We could not have asked for a better experience. The villa had everything we needed, and the host went out of their way to ensure my daughter had access to a blanket for the cooler nights.

Beautiful villa, excellent stay, no faults at all!Local dinning walkable from the villa, spar at the top of the road. Uber taxis to marina was eur3.00, albuferia eur5.00. Already planning my next trip back.

The villa is really clean and spacious and well-equipped. The outside area is just lovely. The pool is a good size, and the pool and table tennis tables provide great entertainment. The Communication from our hosts was excellent, and the local house manager was very welcoming. We had to call on her once during our stay and she responded immediately.There isn't a lot to do in the immediate vicinity, but there is a Spar within easy walking distance and a lovely Italian restaurant just a few hundred metres away. However, there are plenty of Uber's in the area which always arrived within a few minutes and were not expensive. Overall, a wonderful holiday.

Excellent location for shops, bars and beaches. Great pool and plenty of outside space with the added brilliant bonus of a table tennis and pool table.

Fabulous time spent with family at villa, pool was great, outdoor area lovely with sunset views & location perfect for exploring. Walking distance to beaches and highly recommend the Italian a stones throw away! Kids mentioned it was their favourite holiday fantastic communication from hosts and house manager, Thank you!

Villa stay

We have just returned from a fantastic holiday at your villa. We couldn't fault it, absolutely lovely villa in a great area. Any issues we had were dealt with immediately and the service was excellent. Would highly recommend this villa and would love to stay again soon.

Holiday in Albufeira

The Villa was excellent and very clean, communication with the owner was also very good. The family loved the time in the pool and also spent hours on the table tennis and pool table. We will look to sray again.

Had a great time at Casa Barboletas, great space indoor and especially outdoor. Quiet location with all you need within walking distance, shops and restaurants both an easy 4min walk. 10mins to both Albufeira Old Town, and to Armacao da Pera, Guia only 5mins drive, Uber always within 5mins and very reasonable to get about, jncludibg waterparks. Comfortable beds, good bathrooma nd kitchen facilities, Large clean pool, and the pool and table tennis are great additions for all. Would highly recommend

Lovely property

Lovely property and area, great pool, table tennis and pool table! Only down side was the busy road that was at the front of the house, just a bit more noise from that than we wanted but tolerable. Pictures on the site need updating as there is no longer a bath, showers in both bathrooms only.

Fabulous Family Location!!

We have just arrived back from a truly fantastic stay in this property. The villa and its location had been highly recommended to us but the reality surpassed all of our expectations!!! The whole place was immaculate, private, quiet, true to the photos, excellently equipped, perfectly located and had a fabulous perspective for the morning and evening sun!!! We hired a car and felt this was important for exploring the beauty of the whole area. Excellent location for access to beaches, old town and local attractions. Despite the quieter area we found some fantastic restaurants in the immediate vicinity and they were excellent quality and perfect for all the family. 5 star holiday. ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The villa was as described on the listing but it would have been helpful to if it said that the pool was not heated. Also, adding that it can be heated with five days notice required. Which we didn’t find our until we got there and enquired . Other than that the whole family enjoyed the Villa and it’s surroundings very much .

Excellent!

The house is very well equipped with everything you could need and more. The outdoor seating area is great and the pool is clean and well looked after. Although the property is close to a quiet road, it still feels very private due to the elevated position. The pool table and table tennis kept our boys amused for hours. The location to Galé beach (our favourite) is less than 5 minutes in the car or a 30 minute walk. The local restaurant is very good and there is a local Portuguese supermarket just a 5 minute walk away as well as a Spar even nearer. All in all we’d thoroughly recommend and would return in a heart beat!

Villa was tired and needs updating

There were some lovely features about this villa, however they are all starting to fade and need better upkeep. We were unable to open any doors or windows throughout our stay due to the amount of flies. There were ants in the kitchen, all over the units. The welcome book says they have a problem with ants and to deal with this by buying ant powder. We felt that by them telling us there was a problem, they should be fully dealing with it. Not requesting that guests should try and sort it out while they are supposed to be enjoying their holiday. The pool table and table tennis were very jaded and had been there a long time. The sofas in the living room were uncomfortable and there were only 5 English TV channels to access. The pool area was lovely and relaxing. The grounds were well kept. Unfortunately, due to all the other issues I could not recommend this villa to others unless the problems listed were rectified. It is such a shame, as this villa has so much potential.

