This peaceful, modern, and luxurious home was totally renovated in 2015. Located on the edge of town next to a large ranch, the sunset and mountain views are beautiful.
This Mid-Century ranch style home has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and great amenities. This unit comes with red oak floors, a modern kitchen, and restored vintage tiled baths. This is a perfect place for a getaway!

The space is comfortably appointed with:
- 1 King size bed
- 1 Queen size bed
- 1 Double bed
- Netflix, Hulu, Pandora, Amazon Prime Video, and more! each TV has either Roku or Apple TV so you can log in to your own streaming services.

The house features:
- High-speed WiFi
- Fully controllable heating and air conditioning
- Hardwood floors
- Laundry room

Kitchen:
The kitchen is fully equipped with Microwave, coffee maker, dishes, glassware, silverware, pots and pans, and all the amenities needed to enjoy a good meal!

Our priority is to offer you a clean and safe environment so our dedicated housekeeping team decided to use products recommended by the World Health Organization to ensure you have a smooth and pleasant stay with us.

We clean all of our rooms and spaces following a professional protocol specific to the hospitality industry. Taking every precaution and detail to the extreme to have the house in perfect condition.

Our nightly rates depend on the number of guests. The base rate generally includes four guests. Make sure you’ve listed the accurate number of guests at the time of booking.

A reduction in the number of guests won't be allowed unless the reservation is within the cancellation time period window. After that, removing guests and refunds for this same reason won't be eligible.
Adding more guests will be allowed at all times.

Important: We don't accept children below the age of 12

Perfect stay in Marfa

This was the perfect house to stay at for a few days while exploring Marfa. We had everything we needed and felt right at home. I'd definitely stay here again!

This is a extremely nice home. Very clean and spacious. If you are going to stay in Marfa Texas, this is the place to stay during your visit. Great views of the mountains and close to great places to eat.

Perfect Getaway

My friends and I were here for a girls weekend and it could not have been more perfect. Great space, beautiful and comfortable furnishings and the outdoor area was the best place to end the day and start the day. We will definetly return.

Very Comfortable!

We loved this home! Access was easy and the home was very clean. The kitchen had everything one would need and stocked better than most VRBOs we’ve stayed at. The home feels bigger than stated in the description The bathrooms were clean and towels felt plush. The beds and pillows were very confortable.

Perfect for 3 generations!

The house has been beautifully appointed with two living areas and a lovely, large open kitchen. The backyard was absolute perfection to sip coffee with a slight chill in the fall air. And the stars at night...stunning! Communication was spot on and so appreciated. Not only would we recommend to others, but we will put this on our list when we return to Marfa!

Home away from home

What a great place to make our home base as we explored Marfa and the Fort Davis area. We spent most of our time in the home in the backyard by the great wood burning fireplace. The beds were comfy and the home is very nicely decorated, great patio furniture and the kitchen is very nicely anointed with everything needed to cook a meal for those times we couldn't find something open. Close car ride to Frama and Marfa Burrito as well as downtown Marfa. We had a fabulous stay.

Have stayed in many VRBO’s. This was one of the best. Best stocked kitchen of all of them. Robert was very responsive to questions. Location was not that hard to find. Hope to return someday.

Quiet, spacious getaway in Marfa

All three bedrooms had a full size bed or larger, which is nice when traveling with adults. There is a large den with five or six big sofas in it where several children or teens could sleep. The house is on the edge of Marfa, very private and quiet. Nice backyard propane grill and seating area with fireplace. The kitchen is modern, with gas range, and well-equipped for cooks.

Mid Century Marvelous

We all had a fabulous stay here at Robert’s beautiful home. The home was much better than we could have expected even after seeing the pictures. Robert kept in close contact to make sure se had all we needed and the house was very well equipped. I have rented quite few places over the years but this was one of our favorites!

Central location

This house is perfect for couples vacationing together. Central location in town in a neighborhood on top of a hill. Sunsets and sunrises are easily observed here. The house is very clean and has everything needed to unwind at the end of day with plenty of room to relax indoor and out. Very close to Alpine and Marfa lights can be observed between these 2 cities.

Perfect!

We were delighted to find a folder with info in the kitchen readily available with pointers about staying at Casa Capote. We were so private and had a lovely experience. We found everything in order and what we needed was readily available. We enjoyed the outside patio each evening after exploring Marfa. Better than the photos! Really!

The house was fabulously clean with lovely decor and supplies galore! My family and I opted to prepare meals there, as the updated kitchen was fully stocked with everything one could image to prep and serve. The host was on spot with communication, but there were no problems, at all! The view is spectacular all the way around. It’s simply very serene and relaxing. We will definitely be back when the opportunity arises.

Perfect for couples or a family

We were in town from the Dallas areas for our friends wedding. We loved the house and wish we had more down time to hang out in the den and/or patio. I would recommend this house. It was perfect for couples or 2-3 small families. Although, I'm so glad we all decided to leave the kiddos at home last min. We didn't cook but the kitchen looked well stocked and there were plenty of towels. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.

I live between Houston and Marfa. This home is my second home. I fell in love with Marfa in 2004 when I purchased my first home there.

This home has an incredible feel. When I bought this home, it was in original condition. I updated it to be more comfortable, but there is no mistaking this for a 1960's era ranch home. The rock fireplace in the living room was what sold me on the house, not to mention the views of the mountains that surround Marfa. When you sit outside there is very little noise so reading a book or just taking a nap is a wonderful experience.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

Casa Capote sits on a high point in town so the views of the surrounding mountains are really awesome. We are also bordered by a ranch on the south side so there is little noise. Since this is my second home for a large percentage of the year, it is stocked with nice towels, sheets, supplies, and an amply stocked kitchen. You'll find this isn't your normal sterile vacation rental.
