Villa with Amazing Views

Casa Jazz is set above the village of Archez with fantastic views to the villages of Competa and Canillas de Albaida. The private pool and outside areas are the perfect place to spend a relaxing day away from it all with an outside shower to cool off. There are facilities for outside dining and a separate seating area. The villa is equipped with six sunbeds complete with mattresses for your comfort. There is a large lounge, dining room and well equipped kitchen in addition to the three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The views from the terrace of the mountains and villages are well worth the climb up the access road. The road to the property is mainly concrete with only the last 100 metres being dirt track, but it is steep and bendy. This property is not for the nervous driver. A new artificial grass area has recently been added.

Stunning location and fabulously well equipped

The location is stunning, overlooking Cómpeta and Canilas, the views are extraordinary. The house is really well equipped, comfortable beds (or at least the one we slept in was) and good WiFi. The area is simply stunning and if,like us, hiking is something you enjoy, there can be few better places in EuropeGood communication from the outset - no complaints at all.

The listing was accurate. It is a lovely looking villa in an isolated hilltop position (with fabulous views).We’ve driven on far worse roads in Italy and Spain, but steady hands and concentration are required all the way up and down; the one time that reversing was required was interesting!The villa was clean and well presented when we arrived (having met and followed the property manager Carl for the initial welcome). He was always quick to respond with our queries; thanks Carl.The villa is great. It’s modern, comfortable, the a/c works well, and the kitchen/dining area had enough space for us to move around.Outside, the bbq is fab, the pool is a good size, and there’s plenty of places to sit, sunbathe and relax. Once the sun has risen over the mountains above Cómpeta, the villa was in constant sunshine all day. There are places to find shade if you need it. The pool was always warm.It’s about 25 minutes to walk down the “road” to Archez; it might take you longer to walk back up!We had a great week relaxing here. It’s ideal for those who want privacy and don’t mind driving. You can see Cómpeta from the villa. It’s only 6 km away, yet takes 16 minutes. Hope you enjoy your stay here; all six of us did.

Summer 24

Property was lovely and was very well equipped throughout, they had thought of everything you could possibly need and require. Once at the villa the views were amazing, but the drive up from the main road was further than anticipated and was quite daunting to start off with. Overall a lively place to relax and stay.

Lovely trip

The drive up to the villa is a little scary to start but you do get used to it. The villa itself is lovely, well equipped with everything you need. The view is amazing and the pool a added bonus which my kids loved, even though it is really cold until you get used to it. Would definitely recommend for a relaxing holiday. Check in is until 10pm.

Amazing place

A rural haven of peace and quiet! Total relaxation in a wonderful villa that had everything we needed. The drive up to the villa is not for the nervous driver but it's so worth it. View is fabulous, pool is great and communication with Gary the owner was excellent, and Carl the property manager was great. Cannot fault the property and hope to come back next year.

Lovely villa (rural in the mountains)

Beautiful, clean and modern villa situated in the mountains (with access roads neither for nervous drivers nor for nervous passengers) ;-) Anyhow, if you seek a peaceful holiday with magnificient views, this is definitely the place - it was a real retreat for us, thank you.

10 days of sun drenched bliss

Casa jazz was all we could have asked for : Sparkling clean villa with ice cold air con in all bedrooms and lounge Lovely refeshing good sized pool. Well equipped kitchen The master bedroom was in the round turret room that was really original Stunning views across to the towns of competa and cannilas and the tejeda mountains Good access for this area of spain on a tarmaced road with a fabulous cafe/ bar vento de curro just 5 mins drive Good access to malaga and airport at 45 mins and all the local med resorts at 20 mins A couple of qibbles sorted out immediately by the ever helpful carl Best value villa we have rented

Tranquil and picturesque

Casa Jazz is in a stunning location, perfect for a relaxing getaway!This is our second visit to this beautiful villa, and we are already planning our next stay.Casa Jazz is very well equipped, exceptionally clean and tastefully decorated. Everything you could wish for, delivering a true home from home experience.Upon arrival we noticed that, since our last visit, the owners had made some lovely improvements to the villa. The owners obviously care about their guests’ experience and should be extremely proud of what they have accomplished.Plenty of outside space available to relax in, whether you like to stretch out in the sun or prefer to read a book in the shade.Restaurants, supermarkets, bars and shops all a very short drive away. With some lovely beaches and attractions within a 30-40 minute drive. Explore some of the local villages, they will not disappoint.This location offers peace and tranquility. And let’s not forget that view.A must for couples or families, this villa and its location will not disappoint.We can’t wait for our next visit!

The perfect villa in a stunning location

The location is excellent and view is just stunning! We could end the review there, however we would be doing the villa a disservice. The villa is inviting, beautiful, modern, clean and has all the amenities you need to make you instantly feel at home. The pool was very inviting and a bonus on a hot day…. of which there were many! The location is great, you have easy access to at least four villages within a 15 minute drive, Cómpeta being the largest. All are worth a visit as there are some excellent restaurants in Árchez, Canillas de Albaida and Cómpeta. Although some of the reviews mention the challenging access road to the villa, we were not too concerned as we have encountered worse. When you arrive at the villa and check out the view it is so worth it, and at night it is transformed once again, the sky is beautiful and the stars are plentiful. Gary, Carl and the preparation team were excellent and worked hard to accommodate our changing travel plans, for which we are so grateful. The pictures do not do the villa justice. We are already looking to book again for June 2025.

