The GetInBerlin am Checkpoint Carlie Penthouse will be Your exclusive apartment with Private Terrace facing the famous Checkpoint Charlie in Berlin!
It is located on Historic Ground, in the most central district of Berlin, Mitte, a stone’s throw from the famous Friedrichstrasse and from the main sights of this wonderful city (Potsdamer Platz, Museums’ island and so on), that means shopping, restaurants, markets, subway but in the same time you'll sleep on the top of the building facing Berlin roofs.
You'll be welcomed in a bright penthouse and your sight will be caught at once by the panoramic window opening on the private terrace facing the Checkpoint Charlie, perfect for enjoying a drink from the Berlin's rooftops.
The interior is modern and functional, with design details, oil on canvas paintings, dark curtains, to make the experience in the apartment even more special. Top mattress to grant the best sleep for our Guests.

Super location - close to U Bahn, but also walkable to sights in just a few minutes. Lovely outdoor terrace with a great view. Great amenities. Good restaurants close by. Would stay here again!

The house was at the best location it could be. I was visiting with my parents and I was is a wheelchair user, so it was important that the flat was as accessible as possible. She can do some steps, so the step going in the shower was not a problem, but the flat was small and cozy, so it didn't bother us. The elevator closer to the flat was not working, but thankfully another elevator around the block was working, so we could get in the flat. The first two days the heating in the bedroom was also not working, so it was rather cold at night, but Alessandra got us a movable heating fan the following day, until the handyman could come and fix the heating. When it was fixed, the heating was working super well and the flat got very warm. Thanks for the hospitality Alessandra!

Berlin visit

The location is superb - close to attractions, restaurants and shops.Excellent for 2 people.Beds were a bit uncomfortable and some of the amenities need upgrading ie: toilet seat.The host was very quick to respond to inquiries.

The apartment is in a fantastic location. As other reviews mentioned, the apartment could use a refresh in bedding (pillows) and the seating in the living room is very uncomfortable. Additionally, the closet door is broken/couldn't be opened all the way, which meant we could only use 1/3 of the closet. In this apartment, the closet had the only drawers/places to store your clothes. We ended up using the dining table to lay our clothes out, which was not ideal.

Great Central Place in Berlin

We very much enjoyed our time in Berlin, with this apartment as our home base. It was centrally located, with U stops nearby.

Nice area, not a penthouse

While area and communication were wonderful, the listing was a bit misleading. This is a one-bedroom flat on the top floor, not a penthouse and certainly not an exclusive penthouse. Parking onsite is also listed, which is actually not true. Street parking is available for a hefty price, if you can find a spot. Local metro is close, affordable and easy to navigate

Great location for 4 nights in Berlin

Property was ideal for a couple's long weekend in Berlin with convenient access to historical sites. Nearby Italian and Vietnamese restaurants were excellent and grocery store close by for supplies. Really enjoyed sitting on the balcony each evening given the very warm, but dry, September weather during our stay.

We so very much enjoyed Berlin-- fascinating city with a tortured and difficult history (e.g. Fascism, WWII destruction, Berlin Wall). Our visit was even more enjoyable-- with the conveniently located and comfortable apartment. It was perfect for a couple-- the kitchen had all we needed and the bathroom was clean and well kept.

Perfect place to enjoy Berlin

A wonderful apartment with lovely balcony & view over Mitte area. Ubahn right close by & easy walking to reach tourist spots. Plus have to recommend French restaurant Entrecôte directly across the road. For a special meal ‘way to go’.

We stayed at the apartment during a short visit to Berlin. The apartment was in a great location within walking distance of the subway and numerous tourist attractions. Communication with the host was easy and locating and accessing the unit was easy.

Great stay

Erik was very helpful & communication was excellent. Apartment had a good sized verandah with a great view. Location was perfect. We walked everywhere and saw so much. Berlin is a beautiful city.

Great location

The apartment was small but clean and efficient. 10 min walk to grocery store, about 6 minutes to the Stadtmitte subway. Many excellent restaurants within blocks. We had a perfect stay in Berlin. We had perfect weather so never needed to check out the heat/ac. In fact, we just had the windows open - not even noisy despite being so central.

Great location

This place is in a fantastic location. So close to everything you can walk. It does have everything you need. However there are a few things to work on. The shower is disconnecting from the wall, it’s rusted through. The futon is uncomfortable to sit on as a couch. The dining chairs are so small and hard they too are uncountable so we brought in the outside chairs. The bed is good but needs new pillows.

We were dazzled by each point of this city, by its diversity and we have continued appreciating its charm so much to open a second apartment in the center, a penthouse overlooking the Checkpoint Charlie.
We did not stop, neither I nor my family, which I am privileged to have by my side in the construction of this project. A project that is not only about apartments, but also about targets and unstoppable passion.
From Berlin we decided to expand our adventure in Italy, and where else but in the Eternal City, next to the Vatican City, surrounded by faith, by mystery and by the history of the Unforgetable Rome.
Our apartments are our home, stylish and discreet, made up of people whose primary goal is the satisfaction of our guests.
We hope to share with you our adventure.

Checkpoint Charlie is one of our favorite places in Berlin, close to everything, the Brandenburg Gate, the magnificent Gendarmenmarkt..and much more.
When we saw this penthouse for the first time we loved it immediately.
The terrace is gorgeous and the view iss breathtaking!

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

The terrace at the Checkpoint Charlie is definitely the highlight of the apartment, not to mention the internal characteristics of furniture, marble bathroom, the shower with rain effect. It 'a special place that many of our guests have chosen to celebrate their important moments. We hope to see you soon!
