Lovely stay

Lovely flat. Well equipped kitchen and comfy bed in a quiet area. Ideal for two people. 5 min walk to shops/restaurants in centre of Monmouth. Highly recommend.

Our third stay at the apartment,the heat was a bit of an issue as it was colder than usual for early September and had problems which took a few days for us the sort out.On our arrival the parking spot was taken by a non resident and i call the owner though at 10pm the car moved and rest of the visit was no problem.Overall great place to stay and would love to visit in the future

The standard has gone down.There was mould around the bathtub and mould when you opened the large bedroom window and a musty smell especially if one is sensitive with allergies which my wife is.The fan extractor over the stove was dirty,so the place as a whole needs a deep clean.There were only 2 spoons and minimal plates etc, only 4 hangers in the bedroom.The washing machine should be replace by a dishwasher which would be more practical for short stays.We have stayed at this apartment a number of times over the years as the location is perfect and an excellent parking spot.It is certainly not a luxury apartment and it wouldnt take a great deal of work to bring the stand up to good.Outside the apartment is run down,we could never sit outside as chairs,uncomfortable ,dirty etc need upgrading.Overall outside needs more care and attention and not taken care of other than the grass was cut,we couldnt sit out there. Overall the apartment was below the standard we are now used too at other holiday rental and again should not be classed as luxury

Second time at this property. This time I felt that it just needs a little bit of maintenance in the bathroom. But overall it is an ideal flat to stay in, in a great location. Thank you.

Ideally located well appointed flat

A very good property. Has everything you might need including a microwave and clothes airer (not listed/photographed in the ad I saw). Difficult to fault it except on a personal level, for example the bed was too soft for me but many would prefer that.

Great stay in Monmouth

The flat was great, clean, well equipped and within walking distance from the town center, we couldn’t have wished for a better location to explore the surrounding area, which is beautiful, and then stroll into town for the evening. Would definitely recommend and return if we are ever in the area.

Good But Could Be Better

Good for the price but certain details we've come to expect were lacking; only 1 roll of TP, 1/2roll of paper towel, and particularly an information sheet. We did not know how the host wanted linens and towels left, where to take out the trash, etc. Particularly alarming was the magnetic lock on the entrance door. It appeared to be always left open but one afternoon as we were leaving the door was shut and locked. We couldn't get out until we tried what looked like a light switch. However it appeared you needed a card of some sort to unlock from the outside. We'd gone to see friends and came back late. We'd left the door open and just hoped it still was. Had it closed again we would have been stranded at midnight in the rain! Good enough for the money but could easily be better.

Enjoyed out stay

We travel a lot throughout Europe and always stay at apartments.We enjoyed the apartment and it is a very high standard for U.K. rentals and one of the best we have stayed at in the U.K. . The location is very good with a short walk to centre of Monmouth and the bonus is that it has a parking spot,a much prized possession in the town. No real faults with the actual apartment which was all it said in the advertisement. The main areas for improvement such as the entrance door to the building is frequently left open by other tenants so most nights which was a bit of a concern so we went out and closed it after 10pm.It would be good to have frosted glass in the bathroom as though it only looks out onto a small inner yard only accessed by other tenants and there is a blind to use at night but in the day time one puts up the blind and my wife's shock when she glanced through the window to see someone equally shocked looking into the bathroom. We would certainly stay there again if visiting that area. Jeff and Monika

Stay In Monmouth - 5, St James Street

A very comfortable apartment of high quality furnishings and fittings. Everything excellently cleaned. Sorry that there wasn’t a dishwasher as it was mentioned in the information . The manager/owner said he look at the information. He was most pleasant and helpful in his emails. Parking off road very good and it worked perfectly. The key pad was a little low to see - especially for those of us in advancing years (76 and 78) but we had a very enjoyable break. Would certainly recommend this high quality apartment. Pauline

Excellent Flat Near The Centre Of Monmouth

Stayed here for a long weekend with my wife and new-born. This flat provided an excellent base for us to explore the lovely town of Monmouth and the surrounding Wye valley area. The flat itself is very well presented with a well furnished kitchen and high quality bedding. The high ceilings give the space a roomy feel and the garden is a lovely space on a sunny day. It is only a 5 min walk to the centre of Monmouth where there are numerous restaurants, coffee shops and other facilities to enjoy. The surrounding area is beautiful with many excellent walking routes and ancient monuments to visit. Highly recommended!

Luxury flat and a great holiday stay

The standard of the property is outstanding. The high ceilings give a lovely sense of spaciousness, the decor and furniture are tasteful and high quality (including the sofabed,) plus the kitchen has everything needed for a home away from home. Great shower too! And great location - walking distance from shops and restaurants but far enough to not be noisy. Highly recommended.