Sorry to hear you felt this way... we have always had great reviews and certainly never any complaints about the flies/ants. In saying that, this is not uncommon in warmer climes and summer outdoors/patio living. Regular pest control is done at the villa for general maintenance. The villa is a charming Portuguese style - cozy and comfortable interiors with a great outdoor living space perfect for enjoying the sunshine, pretty much as per the pictures on the website! However, we thank you for your feedback and also are happy to advise that we do have some changes planned for after the end of the season. We take this opportunity to wish you and the family the very best...

Fantastic Holiday

Casa Das Boboletas is a lovely family villa and we found it to be exactly as described in the listing. It is situated in a convenient and pleasant area with shops and restaurants in easy walking distance, and with the local beach also easily walkable. There is car parking off the street. Both the inside and outside of the property are lovely. It is surrounded by a grass lawn and to the front a large paved terrace. The pool is first class and there are multiple sun loungers and seats. This year, a new rattan seating area and table have been added, this making a lovely area for sitting in the evening. The pool table and other play equipment were popular with the teenagers. Inside, the kitchen and living room are plenty large enough and clean and pleasant. The bedrooms have efficient air conditioning which was much needed in August during our stay. The liaison and communication between the owners was excellent and the local manager, Linda, speaks excellent English and Portuguese. She was on hand to welcome us and deal with any queries. Further afield, the property is about 10 minutes’ drive from Albuferia should you be tempted to visit - personally, we went the other way and used Gale, the more local and much quieter area. It is a reasonably upmarket area with none of the horrors of downtown Albuferia in evidence. I would recommend hiring a car if you want to travel around - although Uber covers the area as well. In summary - really excellent.

Perfeito para descansar com a família.

A casa está bem localizada para quem necessita de tranquilidade e descanso com a família. Longe da confusão (mas não muito longe) e com o necessário perto (supermercado, restaurantes e belas praias). A casa tem espaço e diversão suficientes para não se ficar aborrecido. Tem uma boa piscina e muito sol o dia todo. Recomenda-se.

We had a wonderful month at Casa Borboletas. The house was large and had a homely traditional vibe with everything you would need for a comfortable stay. The outside area was incredible and on an elevated position which gave you a sense of privacy. The choice of bars and restaurants within the residential area of the villa was ample - if you fancied an evening stroll for food. Our favourite was the Por do Sol which was friendly; good value and home Portguese style cooking. If you wanted to treat yourself to something slightly special, there was the Market Kitchen at the W (Marriott Hotel) or the Castelo Beach Club. Edilia and her son were so kind and helpful and could not do enough to ensure our long stay was memorable. What we enjoyed was that although the villa was in a quiet residential area with those few friendly bars and restaurants, you could very easily catch a reasonably priced Uber and within 10 mins you could be in the livelier centre of Albufeira. In fact, we used Ubers all the time rather than rent a car. On most evenings we would go to Pedras Amarelas on Gale Beach for a sundowner. The bar is a little pricier than some, but the sunset is exquisite and Johnny the 'Captain' was a brilliant host, keeping the vibe going every night. On the other hand, we would also like to go to the local Sports' Bar to watch the football for a very reasonably priced drink and Chris, the manager, was so friendly - as were everyone else that we met! Loule Market was fabulous!

Best villa we have stayed at in the Algarve.

We have been to the Algarve in September for the past 8 years. We have always gone to a villa, and always in this area. The location, inside space, outside space, and general facilities was great. This is by far the best we have rented. This is the first time we didn't hire a car. Turned out that that was a good decision. Restaurants, bars, supermarkets are within easy walking distance. And there are some cracking restaurants. We used Uber a couple of times and they were brilliant. The space around the house and pool was bigger than we have had. Always plenty of sunny areas, a bits of shade if needed. Couldn't fault it. We had a great time and hope to go back again. Last, the owners were brilliant with us. We got messed up several times by BA. The owners could not have been more supportive or cooperative. Thanks to them.
