Charming villa close to nature, lake and ocean and 25 mins to Stockholm center

Welcome to our accommodation, which is located in a calm area with nature around near Stockholm city. A place designed to be able to combine work with leisure, the pulse of the city with the calm of nature, quiet recovery with sporting activities.

The entire property has been recently renovated and the rental includes a main house of 140 sqm and a separate cabin of 9 sqm which can be used as both a sleeping cabin for up to 2 people and as an office for home work. (bedroom nr 4 / Office in the description futher down)

The house stands on a large plot of land that connects to the nature reserve. On the other side of the road from the house you find the start of hiking trails, running tracks, cycle paths and several areas for barbecuing, rest, meditation and a view of Stockholm's inlet.

If you want to swim or sunbathe, you will find our bathing jetty at the popular lake Glasbrukssjön 5 minutes' walk down the street, and if you'd rather cool off in the sea, it's 5 minutes in the other direction.

15 minutes' walk down towards the canal, just next to the ocean is a boat dock and during parts of the year you can take the ferry into the city, the famus areas of Djurgården that offers all from parks, museums and restaurants to zoo and amusement parks for all ages.

Or take the ferry all the way out into the Stockholm archipelago for a adventure over the day or why not find a hotel for a night in one of the islands?

All year round, seaborne traffic in the form of municipal and private ferries runs from Nacka Strand, which you can reach by bus, car or bicycle in less than 30 minutes. There you will also find the shopping center Nacka Forum..

Regardless of whether you want to spend a day in the city, go to a museum, Liseberg's amusement park or take a trip to the archipelago, we recommend that you take the ferry to see Stockholm from its best side. We are happy to help with tips on activities.

Take the highway 20 miutes out to the island of Värmdö and you will find cozy restaurants, zoo with swedish animals and miniature golf made in an adventure way. From Värmdö you can aslo take a ferry to the famous island of Sandhamn, the most poppular plance for swedish people to go during summer. Go there and back over the day or spend a night at the hotel som you have time to experience swedish culturre of island life.

The area of Björknäs in Nacka where the house is located has become one of Stockholm's most attractive and is mixed year-round with accommodation and summer accommodation where renting to touriststing families has become common during the summer. Here you will find friendly neighbours, a calm pace without disturbing noise and all the possibilities for activities both on the property, in the forest or on the water.

The place is a promontory out in Stockholm's inlet, and therefore the traffic here is light. At the same time, the entire plot is enclosed by fences, which means that you can feel safe letting children and pets play freely on the plot.

The house is our residence that we live in alternately and commute between our other residence in Kiruna in northern Sweden, above the Arctic Circle. The house designed to be able to spend a lot of time in, whether it is indoors or outdoors and take its inspiration from both traditional stockholm summer culture and the northen nature culture.

The large garden consists of two large lawns, two large terraces, pine and blueberry woodland, a Japanese garden under construction and a corner where soft wood chips surround a plum tree to allow an oasis of relaxation in the shade.

Multiple and large areas that create many opportunities and are connected with social areas where we draw inspiration from both archipelago and northen culture, this is not least noticeable by, among other things, the large chandelier in the living room that is hand-carved from reindeer antler with Sami craftsmanship.

Red house and white knots certainly take us to the Swedish cottage dream, but don't be fooled. Indoors there are all amenities and a wireless audio system with the latest technology to stream to TV and fast fiber connection can be controlled either via the phone or buttons, just like the lighting throughout the property.

All the rooms are newly renovated and all of them exept one have direct access via balcony doors to the terraces that goes around the entire house and allows you to follow the sun throughout the day.

From the terraces you access the large garden. Perfect for games and activities. Outdoor shower, gas grill and large wok (murikka), ping pong table and outdoor games are available for you. The area of the two large lawns will be shared with our small cabnin that you can read more about in the end futher down.

We want to create as lovely and simple a stay as possible for you, so there are both large and small towels as well as bath towels for those of you who want to swim in the lake or the sea ready together with soap, shampoo and conditioner when you arrive. Let us know if there is anything we kan do to make it eaven better for you and we will try to fix it if possible.

The rooms in brief:

- Hallway: Open, bright and welcoming hall with good storage options for outerwear and accessories.

- Kitchen: Open plan with a central fireplace for cozy evenings and connects to the dining area and living room to create space for community. There is an electric stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and freezer together with all conceivable accessories.

- Living room: High ceiling is embraced by large floor-to-ceiling windows and patio doors to the veranda. Here we let in the light and nature to create a calm. 75" smart TV and board games are available for cozy indoor evenings.

- Bathroom 1: Large bathroom with shower, toilet, two sinks, storage, washing machine and dryer.

- Bathroom 2: Small bathroom with toilet, sink and storage.

- Bedroom 1: Master bedroom has a large double bed with an accompanying foldable smart-TV so you can stream your favorite series. 2 large wardrobes that hold a lot of storage and if you are traveling with small children, you can move the junior bed from bedroom number two here without any problems or place an extra bed. Open the double patio doors to let summer in in the morning.

- Bedroom 2: For one to two persons or a children's room. One bed (90 cm) for one person and one moveble junior bed (for children up to 6 years) and a travel cot if desired and upon agreement. Here we leave some toys for those of you traveling with children.

- Bedroom 3: One bed 90 cm, a desk and a large computer screen to connect a computer, phone or pad to. The only room that does not have its own doors to the terrace, but two large windows that can be opened.

- Bedroom 4/ Separate cabin/office (included):
Adjacent to the large terrace but well to itself is a separate cabin of 9 sqm which can be used as a separate bedroom or/and home office. Here there is sleeping space for 1-2 people through two 90 beds that sit together and during the day they can be used as a sofa with storage. Large computer table with two screens, camera, microphone and white board for those who need to work at home or want to play games. Has it own door with a seperate key leading out onto the wide connected terrace with stairs up to the large terrace around the main house. Enjoy your own time here if you are a teen travel with your family or a part of friends that loves to hang during the day but want separed time during night.

- Bedroom 5/ Walk-In Closet 1:
We have used one of the bedrooms in the main house as a walk-in closet. Large storage possibilities for those who rent the house for a long time and also the possibility to use as a bedroom by setting up an extra bed here. Should not be seen as a bedroom right now, but more as an opportunity to set up an extra bed if you need more people. The room has double doors to the balcony that surrounds the house, also found here. We have an good 80 cm extra bed of high quality in those cases.

- Walk-in closet 2: Perfect for clothes and bags that need to be put away during your stay.

-Parking: If you arrive by car, it is possible to park up to 5 cars fenced in the lot.

- Separate cabin (not included)
We also have a smaller cabin of 25 square meters on the same plot equipped with its own kitchen, shower and washing machine. A double bed with room for 1-2 adults and possibly a child in an extra bed. Own patio which and own parking belong to the cottage. The large outdoor spaces in the form of a garden, the two large lawns and the outdoor storage are shared with this property.
