Duca D'Aosta Terrace is a vacation home in Sicily, located in Acquedolci (ME), a young seaside town overlooking the Tyrrhenian coast, facing the Aeolian Islands.
Our apartment is the perfect choice for those who prefer to enjoy their vacation with complete independence, without sacrificing luxury and comfort. Acquedolci is also strategically located to satisfy both beach lovers and those who enjoy nature and the mountains. It’s an excellent starting point for discovering the wonders of Sicily; from here, you can visit art-rich cities like Cefalù, Palermo, or Taormina, go on hikes on Mount Etna, explore the beauty of the Nebrodi Nature Reserve, or easily reach the Aeolian Islands.
The apartment features two double bedrooms, the “King” and the “Queen,” furnished with hypoallergenic beds custom-made by local artisans, featuring 30-cm-thick memory foam mattresses and equipped with Smart TVs.
Both rooms are adorned with antique majolica tiles from Santo Stefano di Camastra, hand-decorated by local artists and skillfully recovered from noble residences in Brolo and San Marco d’Alunzio, and subsequently “installed” by local craftsmen as headboards on the beds.
The majolica and ceramics from Santo Stefano are the elements that most characterize the apartment; they have been used to decorate the kitchen, bedrooms, and various corners of the terraces.
A cozy and bright kitchen-living room, with a view of the town on one side and access to the terrace on the other, is fully equipped for every need. A selection of wines and champagne will always be available to guests. Breakfast can be enjoyed either in the living room or on the cool terrace. (Complimentary amenities, Nespresso coffee machine, and toaster).
On the terrace, accessible directly from the bedrooms and shaded by a large wooden portico, a brick barbecue has been built for relaxing barbecues with a sea view.
New sets of ceramic tableware are available in the apartment.
The main attraction of Duca d’Aosta Terrace is the spacious sun terrace with a private mini-pool (closed from September through April), located on the fourth floor with a spectacular sea view, from which you can admire the Aeolian Islands—in order: Alicudi, Filicudi, Salina, Lipari, and Vulcano, as well as a 360-degree unobstructed view of the town and the entire coastline all the way to Capo d’Orlando, San Marco d’Alunzio, and the Nebrodi Mountains.
The sun terrace was designed for moments of relaxation and pleasure: lounging in the sun on comfortable lounge chairs is what our guests love, cooling off with a shower while admiring the view, enjoying romantic aperitifs at sunset as they watch the red sun slowly sink below the horizon, and elegant dinners with a sea view in the evening.
