Located in the heart of Saxony, the large district town of Wurzen is one of the oldest towns in the state. A highlight of the town is the St. Mary’s Cathedral, which is often used for church services, weddings, and concerts. The town, also known as Ringelnatzstadt, has a meticulously restored old town with picturesque alleys, buildings, and squares. The town centre hosts many attractive and individual shops with a varied range of products. The imposing mill towers shape the entire townscape and are regarded as the town's secret landmark.

The Ecumenical St James Pilgrimage Route and the Via Regia, one of the oldest and longest land connections between Eastern and Western Europe, pass through Wurzen. Cycling and hiking trails run through the town, and especially the cycle paths are being continuously expanded. The Mulde River flows through enchanted floodplain landscapes. Adjacent forests and many allotment gardens surround Wurzen like a green belt.

The apartment is located in a building originally constructed as a barracks in 1902 and was completely renovated in 2020. From the balcony you have a view of the park. The street in front of it is mainly used by local traffic and is therefore very quiet.
