Francesco was amazing. Very nice host that made our stay wonderful. Great location and a large charming apt. Francesco went out of his way to make everything perfect and also helped us through some challenges with the booking, and was compassionate and generous with all his efforts. Great property; large rooms; superb location. Was glad we ditched the rental car as we did not need it for city and parking is non existent. Highly recommend this spot if you are visiting Bari! Cheers, JK from Toronto

Casa DEI Nonni Comodo was very clean and spacious. The house is on the edge of the old town with a great wine bar downstairs. The view of the sea is amazing. Valentina was very helpful in guiding us to the house and met us at check in.

Kitchen was well equipped. Beds and bathrooms equipped and comfortable bedding and mattresses. Outstanding location. Outstanding views. Parking always a challenge but doable. Spacious! Would DEFINITELY stay again only longer.

The apartment is spacious, clean and well appointed. The views are beautiful and the location is a short walk to old town center. The host was friendly and VERY helpful. We highly recommend this property.

This was our first of three stops in Puglia and an excellent choice. Location was perfect to explore Bari, walking distance to everything, including the central train station where we easily rented a car when we left Bari. Apartment was as described, no issues.

This apartment is beautiful and obviously well loved by the owner. It was very spacious, extremely clean and in a wonderful location, with a very nice view of the sea. It is quite nicely furnished and decorated. The only thing that I did not realize from the listing is that the entire apartment is not air conditioned. It is two of the bedrooms and the large beautiful living room that are air conditioned. The other twin bedroom does have a large floor fan. Our two granddaughters decided to share the air conditioned twin bedroom because it was extremely hot while we were in Bari. Other than that everything was perfect! If we are able to visit Bari again we would definitely like to rent this apartment again!Francesco and Valentina we delightful to work with. The communication before and during our stay was great; they were very helpful and quick to respond to any questions that we had! We really hope to return!!

Positives: Lovely seaview from 3 rooms, spacious apartment, location is close to all the Bari has to offer. Negatives: Some things need to be more clearly stated in the description:1. Air conditioning is only available in certain rooms. 2. One small towel pack is provided per person. If more towels are needed, you will need to wash and line dry them or pay 30 for additional towels. 3. 4 rolls of toilet tissue was provided for 5 people. We stayed for a week, and we found this insufficient. 4. The area is a bit noisy at times. One night, A DJ played loud music at the restaurant downstairs.

Great stay in spacious apartment

My friends and I had a great stay in this spacious apartment in Bari. The location of the apartment was perfect. Bars nearby and close to the old city and the beach. The view of the sea from the balcony was amazing!

Francesco and Valentina were wonderfully responsive and communication with both of them was excellent. We really appreciated how easy it was to reach them before our stay and during.The only significant challenge with our stay--and maybe it's already been addressed in an updated property description--was that the apartment is not fully air conditioned; only two of the three bedrooms has air con. This was a problem in the third bedroom, especially since our stay was at the end of July, a very hot time of year. There was a standing fan available for the non-air con bedroom. Two bedrooms and the living room have air con. The third bedroom, entry salon and kitchen do not.As terrific hosts, Francesco and Valentina quickly responded positively to our request for a second fan to help in the non-air con bedroom. They delivered the second fan within a couple of hours of our request and it helped enormously. Thank you!The apartment itself is well situated across the street from the sea, a few floors above restaurants and bars (we had no issues whatsoever with noise). The bedrooms are large, very comfortable and simple. The hosts had some treats ready for us in the well-appointed kitchen, which was very thoughtful. Washing machine a plus. The lift/elevator was perfect to reach the second floor apartment.We would certainly recommend staying here, after clarifying the air con situation if visiting during summer. A big thank you to Francesco and Valentina for an enjoyable stay in Bari.

Perfect family spot for our Bari visit

The apartment was lovely and comfortable and conveniently located. No complaints! Check in process could not have been easier and we were met upon arrival even though our plane was significantly delayed. Plenty of space, well maintained and clean! Thank you!

Fantastic apartment with beautiful views

Two of the three bedrooms have balconies overlooking the sea. The apartment is very clean with well appointed bathrooms and kitchen. There is also a washing machine.

Friends and Family

Traveling with friends. This place was perfect. It was nice enough that we wanted to buy it but it’s not for sale. The fact that it belong to the grandfather makes it even more special to be in a family home location was perfect. The restaurants were right below our balcony, thank you again for a perfect stay

Beautiful view, lovely apartment

We had a lovely stay at this beautiful apartment in Bari. Francesco and Valentina were great to interact with and were quick to respond to messages. If we had one critique, it would be to have a second double bed in the room with the ocean view versus the twin beds. Outside of that, it was clean, well appointed, convenient to many areas, and the views were stunning! Grazie mille, Francesco!

Nona’s House

Great spacious apartment. AC worked very well. Location was ideal with lovely view of the sea. Downstairs is a cafe that is open most of the day and night for a quick bite, coffee or cocktail with a sea view. Great restaurants in the neighborhood as well; we recommend Le Due Aquile. Owner was gracious and flexible with our arrival and checkout time. We would most definitely stay here again. The space lived up to its name; it felt like a warm hug from Nona. Thank you again! :)

Bellissima

What an amazing apartment and location. My friends and I met up in Bari for a week long stay. The building is directly across from the ocean. I took walks every morning before embarking to all of the amazing towns nearby. Also, so convenient to walk to restaurants and shopping. We spent a few days enjoying Bari and our apartment. Very spacious apartment, well equipped kitchen, laundry and comfortable.Francesco was always responsive to emails and very helpful and kind.Also, there is an elevator for easy baggage lift.I say… stay here! My husband & I had a fabulous time, we loved the apartment, it was so much better than what we had expected, everything you could want is so close & the list of information & recommendations that Francesca & Paola leave for you is so helpful. We loved sitting on the balcony over looking the ocean & soaking up the view & atmosphere below. Paola & her father greeted us & helped us into the apartment & explained everything. Wonderful classic style apartment with a seaview

We loved staying at the apartment. It was beautiful, spacious and had everything we needed. Paola did a wonderful job explaining where everything was and how all the appliances worked. The teenagers who usually like to lock themselves in bedrooms took a liking to the living room, and spent a lot of time there, which they called “The drawing room” just like in a period drama. They appreciated the grandeur of it and the view. We loved the location which apart from the sea view was walking distance to restaurants and shops and old Bari. We are partly Italian, so we recognised some of the Nonni lifestyle, especially in the kitchen. Thank you we had a wonderful stay in Bari.

Exactly what we hoped for, and more!

We were fortunate to spend a wonderful 18 nights at “A Casa dei Nonni” in September/October 2024. Aside from all the great amenities we found it just a special space to spend time in. It is spacious and bright with beautiful views of the sea. It truly felt like a home away from home for us and we would go back in a heartbeat. We miss it already. The immediate area is so vibrant with lots of activity, kids taking sailing lessons, people out walking along the sea or enjoying the bar and restaurant below. Both the building and the area felt very safe at all times. We were even treated to fireworks several nights which we could watch from the balcony window. It is a great location for exploring the Murat and a comfortable walking distance to Old Bari or to the train station. We were able to use it as a home base and took numerous day trips on the train to small towns up and down the coast. This was our first visit to the Puglia region and we fell in love with the area, the food and the people. Being able to stay in this apartment added greatly to the success of our trip. Staying there was an experience in itself. Thank you Francesco for sharing it with us.
