Simply wonderful

Such a special place; quirky, comfortable, well stocked, great location, peaceful, surrounded by nature, just simply wonderful. Fida and Chris were the loveliest of hosts, providing a delicious welcome pack and lots of info about the area.

A gem of a place!

We fell in love with the area, the hosts were perfect and the place was adorable, unique and artsy. It’s the kind of place you could see yourself going back to year after year. It’s a very special place, I highly recommend it!

Amazing

It is a very special and very beautiful place. The house and the Host are like a gift/present. The house has all you need and you can reach beatiful beaches, tavernas and more from there. I woul definitly come back.

Very nice area and very friendly host. The welcoming pack was exceptional!!!In order to reach the flat you have to pass through the private garden of the host who lives next door. The small cooling pool is also located in the host's garden and we were invited to use it. We wish that would have been clearer in the description.All in all it's a lovely wee place and very well cared for and clean.

We stayed at The Goatshed during the off season. Lots of rain ( even a "named" storm ) during our stay, and still it was absolutely magical. Everything we hoped it would be ! The villages in the area had lovely tavernas and incredible bakeries as well as grocery stores well stocked with everything you need. I spent a morning sipping coffee and listening to a Greek Orthodox memorial service being chanted nearby, another morning we watched the neighbors harvesting olive trees. The Goatshed itself is the epitome of shabby chic ! Everything you need done up in incredible casual style. Both inside and out The Goatshed is full of unique art and cozy nooks to curl up in. The banquet outside the kitchen door is amazing! Candles and pots of abundant greenery, little amazing art pieces,,,I could have spent many more hours in that little corner and still found new things to see.Fida and Chris are the ultimate hosts, from their exuberant greeting on arrival, the incredible treats and gifts awaiting us, to the great knowledge of the area and recommendations, you couldn't ask for finer hosts ! like their amazing home and Goatshed they are cool, funky, artsy, bright and a true joy to get to know ! I consider them friends and can't wait to see them again !!A broken knee cap, ( happened on the way to Greece ) days of rain and a huge Mediterranean storm ( Adel ) and we still enjoyed every minute of our stay at The Goatshed. Can't wait to return !! Fida, Chris and The Goatshed, gems !

Charming one-off holiday home

Very well equipped with very helpful owners. Fida and Chris live next door and never interfere but are super helpful and kind. The Goatshed is fun and quirky and we really loved it.

Lovely rustic accommodation and beautiful area

We stayed at the Goatshed for a week and had a great time. The property had everything we needed and Fida and Chris were on hand if you needed them, but respected your privacy so you could enjoy the peace of the surroundings or a dip in their plunge pool to cool off. You get a lovely welcome package with yogurt, honey, olives, wine and homemade bread and fava dip which was delicious. The property had tons of cooking equipment, tea, coffee and cleaning supplies - making it really easy to cook if you don’t want to go out all the time. It is a 20 min walk in to Koroni where there are loads of restaurants - Carina Food and Wine and Zorba stood out for us - and you can easily get a taxi back for about 5-7You can also walk to the beach or drive down and park on the road or at many of the beach bars or tavernas, where for many of you are a customer you can use the beach loungers and umbrella for free. It is a beautiful area and I would highly recommended it and the Goatshed.

Beautiful stay in a magic corner of Greece

We had a wonderful week in the Goatshed. Fida and Chris are warm and generous hosts, and the accommodation is charming and full of character. Comfy bed, great shower, excellent cooking facilities. The terrace is a fabulous spot to linger at any time of the day. Koroni and the wider Messinia area are simply magical. Highly recommended.

Fabulous stay with the loveliest hosts!

The goatshed is a lovely, quirky and unique place with a rustic feel that makes it authentic. We loved staying here and our hosts Fida and Chris were the best, from greeting us warmly, showing us around to responding quickly to any questions we had. They made themselves available when needed but respected our privacy The area is next to a lovely coast with lots of little beaches to visit. We had a wonderful time, thanks so much Fida and Chris

A wonderful holiday

We really enjoyed our stay with Fida and Chris. The small, lovely holiday home is comfortable and individually furnished and offers everything you need for your daily needs. The surroundings are simply magical. Koroni is a beautiful village, where you can enjoy the sunset in one of the restaurants at the harbor. There are several beautiful sandy beaches in the area. Fida and Chris show you all of this and are always on hand to help and advise. Being a guest here feels like a second home. Thank you for this unforgettable vacation.

Wonderful in every way!

The Goatshed is the most charming, delightful property we have ever stayed in over many years of visiting Greece. The property itself is exceptional, providing absolutely everything we could possibly need for our stay. The building itself is fascinating, and the interior furnished with an artist’s eye. Fida and Chris are simply wonderful hosts, so warm and generous with their time, advice, and the best welcome hamper imaginable. We feel very lucky to have had a week at the peaceful Goatshed, and would stay again in a heartbeat! Thank you very much Fida and Chris.

Not enough words

What can I say......wonderful hosts, wonderful house and wonderful Koroni. Me and my partner loved our stay from start to finish. Fida and Chris are amazing hosts. The house is just beautiful, comfy bed and lovely shower. we also enjoyed using the outdoor shower. We had everything we needed and more! The welcome pack was above an beyond anything we have ever experienced. Thank you Fida and Chris.....we will hopefully meet again x

Wonderful!

We had a fabulous week at The Goatshed in early April. It is a gorgeous, quirky and cosy space to stay. Fida and Chris were the most thoughtful of hosts, so friendly and full of suggestions for great places to visit and always ready to help with anything. The house is excellently well equipped - everything we thought of, even things we thought we were unlikely to find, was somewhere in the house. We were very comfortable and relaxed the whole time. Cannot recommend highly enough!