Amazing Family holiday

The most comfortable, clean, modern and well equipped villa we have ever stayed in, had an amazing 2 weeks, the views from the villa were the best we’ve ever experienced and we do villa holidays every year in Spain but the drive up to the villa itself is not an enjoyable experience and this impacted massively on our plans we had made for our break. Whilst the listing mentioned the drive is not for the nervous driver, as it is steep and bendy, we felt this didn’t quite describe it very accurately. Whilst it was steep and bendy it was a single track road so if you met anyone on the journey up or down you would have no where to go (luckily this never happened to us). There are 2 turns in particular that are almost 180 degree bends with sheer drops off the sides with no barriers. We certainly don’t class ourselves as nervous drivers and we have stayed in many villas in Spain that have been high up for several years now but have never experienced something like this and it was just too much. I think a good idea would be a video clip should be sent to any renters of the drive up/down! To summarise it’s amazing and you cannot fault it in any way but be aware of the drive up being ‘steep and bendy’!

An absolutely fabulous villa with the most incredible views. We are just back from 2 weeks at this villa and cannot fault it. It was clean, the air con worked great, beautifully decorated and a fantastic pool. We travelled with 2 young children. As other reviews have mentioned the drive up to the villa does initially feel a bit daunting but it is so worth it for the views you get and how private and peaceful it is, and it didn’t stop us going out almost everyday. We have booked to come back next year and can’t wait

10 night stay just me and the husband. We were not disappointed. We met Carl at the bar just 5 mins away from villa so he could guide us up to villa. The drive really is definately not for the faint hearted driver or passenger. But when you get to the villa you forget all out the road up to it. The pictures do not do it justice, honestly we had both seen the pictures online but to see the views in person took our breath away! Honestly I can’t even describe it, you have to see it for yourself. The villa is a perfect size for a couple looking to releax, or a party of 6 as it has 3 bedrooms all with air con. It’s wonderfully clean and has exceptional kitchen utilities and utencils, along with a BBQ.Pool is big and is a well deserved cool dip as the sun is hot! The drive down from villa to the main road is approx 30mins, by doing speed limits and some tight bends. On main road you will find lots of restaurants along with a Lidl and Mercadona for food and drinks shop. The drive at night is an experiance, but if you scare easily then stick to driving when light. Local towns are defiantly worth a visit, but Sunday they all close up. You have a pick of beaches if you fancy a beach day. We loved Playa Burriana and Playa de Torrox both a very easy drive on the main road. We would most definitely come back and would recommend this villa to anyone who would like a relaxing, pool, sun and not much else holiday! Stock up on your alcohol and ice and savour the time and the views.

Omg we loved it at Casa Jazz. Yes the drive up to the Villa is proper hairy for the first couple of trips and then the villa and the views across the valley come into play !!! Carl, the villa manager arranged to meet us late at night as our flight had been pushed back by 4 hours, which was so kind.The villa was immaculate, the Pool is wonderful. The villa had an air conditioning issue which was pointed out to us and they arranged for a new unit to be fitted. Honestly we could not recommend the villa, host and Carl enough.

Wunderbares Objekt, tolle Lage, Panorama-Blick auf drei traumhafte weiße andalusische Dörfer sowohl vom Pool als auch von der Terrasse. Sonnenaufgang auf der Terrasse, ab den heißen Stunden liegt der Außensitz im Schatten. Modernster Grillplatz mit Sommerküche. Äußerst gepflegt und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, hervorragend ausgestattet. Jederzeit wieder! Großartige Möglichkeiten für Straßenradfahrer in der Umgebung.

Nous avons passé une excellente semaine dans la villa de Gary. La maison est parfaitement équipée, rien ne manque pour se sentir comme chez soi. Mention spéciale pour l’extérieur : une vue imprenable sans aucun vis-à-vis, une grande piscine profonde idéale pour se rafraîchir, un barbecue et même une douche extérieure, tout est pensé pour profiter pleinement du séjour. La villa est également très propre et spacieuse, ce qui rend le séjour encore plus agréable. Merci à Gary et Carl pour cette belle expérience, nous recommandons sans hésitation !

Einmalige Lage mit super Ausblick.Anfahrt zum Haus beim ersten Mal etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, beim zweiten Mal schon entspannt.Das Haus ist komplett ausgestattet,in jedem Schlafzimmer befindet sich eine Klimaanlage.Sehr sauber alles.Check in/check out völlig unkompliziert.Wir kommen nächstes Jahr im Juni wieder.Carl der Verwalter ist super nett,kam sofort zur Hilfe wenn es etwas zu klären gab.Toller Pool.Auto erforderlich.

Séjour exceptionnel, vue incroyable !!!

Quelle belle découverte avec vue fantastique, l’endroit était bien au-delà de nos attentes, superbe et très propre. Barbecue avec vue panoramique, belles chambres, cuisine complète et bien équipée. La piscine était très agréable surtout lors des grandes chaleurs lorsque nous étions. Un paradis perché en hauteur pour ceux qui sont à l’aise de conduire dans les superbes montagnes andalouses.
