Sunset Beach Cabin on clear 2500-acre Shell Lake in Shell Lake, Wisconsin.

Cabin for rent on clear 2500-acre Shell Lake, Wisconsin. Only minutes from Spooner, WI (great shopping and golf) and less than two hours from the Twin Cities. We rent 7 night minimum, from Saturday to Saturday in the summer. In the winter we rent 3 night minimum.

The cabin property has a gradual sandy beach, perfect for kids. Water slide in the lake for kid use. Sandy shoreline and large grassy area for yard games. There is a fire pit to roast marshmallows. Second story deck with gas grill and picnic table overlooking the lake, with gorgeous sunsets across the lake all summer long.

The cabin has three large bedrooms. The first level has two bedrooms (One bedroom has a king bed and the other bedroom has two queen beds), a full bath, an open concept with an eat in kitchen (with all appliances and cooking utensils), and living room with a gas stove. The lower level has one bedroom (with a queen bed), a smaller full bath, laundry and family room with TV and Foosball table.

Enjoy privacy in this home surrounded by trees. There is a dock to secure your boat.

We are providing weekly cabin rental, Saturday to Saturday in June, July and August.

Shell Lake is known for its great Bass, Northern, Pan fish, and Walleye fishing as well as it's sandy bottom and clear water. Bring your boat for water skiing/tubing, or sail on the larger section of the lake. Two kayaks are provided so you can enjoy the beautiful mornings & evenings,. The ATV and Snowmobile-trails can take you all the way to Michigan or Minnesota. You can access the trails right from the cabin. The town of Shell Lake has gas, groceries, restaurants, bars, and public boat launch on shell lake.

Cabin was excellent, great views, lots of wildlife. Saw a doe with her twins several times and with them feeding, which was awesome. My brother and I fished three days in a rented pontoon but not much luck. Janel and Kim were great had a nice visit on the deck. Because my brother and I are up in age the walk to the dock and out on the dock was a little bit much for us. Other than that we had a great time. Sunsets were beautiful. I would recommend staying here. Thanks Janel and Kim.

Shell Lake Stay

Great waterfront, nice sandy beach. Kitchen well stocked, especially cookware. We had a great time, fishing was the highlight of our stay. Hope to return again next year.

Great summer vacation with the kids!

This was our first experience with this property in Shell Lake and we were not disappointed. The owners are very welcoming. The home has everything you need for a fun and relaxing week at the lake. The home is very clean and plenty of space for everyone to spread out. We especially liked the sandy beach and gradual entrance into the lake. The water is crystal clear and this area of the lake had an abundance of sandy beach bottom:) We would definitely recommend this property and stay again ourselves!

Wonderful peaceful get away!

The rental was spotless and smelled clean when we arrived. Lots of room for all to spread out and make ourselves at home. There was plenty of space for three vehicles and two boat trailers to park. There's not a ton of room to turn a truck and trailer around but an experienced driver would have no problem. The A/C is a wall unit and keeps the kitchen and living room very comfortable. We bought a fan that we used to blow the cool air down the hallway towards the bedrooms. That helped on the muggy nights. The dock is nice quality and sturdy. Our group brought two fishing boats. We had to brainstorm a good way to tie up so the boats would not drift under the dock and get scratched up. Not a big deal because we came ready with extra buoys and rope. The beach is beautifully manicured and water stays shallow quite a ways out. It was a wonderful beach for our little ones. The firepit had plenty of chairs around it and two little tables. The owner kept of fire wood stocked for us. There's marshmallow roasters and lighters in the cabin. The lake was busy Saturday and Sunday with lots of jet skis, pontoons and tubing. The rest of the week was very quiet on the lake. Fishing for musky was rough but the bass were easier to find. The owner was very welcoming, kind, and laid back. He was available right next door or with a quick phone call if we had any questions. Would love to rent this place again in the future. We would recommend this rental.

Had a great time during our stay at shell lake. My kids love to swim so this setup was great for us. Kim and Janelle the owners were great to deal with. Hoping to go back next year.

Family Vacation

Property is great with large sand beach for children. Owners are fantastic people that were very helpful without hovering over us.. House is well equipped for any usual need.

Relaxing lakeside retreat

We were looking for a family getaway before school started again and this place had everything we wanted. With the large yard for the boys to run in, the kayaks and beach to play in, as well as the dock for our boat, we were able to keep active while still finding room for relaxation. The hosts were very accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely come back and highly recommend this location for others. Thank you for a great stay!

Amazing beach!

We had a great family vacation at this house. By far the best thing about it is the perfect lake frontage. The water is very clear and the bottom is all hard sand. The shoreline is also all sand, which the owners groom. There were plenty of sandcastles made! And since the water is only waist deep about 75 feet out or so it was great for the kids to play. The owners even brought out their water carpet for them a couple of days, which they loved. The house was as expected from the pictures. It’s older and a little dated, but was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. We went for the location and lake anyway, and that did not disappoint. Our only real “issue” we experienced was the pontoon we rented from the owners. I knew from the pictures it wasn’t going to be perfect, but in the end I don’t think is worth the weekly rental fee we were charged. We had issues starting it several times, and once had to sit out on the lake for about 15 minutes trying to get it going. The only reason I mention it is in case someone doesn’t have a lot of experience dealing with older motors, it really would not be a good option for them. Overall we had a wonderful stay, and would definitely recommend the house for anyone wanting to relax at the lake on your own private beach! Thanks for a great time!

Beautiful Peaceful Cabin to Relax and Reset

What a beautiful spot for a cabin. This place was just right for our family. It had everything we needed. The yard and fire pit were so nice and even had enough room and a swing and slide for our little one. Taking the Pontoon out for boat rides, fishing and the kayaks for a spin was so peaceful and refreshing I felt brand new. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. We would definitely stay again!

Great for families

We had an exceptional time! The cabin was clean, spacious, and offered a beautiful view of the lake. The beach sand bottom and gradual walk out was ideal for my toddlers when playing in the water. The renters were very accommodating and even let our toddlers play on their small playground as they live next door. We had such a good time and plan to rebook for next summer!

Great family setting! Beautiful beach, clear water, and even better sunsets by the campfire!

Great place to get away! Owners are top notch. The house is beautiful, it had everything we wanted plus more. Also had a large backyard, nice dock, and a great place for our kids to swim. Definitely will be staying here again!

Wonderful Week

Had a great time. Cabin was well furnished and very clean. Owners bent over backwards to make sure you had everything you needed. Lake was nice and clear, with a nice sandy beach. The grandkids loved it! Would definitely book again.

Everything advertised and more

Loved our two week stay at this cabin! The owners were amazing and accommodating. The cabin was very well stocked with everything you can think of and clean when we arrived. The sandy beach was wonderful for our family, very clear water. We made some great memories!

My wife and I have owned this property on shell lake since 2014. We have recently retired and live in the Cabin next door to the rental cabin, so we are available to answer any questions you may have.

Great area to recreate. There is a beautiful lake and beach. Plus access to 4-wheeling and snowmobiling trails right from the property. Our street encircles the lake providing a 10 mile bicycle ride. The town offers groceries, gas, restaurants and bars plus ice cream treats accessible by boat or bike.

We love the clear water and sandy beach. Level beach access with no steps down to the shore, no big rocks along the shore... just sand. Great for kids to play in the water with a gradual sloping beach.
