What a glorious place!

We absolutely loved everything about our stay at East Cottage. It was incredibly warm and welcoming to arrive out of the wind and rain into this beautifully designed little oasis of calm! The attention to detail is outstanding, and everything felt very generous, from the provision of a starter fire kit to the cosy blankets on the beds and some beautiful books to look through by the fire. The cottage was also spotlessly clean. We can't wait to go back.

Fantastic location in Dungeness, super cosy cottage

Absolutely loved our stay. When we arrived we were so happy, it's a beautiful cottage, warm and cosy, but also full of the amazing bright light of Dungeness' open skies. Great facilities. Loved the bath and underfloor heating in the bathroom. Would book again!

Stunning property in a fantastic location

Our experience at East Cottage was faultless - a really stunning property, beautifully furnished and finished, full of all the things we needed for our stay. The careful thought that has gone into every room is evident - tasteful, high-quality fixtures and fittings throughout the cottage. And all the kitchen and dining equipment you could need for every eventuality. The location is perfect, with easy access to all that Dungeness has to offer, whilst also feeling secluded and calm. Thank you - we'll definitely be back soon!

A wonderful place to stay on the coast

If you need a place to stay away from things, this is the place to stay. Everything was just great. There was all you needed in the kitchen, with plenty of storage space. The beds are comfortable with USB charging ports next to them and decent blackout blinds. It would have been nice to have a small waste bin in each bedroom, but it's a minor thing. There was plenty of hot water, and during the very hot temperatures, the rooms stayed cool - prob because of how thick the walls are! We will be back.

A Perfect Little Haven

This was my second stay at East Cottage and the condition of the cottage was as good as it was three years ago. The little garden at the front is pretty with wildflowers and lovely for a morning coffee before going out to explore. A very cosy retreat.

Beautiful property in prime location

This old lighthouse keepers East cottage has been tastefully renovated to a high standard, maintaining the original appearance and feel of this property. Very comfortable beds, lovely bespoke kitchen with many original features. Very warm without central heating, although also 2 log burners available. The cottage is next to the Romney, Hithe & Dymchurch narrow gauge railway. It is a short walk to the fish shack and Derek Jarmans garden. We loved the cottage and the area, even the nuclear power station which is being decommissioned has an impressive affect on this unworldly place! We will definitely return.

A Perfect Escape

Dungeness is a wonderful and beautiful place. It offers a perfect escape where you can relax and enjoy a unique landscape. East Cottage is the perfect place to explore from. It is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. It is conveniently situated with a beautiful garden to sit and read or watch the world go by. We found Bloom Cottages friendly, efficient and easy to deal with. Thank you for a wonderful break.

Dream staycay

East Cottage was the most magical location: watching sunrise with salty fresh air in the comfiest bed, lighting a fire, caffeinating and straight out onto Britain only desert - the biggest shingle expanse in the world. The skies were endless. The cottage was super cosy and relaxing and clean and wonderful with it’s Quaker like minimalism. You can feel the history and feel completely cocooned inside. Winter holidaying highly recommended! Car charging at the fairly local Salts Farm Shop was speedy and en route to all the foody spots in Rye and even more endless beaches in Camber Sands. Thanks for such a lovely stay x

Dramatic Dungeness!

Very comfortable cottage in dramatic Dungeness. The heating was on when we arrived which made for a cozy start to the evening. Comfortable bedding and lovely thick towels. We enjoyed our stay.

Lovely Cottage!

East cottage is a delightful place to stay. It is a Grade 2 listed building that has been beautifully refurbished. We especially loved the original hall floor. It has all of the modern ammenities needed. The location is good with plenty of nearby activities, without spoiling the quiet, relaxing location. We had a very enjoyable stay. We particularly liked the ride on the Dungeness to Hythe railway, the beach and just the peace and quiet. The cottage is one of the best we have stayed in, if not the best!

Great location. Comfortable cottage.

Second visit. Fabulous location and managed to get in to visit the nearby lighthouse. Kite flying great as so windy! The cottage is cosy, well equipped and comfortable with great log burners which were appreciated on the windy days.

A Long Weekend Away

I've always wanted to visit Dungeness and it didn't diappoint, mainly because East Cottage was so perfect. Even though the weather was tricky (very wet and windy) for pur whole stay, we felt warm and cosy in the cottage and were able to just pop out for walks along the beach and the estate in the occassional dry spell. The location of East Cottage couldn't have been more perfect.

Beautiful cottage in an incredible location

There is nowhere on earth quite like Dungeness and East Cottage is the perfect place to stay. Beautifully decorated and equipped. We were very sad to leave.

October stay

What a cosy and immaculate cottage, full of charm. We loved our stay at East Cottage. The location is perfect for exploring, with easy access to the beach and to the station. We also had a super trip to the top of the old lighthouse and few trips to the delicious snack shack. The cottage was spotless. Everything provided was of the highest standard and on a few rainy mornings it was so cosy inside that we struggled to leave! We wish we could have stayed longer and will definitely be back.

Wonderful cottage in an amazing place. Amazing memories that our family will keep forever.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at East Cottage. The cottage is beautifully presented, oozes with character, is well equipped, was immaculately clean and is in the most amazing location right in the heart of Dungeness under the old Lighthouse. Only minor downside is the drive is a bit steep and our Octavia Estate was nearly grounding out on the bottom of the drive as we pulled off. There is however loads of free parking at the adjacent RHDR station if you needed it. The light, flowers views, walks sunsets and stars are all amazing and you don't really need to venture much further than the end of the garden gate to get all that if you don't want to! The wildflower garden is beautiful as is the shingle planting in the private rear garden. Great seafood at the local snack shack and the food at the Britannia is good too but the kitchen tends to close pretty early. Lovely breakfasts and lunches in the RH&DR station cafe too. Watch out for the local family of semi-tame foxes, who my daughter and I were able to feed by hand on our last evening at the cottage. We would recommend a stay here without hesitation. We have wanted to stay on Dungeness for several years and we were not in any way disappointed. It really is a unique place.

Lovely stay in the perfect cottage.

A lovely stay at East Cottage. The cottage has been beautifully restored. Each room is full of charm, and the place makes for a very comfortable stay. The surroundings are completely unique - and the Roundhouse is perfectly situated in the midst of Dungeness. Absolutely recommend!

Stay at east cottage in dungeness

I stayed with my family an our dog in the east cottage for 4 days. It was absolutely beautiful! The cottage is very beautiful furnished und super clean. We would love to come back someday, thank you for an amazing time.