Authentic Greek accommodation.

The Goatshed was exactly as described. Unique rustic accommodation with everything you could need provided. The welcome pack exceeded anything we have had before with lots of local provisions. The hosts were second to none, so welcoming and helpful, gave us a guided tour of the area with tips of the best places to visit. Be prepared for the sounds of the Greek countryside, goats, chickens, dogs, cats, owls, birds and bees. Sunscreen and mosquito spray required. Koroni is a lively place to eat with plenty of of restaurants serving Greek specialities on the harbour side. Lovely beaches nearby with bars if that's your thing.

Best spring break ever

We beat the crowds after having booked the Goatshed just before The Guardian published a raving review, and we had a wonderful spring break staying for 10 days looked after professionally by Fida and Chris, our amazing hosts. The Goatshed is the most lovely, well equipped and tastefully refurbished cottage with everything you need! We most adored the outdoor seating area with seaviews of Mani, across a meadow in fill bloom, and the neighbours goats. The walk to Koroni is so amazing, and the little town itself a haven of peace, which allows to lean back and watch the world go by. Until next year!....

A little bit of paradise in an oasis of calm!

The Goatshed is a beautiful, tranquil antidote to modern life. Fida and Chris are magnificent hosts; from the moment of arrival to saying our goodbyes, they were warm, welcoming and knowledgeable. On our first day, they took us on a trip of the local area, pointing out the best beaches, restaurants and bars, and places to buy groceries. The accommodation is really well equipped - it had everything we could need and more besides. Sitting on the veranda, listening to the sounds of nature is a memory that will stay with us for a long time. We are looking forward to returning as soon as we are able to.

Goatshed Getaway

Fida and Chris were incredibly welcoming. They took us on a tour of the local area and pointed out all the best beaches and swim spots. The property is very well equipped and came with everything you would need for a holiday. The local beach is a short walk away. We were there in high summer and even then it didn’t feel crowded. A short drive away and you have a cove all to yourself. Simply stunning. Koroni itself is very pretty and virbrant with lots to see and do. This place is great and Fida and Chris have done amazing things to convert the goat shed into a lovely, comfortable getaway.

Calming the spirit

Our hosts Fida and Chris are absolutely charming, as well as the goat shed itself. The equipment and furnishing is more than satisfactory. The garden is lovely with a soothing view. Several little owls greeted us every day, goats, hoopoes, jay birds, dogs, roosters participated in the singing. We wanted to calm the spirit and get our roots grounded. The Goatshed

We enjoyed a brilliant time in the goat shed! Its such a peaceful place in a beautiful setting - with a garden full of delicious herbs, fruit and veg! Fida and Chris were excellent hosts - always so helpful and ensuring we felt really comfortable and at home. The house is in an excellent location - within walking distance from the bars, shops and restaurants of koroni and only ten minutes from the nearest beach. We loved having the bikes and being able to explore along the coast and find beautiful bays and beaches to swim and snorkel. Overall, we had a perfect sunny holiday and would definitely love to return again soon! Thank you Fida and Chris!

Perfect escape

The property is so beautifully designed and kitted out, with lots of salvaged pieces, furniture made by owner Chris, beautiful textiles and lovely china in the kitchen. It overlooks a meadow with lots of wildflowers and feels incredibly secluded and private. Fida and Chris were lovely hosts who drove us around the area on the first day, pointing out good places to eat, walk or swim. It's really easy to walk into Koroni where there are lots of restaurants and the big, long Zaga Beach is about ten minutes walk away. We had a really wonderful time relaxing here, watching the swallows and listening to the bees buzz by day and the bats flitting around in the evening. It's a real gem of a place to stay, in a beautifully rural corner of Greece.

A perfect stay.

Fida and Chris amazing hosts, personable, helpful and caring. I can’t say enough, I was late by about 6 hours, they inquired about my well being repeatedly, came out to meet me because by then it was dark and guided me to the Goat Shed. The Goat Shed was everything and more. It was clean, uniquely but very tastefully decorated, some real talent and skill went into the design and decor. The nearby town of Koroni is very scenic with excellent cafes and restaurants. Fida and Chris took me on a tour of the town and showed me the best spots along with a couple hidden beaches that were gems. There was food and drink waiting when I got there, I can’t say how much that meant for a weary traveller. 10 out of 10 for this cottage and the fabulous hosts.

A very special Goat Shed

Wonderful quirky property created and cared for by the utterly magnificent Fida and Chris. The Goat Shed is about a 15 minute walk down hill to a lovely local beach, walk back uphill takes a tad longer; similarly the walk into Koroni town along the "ridge" takes about 20 minutes with splendid views either side of the ridge. For other beaches or exploring further afield then do hire a small car. Property is best suited for a couple but can accommodate a third, ideally a child; ours being a 13 year old. Great facilities in the property, all you need really. And you will feel deliciously welcomed on arrival. Chris and Fida made us feel like one of their family. A very special couple and a very special Goat Shed. Enjoy!

A gem!

Really enjoyed our stay at the Goatshed. Fida and Chris have clearly thought about the finer details. The property is very equipped and well stocked with every day necessities. A very generous welcome pack was also provided. We decided against a hire car and managed perfectly well walking to local beaches and to Keroni which are within a 1km or so from the property- the uphill climbs helped with our overall fitness. Our hosts took us to a larger supermarket on the 2nd day and also gave us a tour of the area, pointing out mini markets, fresh poduce stalls and tavernas/snack bars within walking distance. Weather was beautiful - not too hot and comfortable for sleeping. We wish Fida and Chris every success for the future and look forward to visiting again one day.
