likely will see dolphins feeding and frolicking up and down the beach.

This condo is conveniently located on the 3rd floor of Island Winds West with a SPECTACULAR, DIRECT view of the Gulf of Mexico. There are two elevators at this property making it convenient to get all of your belongings to the beach a breeze!! If you prefer, you may sit and relax by the pool. There is a covered area by the pool if you wish to read a book or two. The smaller children can splash in the kiddie pool. There is a fitness room located on the 1st floor. Island Winds West is in the heart of Gulf Shores offering many amenities including close proximity to many restaurants that will soon become some of your favorites. Just to name a few, there is, The Hangout, Bahama Bob's, Desoto's Seafood Kitchen, and Billy's By The Beach.

We are certain that you will find adventure, fun and relaxation while visiting Gulf Shores, Alabama. There are many, many things to see and do in Gulf Shores. Some of these activities include:

Property was ideal for many reasons. It was a nice location, close to beach, and walking distance to many places, including shops and restaurants. Only issues were we think it could have been a little cleaner in the kitchen and some minor maintenance (slow drain in main bathroom and a couple of lights were burned out). Outside of these the unit was very nice and comfortable. We were there for a week and enjoyed our time there.

After receiving your text, we contacted our maintenance person, and he went right away to take care of the slow drain in the main bathroom and replace the lights bulbs as well. I will contact the cleaning company and make them aware of the kitchen area! Thank you so much for bringing these items to our attention! Conveniently located where everything we wanted to go to was walking distance. The beach view was great! The Pool, our kids really enjoyed. Communication with the host was top tier. Highly recomend.

I may be a little picky as I’ve stayed in many Vrbo‘s and simple things that make life easier when you’re traveling and do not want to purchase would go a long way. For instance, detergent, especially if you’re staying for multiple days and extra toilet paper and even maybe a cheap cooler that stays with the property . The worst part was on the last day. We were supposed to check out by 10 and the door locked on us at 9:40 thank God my wife was still inside otherwise we would have missed our plane. Some of the great things about this property was the location was amazing easy walk to the beach and restaurants

Thank you so much for taking your time to leave a review and recommendations. We will definitely look into the detergent recommendation. We had not considered it in the past due to so many adults and children having allergic reactions to certain detergents. However, it would be nice to have an option to be able to use it or not and thank you for that. I did check with our cleaning company to be sure she is leaving extra toilet tissue as she and I have discussed. We are not sure what you mean by extra; she did confirm that she is leaving two or more per bathroom. We are not sure what happened with your code. The access code is generated using a web-based interface. We checked back and your code was not set to expire until noon on the day of your check out. In a situation such as this, we include our cell phone number in your check in information, and we are a phone call away and can easily give you a code to reenter within 5 minutes or less and that would have definitely kept you from missing your flight. Thank you again for choosing Island Winds West!

Excellent!! Highly recommend. Would stay again. Location is fantastic. Walkable to many restaurants and shops. There are 3 good umbrellas for the beach, a beach wagon, we donated 1 boogie board, and there are lots of sand toys with 1 bucket. And a couple of small inflatable rafts. View is breathtaking and took us 2.5 minutes to walk from our door to the beach.

Lights in bathrooms had burnt out bulbs. There were crumbs on the kitchen floor and counters upon arrival. Refrigerator and stove were dirty. Microwave was missing filter and light above range top did not work. View was great. Location was perfect..

Thank you so very much for bringing these issues to our attention! I did change all the bathroom bulbs when we did the deep cleaning in March; but they can burn out overnight. I have placed a call to our cleaning company to address some of the other issues. We will definitely get the filter in the microwave changed and the light above the range replaced. We loved this condo and the hosts. The pictures and descriptions were spot on and as advertised. Everything from the initial communication to the check-in was flawless. We needed a break from the business of life, and we could not have asked for a better experience. If you’re looking for a clean condo with great views, this is a gem!
