Castel Menardo, the Hermitage of St. Onofrio, and the Abbey of St. Liberatore a Majella can be explored by visiting the nearby village of Serramonacesca.

Another must-see natural destination, famous throughout Italy, is the splendid Orfento Valley, a canyon nestled in the heart of the Majella National Park.

It’s extremely easy to reach the Blockhaus at an elevation of 2,000 meters above sea level comfortably by car, from where you can admire a sweeping view of Abruzzo and over 200 km of the Adriatic coastline.
