Oceanfront Vintage Malibu Beach Bungalow with large Deck

This charming vintage oceanfront beach bungalow is perfectly situated on a dry sandy beach on a private road. This location is great for taking long strolls on the sandy beach or enjoying water sports. The house has french doors that open up from living room to a large oceanfront deck. Spend your days relaxing on the deck with your morning coffee while watching the dolphins and flocks of birds at the ocean. Spend your evenings stargazing on the deck or cozying up by fireplace while hearing the sounds of the waves. This is the perfect place to recharge with the family (including, pet family members), couples or group of friends.

Uncovered Parking for 2 cars. This Malibu beach house is conveniently located within walking distance to Geoffrey's restaurant and a short drive to the shops and restaurants at The Malibu Country Mart, Point Dume, Carbon Beach and Malibu Pier. Beautiful hiking trails are also nearby.

House sleeps up to 5 people with the following bedding details:

-Bedroom 1: Master bedroom with 1 queen size bed.

-Bedroom 2: 1 Full size bed in small sized guest bedroom (*if you can fit 2 people in the full size, then house can accommodate 6 with the other 2 queen beds shared*)

-Bedroom 3: Queen size bed in guest bedroom.

Beachfront Paradise

Our family enjoyed the beach and many restaurants nearby overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Malibu. Kat, thanks for the recommendations, enjoyed Nobu, Moonshadows and Geoffrey's immensely. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful location and house !

The house was super easy to check in and the location was perfect! The beach in front of the house is a public beach but it doesn’t really get too busy and the neighborhood was very nice and the people were great. The host was really great and she was so kind and so helpful throughout the entire trip. The house was small but it was perfect for us. No AC but that’s okay because there were many fans provided and the cool beach air helps to cool it off as well ! Overall an amazing experience and house! No complaints here

Fun Stay

Kat was a wonderful host. Very responsive and accommodating. The house was very clean and had everything we needed for a three-night stay. Everything was in good working order. The house is right on the beach, so no need to go to any fancy restaurants with views. We just ordered from nearby restaurants and enjoyed our meals on the deck overlooking the ocean while the two kids played. The beach in front of the house was all sand with no rocks, so great for swimming. The beach is a shore break so if you have small children you may need to keep a closer eye on them depending on the size of the swell. There was plenty of sand in front of the house and to the side of the house even during high tide. There is a natural creek that empties into the ocean adjacent to the property. I am not sure if the city's pipes that carry the water were clogged or how it usually drains to the ocean, but during our stay, it was routed under the house’s deck beach access stairs. The water had washed away a lot of the sand below the deck and the deck stairs used to access the beach. Hopefully the city fixes the problem soon. Overall we had a wonderful stay and the kids loved being right on the beach.

Amazing Beach House

We had such a great stay here. This is the perfect beach house on a great little strip in Malibu. The beach felt really private and undiscovered even though it’s public. The location is very close to everything and Kat was a great host….very quick responses to our questions and super accommodating. We can’t wait to return!

Amazing Location - great host!

Oh this is the place to be! A lovely little cottage - everything you possibly need for some days in the sun. The cottage is small, but does have everything you need. Very clean, kitchen was stocked with all items for cooking, along with comfortable beds and pillows. The deck was absolutely perfect for watching the waves and wildlife. A perfect sandy beach, close to the water so jumping in and out was easy, and really enjoyable. Kat was extremely responsive and very kind, easy to work with. We will be back, and we will be recommending this cute little cottage to all of our friends. Thanks for everything Kat! See you soon!

Location, Location, Location

If you're looking for a place to relax without the hustle & bustle of Malibu and want the sound of the waves as your zen, this is the place. Simple but comfortable; wonderful beach and ocean access. Your time will be spent on the spacious deck and/or the lovely beach front. All amentities you need for a great stay.

Steps to the water

Clean but not fancy. Exactly what we needed. Make sure to use the cones to keep the public beach goes away to give you space. Lovely property. Couch could use an upgrade.

Live ocean soundtrack

If being steps from the water, with a restaurant like Geoffrey’s next door is your thing, book this property ASAP. Kathy was a terrific, responsive host. The house has a throwback feel, while sparkling clean. Will definitely be back.

The view!...

My stay there was great. The bungalow style house gave me the feeling of a true traditional vibe of a vacation beach house. The house is right there, on the beach, which has no price! The pleasure of seeing magnificent sunsets and sundowns, the waves soothing sounds and the serenity brought by the sea, made our stay a pleasurable one.

Breathtaking View Beach House

First of all, Kathy was so nice and just amazing to work with! She responded immediately to everything! The view is just absolutely gorgeous! The beach area in front is so private and just the perfect setting. We had so much fun. We saw dolphins playing, seals, and even a whale!!! It was magical. We would love to come back soon!!!

Great Place!!

The property is exactly as you see in the pictures. Small home right on the beach with lots of sand right in front of the deck to play corn hole, etc. The home is an older home so if you’re looking for luxury this place isn’t it. But if you’re looking for a relaxing time on the beach this place is perfect! My 12 year old daughter loved it and so did our 2 dogs. It’s actually the perfect place for some much needed R&R. We will be back for sure.

Best Malibu rental!

We stayed for a long weekend and everything was perfect! Amazing location, right on Escondido beach. Kathy is wonderful and was very helpful with questions we had for our trip. Will definitely be renting this property again in the future!
