The surroundings:
Located in the historic center of Lisbon (Mouraria), near the Castle of São Jorge, in downtown city. 5 minutes from Rossio Square and 10 minutes from the famous Praça do Comércio. Well served by public transport (Metro, Bus, Train, Tram).

About 1km from the Bairro Alto area of bars and restaurants, a picturesque old neighborhood in central Lisbon.

Activities and attractions:
Can visit the historical places of Lisbon as Rossio, Baixa, Chiado, Castelo de São Jorge, Ruins of the Carmo Convent, the Fado Museum, Fashion Museum, the Cathedral (building prior to the conquest of Lisbon in 1147), Church Santo António, the Chapel Nossa Senhora da Saúde, etc ...

Perfect for a city break

We wanted a place in the old town to experience the local culture rather than being in a hotel full of tourists, and this beautiful but small apartment was just perfect for our trip, very clean and tidy and had everything we needed, only a small walk from the metro which was good as we travelled from airport by train which was roughly about 40 mins, The local area is a bit run down which we was expecting but only added to the authenticity of old Lisbon, the main tourist areas are within a 10 min walk or just jump on trams,buses,train and you can buy a travel ticket which you can top up and use on all transportation, there is a lovely vegan restaurant under the apartment which serves some of the finest food, especially the portobello burger which was so tasty and lovely local organic wines, definitely worth a visit, we went to belem which was lovely also took a train to sintra too. So overall we had a lovely stay. The only thing I would say is if your of the big size you will not fit in the shower or the toilet as it's very small and tight. Also we ventured into an area to the right of apartment looking for a restaurant we found on Google and found ourselves walking up a street that was not nice and my wife was frightened as there was a lot of immigrant men standing around, staring at us and we soon realised we was in the wrong part of town and quickly made our way back to rossio where it is much better, but this has nothing to do with the apartment just thought I would give other travellers a head's up. Like every other city Lisbon also has it's good areas and it's bad ones too, so don't go right at Martim moniz. Other then that we had a pleasant stay so thank Manuel.

Wonderful visit to Lisbon

Beautiful flat in a lovely city. Local restaurants were great including the one in the square overlooked by the flat and others up towards the castle. Will hopefully return soon.

Très bien

Appartement parfaitement situé pour visiter Lisbonne et propre. Proche du métro, du tram 28E, du centre ville et des commerces. La salle de bain et la cuisine sont petites. Nous ne mangions pas dans l'appartement sauf pour les PDJ. Manuel est très gentil, souriant et saura vous donner des bons conseils. Nous y avons séjourné 7 nuits avec un petit garçon de 9 ans. Lisbonne est une ville fantastique.

Well appointed apartment in a lively square.

My sister and I spent one week at this apartment and we both agreed that we wouldnt have wanted to stay anywhere else. We found that it was central to everything, with easy walks to public transit, and set back in a lively square. Wednesday afternoon the square came alive with the sounds of laughter, and music, and the bustling background noises of restaurants preparing for dinner. We had a perfect view of the setting sun behind the buildings while we sat in the balcony window and snacked on wine and cheese every evening. Afterwards we sampled as many of the neighborhood restaurants as we could, finding them all delicious and a much better choice than the larger establishments in main streets. Our favorites were Bruta Flor, The Food Temple, Jasmin, and Maria de Mouraria (whose grill sent the most delightful smells of roasting meat and fish through our windows nightly!) Manuel was a very kind and informative host, and everything he recommended exceeded our expectations. If you're looking for a place where you can feel at home during your stay in Lisbon, I cant think of a better place!

saubere, kleine Wohnung in bester Lage

Wir haben uns in der Wohnung und in diesem Stadtviertel sehr wohl gefühlt. Dass die Wohnung über einer kleinen Bar liegt, hat uns auch sehr gut gefallen. So haben wir unseren Aperitiv am Abend schon dort genießen können.

Manuel, nous a accueilli avec beaucoup de gentillesse, malgré l'heure tardive de notre arrivée. Je recommande cet appartement très bien placé , proche du Rossio et à 20 minutes à pieds de la place du commerce. Le restaurant situé en dessous de l'appartement apporte un peu de vie dans cette impasse tranquille. Très bon séjour, à tous ceux qui iront passé quelques jours dans cette très agréable ville de Lisbonne.

Great small, cozy studio at perfect location

We had a great time in Lisbon, stayed one week in a small and very clean apartment Casa Da Severa. Perfectly made for two people, it's located in the central part of Lisbon (Mouraria old town), very close to a metro and pedestrian zone (strict center, Commercio Sq., Alfama etc.). The neighborhood is very charming and lively, with small bars and restaurants but still calm enough during the night. Manuel is very nice host, friendly and helpful. See you again, greetings from Serbia Danijela and Srdjan :)
