3 bedroom mountain getaway 10 minutes from Okemo and 30 minutes from Killington.

This beautifully updated three bedroom, two bathroom Belmont mountain house sits on over 3 acres and is surrounded by 300+ acres of State forest. You can snowmobile right from the house onto the VAST trail which is a hundred yards from the house. There are over twenty miles of mountain biking/snow shoeing/hiking trails right off the property. Okemo/Jackson Gore is 15 minutes away and Killington is 30 minutes away. The house borders the 92 acre Star Lake that is stocked with rainbow trout and also contains large mouth bass, pickerel and yellow perch. Great canoeing and kayaking opportunities abound. You can hike right from a trail off our property into the state forest which will take you to a meadow exposing an incredible view of Killington and the surrounding mountains; another trail will lead you to Star Lake. The house is only ten minutes away from the Vermont Long/Appalachian Trail. There are a ton of great swimming opportunities all within a short drive of our house including Buttermilk Falls and numerous lakes. This warm country home offers open living room with hard wood floors, dining area, kitchen with large island, family room with gas stove, mudroom for ski storage with laundry. Two bedrooms have a queen bed and the bunk room sleeps 4. Enjoy relaxing on the deck overlooking the lawn surrounded by towering pines, or sit around the fire pit. The circular driveway has extra parking for cars and a two-bay detached garage for storing your bikes or snow mobiles. The ski resorts have great weekend events throughout the summer. There are numerous breweries nearby including the Long Trail Brewery. Our property also has high speed wifi internet. The nearby Belmont General Store has great selection of wine, beer and serves incredible sandwiches. We are also 15 minutes from Ludlow which has a ton of great restaurants. This house has it all!

Couldn't ask for a better property for my family

My family (2 adults + 2 girls under 5) spent 4 days here and loved every moment of it. The place is meticulously cleaned and we had zero issues during our stay. The owners also had a collection of toys/books/puzzles that were perfect for our older kid, which was a pleasant surprise. The driveway was plowed twice during our 4-day stay, and we all got to enjoy 11-inch powder runs at Okemo. We would totally revisit next winter.

Ski Getaway

We really enjoyed our stay! The home's open floor plan worked great for our family. The house was spotless, beds were extremely comfortable, and the property was beautiful! It is just a short drive to Okemo Ski resort as promised.

Beau chalet au cœur de la nature.

Nous avons passé un très agréable week-end chez Daniel. De belles balades sont à faire avec un sentier débutant directement dans le jardin. Le chalet est très propre et agréable. Cependant, la pompe à eau et l'eau chaude n'étaient pas activé en arrivant. Mais Daniel à rectifié cela le plus rapidement possible.

Snowy crazy weekend

We had ice/snow for our ski weekend. The folks that the owners had hired to plow us out and keep us able to get up/down the steep hill in the driveway, were marvelous....I think they were there 3-4 times over the 3 days. The house was open, well lighted, warmed up quickly, and very comfortable all around. There were plenty of kitchen dishes., etc and we had no complaints. A beautiful place to stay. Would do it again, but need to speak to the weather gods about deleting the ice from the snow storm! :)

Great option 20 minutes from Okemo

Great family vacation off the beaten path of Okemo/Ludlow. Property more than met our needs, as a family of 5. Enjoyed huddling around the TV and gas stove after spending the days snowboarding or touring the area. Enjoyed cooking dinners in and getting dinner to-go from the Mojo Cafe (because of was so crowded). Belmont General Store, just down the road, was a great option for picking up last minute items. Always love visiting Singelton's General Store and ClearLake Furniture, and driving through Coolidge State Park on the way to Woodstock.

Overall good

Property was as advertised-it was perfect for our short stay in Belmont. The house and temperature were very comfortable. The only tough part was that there’s no cell phone service of any kind at the house prior to connecting to wifi so you must have the key lock opening instructions already downloaded to your phone from the owner prior to arriving which we didn’t know and hadn’t done. Once we drove to the store to get WiFi and access this information, everything else about the stay was easy. Would recommend!

Great place to escape

Stayed for a weekend getaway and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Cabin was very comfortable and we had everything we needed. Great layout for cooking and gathering together inside. Property is beautiful and private with great stone fire pit and many walking trails to enjoy. Would definitely stay again.

A lovely authentic Vermont property and an attractive, comfortable house.

The property is beautiful and the house is well-laid out and well-outfitted with appliances, supplies, etc. The bedrooms each have a bathroom right next to them and this allows for separation and privacy. The house is furnished attractively and it is easy to cook in the kitchen. Unfortunately, it rained almost the whole time we were there so we didn't get to experience eating on the deck or walking on the back lawn. We hope to stay there another time and do that.

A great getaway just off the beaten path

I took the fam up to Vermont for a long skiing weekend. Five people total. The house was clean and neat and offered plenty of space for us and would easily accommodate 8. We were debating on renting a condo close to the mountain but decided on more space to spread out and are so happy we did. I would recommend it highly. One thing to know is that the home is at the edge of Verizon wireless coverage so it was a little tough staying in touch. The wireless worked great though and there is a home phone that we ended up using a couple of times just to check in. Overall a great time!

I knew this was the house for my family when I first stepped into the entryway which is lined with cedar and has a ton of light in the large living room. It has been great to watch the wildlife from these windows. There is a ton of wild life around Belmont. Moose sighting happen quite often.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

We love this house because we are surrounded by tons of outdoor activities but have a place that is peaceful and quiet surrounded by beautiful mountains and forests. The house is perfect for a family. It is less than 2,000 square feet but can still find places/rooms to get away by yourself.
