This beautiful converted former stables and former armagnac distillery with amazing views ,sleeps up to 6 people. ( 4 comfortably / 2 extra people via rhe sofabed in lounge area) Sitting in an elevated position facing south over looking the beautiful rolling hills of the department know as the Gers bordering Lot et Garonne & Landes. La Platte and shared pool is set in 2 hectors of park land backing onto the regional national park of the Gers. Market towns of Gabarret, Eauze, Mezin and Condom are within easy reach. Enjoy good food, fine wine and Armagnac. Book both our gites together and receive 10% discount. 2 bedooms - 1st Bedroom with king size bed & ensuite // 2nd bedroom with 2 singles & adjacent shower room // large open plan lounge & 2 lovely terraces …
Shared pool & 2 hectres of garden.
No parties ( or loud music / fireworks ).

Owners have a friendly dog ( in a fenced garden) and 2 friendly cats ( who are free to roam the gardens) Clients are advised to keep their doors closed if they do not wish to be visited by the cats …
Pool is alarmed but no gate/ fence, large glass internal and external doors ( therefore may not be suitable for young children) and consequently we ask that children are supervised at all times…
Pool is shared with our second Gîte located next door and Discreet owners live on site. House rules are located in the gite and form part of your contract. Breaking house rules (& if an extra person or pet is discovered )will result in your contract being terminated without a refund and a 300€ per day fee plus 500€ deduction from your damages deposit…children must be supervised at all times. Parking available for up to 3 cars.

Simply Perfect!!

We arrived to a warm welcome from Jillian and matthew. Our breath was taken away by the views over valley from the swimming. Just a wonderful hidden jewel. We had so much for the kids to do and lots of good food, wine and places to visit!! Thanks for letting us discover this beautiful part of france from such a lovely house and grounds.

We had the best family time during our stay with Matthew and Jillian. Great location, spacious house (La Grange), nice swimmingpool. All set in a beautiful scenery!

A very nice holiday on a beautiful property

The spacious holiday home is surrounded by a large, very beautiful garden. From the large pool you have a great view of forests and vineyards. It is just the right place for a family vacation. Our children found the holiday great. The little one finally learned to swim better. There is a lot to discover in the area: medieval villages, castles and cathedrals. Do you have a telescope or have you always wanted to get one? Bring it with you. The starry sky above the property is spectacular. There is hardly any light pollution. There are hardly any better conditions for hobby astronomy in Western Europe. Mathew and Jillian are always helpful, friendly and humorous.

A beautiful and rustic gite. Elegant decor.

A Gorgeous Gite, surrounded by the exquisitely beautiful french country side. A warmly rustic real to the gites. A great family holiday, plenty to see and do, a car is advised ! Welcoming french villages to explore, and lots of fabulous restaurants and eateries

Beautiful gite with excellent hosts

Matthew and Jill have truly renovated this place beautifully down to every detail. We love how they used glass metal doors everywhere to take advantage of abundant sunlight in the south of France. The view from the pool overlooking the gentle hills are our favorite spot at any moment of the day. We also like the fact that we could monitor our kids from our patio while they played at the pool. The gite is well situated in the sense that it is completely calm and laid back, but we could reach interesting places to visit in 15-20 minutes drive. Matthew and Jill are very helpful with places to explore and things to visit around the area. Jill's welcome package with homemade bread and local wine just made everything perfect right from the beginning. Thanks and we will be coming back.

La Platte

We found La Platte ideal for our family, lovely location and very relaxing, even with two excited children! Matthew and Jill made us feel more than welcome, and their knowledge of the surrounding area and things to do was excellent. The gite has been renovated to a high standard, with an impressive living/dining room with lots of space available for all to move around in, comfortable bedrooms and modern bathrooms. Set in a quiet location with a lovely pool area and wonderful views with plenty of outdoor space for the children to run around in. Thank you Matthew and Jill for a wonderful holiday, we will see you again next year!

A warm welcome from Jillian and Matthew. Beautiful property, lovely peaceful location, great facilities, comfy beds with some nice homely touches in the gite (books,soft furnishings plus some fab art work by Jillian). looking forward to coming back for one of Jillian's residential printmaking hols !

Peaceful, Stunning Views, Would recommend

I stayed in La Grange for one week at the beginning of August and I had a wonderful time. Jillian and Matthew were very welcoming and having never visited this region of France before, I found their knowledge of the area a great help during my stay. The house is in a peaceful rural setting with stunning views of the countryside however within just a short drive you can find many things to do. I visited beautiful art galleries, local markets, a chateau for wine tasting and spent a day at a swimming lake. The spacious accommodation is the perfect place to relax and would be suitable for couples or families looking to explore Gascony.
