Private 600 sq. ft. remodeled guest house in peaceful country setting. There is one bedroom with a luxurious queen size bed, one bathroom with heated tile floor and a round shower. The large open living room with bamboo flooring has a quality futon that folds out to a comfortable queen size bed. There are two folding 4" mats that allow extra couch like seating or unfolded make into twin size beds. Our modern amenities include Roku and Spectrum TV ap, and WiFi for your convenience. The open living space includes dining table and 6 chairs perfect for meals, games, puzzles, or spreading out an art project. A comfortable wing back chair is for reading or watching the variety of birds at our bird feeders and bird bath. The kitchenette shares the large open space and is outfitted with an 11 cu. ft. refrigerator with freezer, a microwave oven, a convection toaster oven broiler, an induction cooktop, a coffee maker with filters and coffee. Cupboards are stocked with dishes, silverware, and pots and pans. From the large windows you might even catch a glimpse of deer moving through the yard to munch on apple trees.

You are welcome to stroll the acre of land that includes flower beds, fruit trees, grape vines, berry bushes and big umbrella shade trees in the hot summer. This is a very serene location nestled against a tall forest to the west that shades from the late afternoon sun. Yet open pasture allows for great star gazing away for city lights at night.

Our country setting is peaceful and relaxing yet conveniently located to launch you to great adventures each day. We are located:
- 12 miles (16 minutes) from Eugene Airport
- 20 miles from U of O (30 minutes to Hayward field, Autzen Stadium, and Track Town USA) for exciting Duck sports
- 5 to 30 minutes away from 20 wineries
- Less than 30 minutes away from craft-beer breweries and cider houses
- Within walking distance of the Oregon Country Fair
- 5 miles from Fern Ridge Reservoir and boating, swimming, fishing, picnicking, bird watching, and hiking trails

Brief visit to Veneta/Elmira/Eugene/Florence

My husband and I were visiting family and this property was perfect for our needs. Itā€™s near basic amenities and had all we needed for daily needs. Dana and Dale were great hosts!

Wow just lovely! I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this property to anyone. It is so cozy, clean, and peaceful. I felt safe and comfortable my whole stay. Lovely cottage on large rural property

The large cottage is set near but separated from owners home. Beautiful rhododendron hedges shield it from the main house, and it is cozy and comfortable and very well appointed. Lovely place to come home to after exploring the area by foot and bike and visiting wineries. Owners/builders greeted us and showed us the ropes. Very nice stay.

Beautiful and peaceful

Dale and Dana have created a place of beauty and comfort, both inside and out. The furniture was comfortable and the kitchen stocked with everything needed. Everything was clean and in good repair. There was beautiful art work on the walls and the beauty of nature outsideā€”birds and flowers, trees and green grass. I loved listening to the birds in the morning as I woke up. Some days I listened to the rain; some days I sat in the sun out the back door. Truly lovely!

Excellent Get Away

The property was clean and in order. I felt safe as the owners were close by and were working outside on the property. They were very quick to fulfill my needs. We were in contact by text. My daughter, son-in-law and 3 children stayed inside mostly playing games. It was a great get away that I needed as my husband had died two months earlier and I needed to be with my family. I highly recommend this place.

Great place to stay. If you like an area away from the west coast craziness, I recommend this. Nice private cottage. Great hosts. Would be perfect for a romantic retreat. Next time we're in oregon we'll check them out again.

Short jump from the city

Nice quiet neighborhood within short driving distance of eugene, dana and dale made sure to leave a book with all sorts of attractions nearby and things they recommend eating in the area. It was a very cozy stay and the bathroom heated floora were great in the morning

Peaceful Cottage

Warmly greeted by Dana and her pup, Belle, at the entrance to their lovely and colorful garden. Immediately we felt comfortable and relaxed (the kids wanted Belle to stay for a sleepover!). After a quick orientation of the cottage, we settled in for the night. Amenities were great and we enjoyed the peace and quiet of the property. It was nice meeting and chatting with Dale, Danaā€™s husband and resident carpenter. Thank you Dana, Dale and Belle for a wonderful stay during our travels through Oregon! Sandi

Wonderful peaceful stay at this beautiful cottage. We were traveling to the coast so it was perfect.

Dana and Dale thought of everything. I stay regularly at VRBO homes and found this one to have everything (and more) that we needed. These hosts are 5 star rated folks and did everything to make us feel at home.

Return to Eugene area

Was looking for a place to stay in the Eugene area during the Olympic track and field trials and ended up here due to a lack of space in Eugene but it was quite appealing. Itā€™s very similar to our home in Maryland with a vegetable garden and fruit trees and berries outside. A clean, nice looking space with everything that we needed. The owners were friendly and quick to were on a minor sink repair. Would recommend!

Our stay at Fair Haven in Elmira, Oregon

We traveled from Wyoming to Eugene, Oregon to attend the high school graduation of our grandson. Booking our vacation rental went smoothly and when we needed an extra day, our host was kind enough to take care of the details. The lovely little home was located in a beautifully taken care of area, lush with flowers and a wonderful vegetable garden. Our hosts were ever so kind as to provide us with fresh lettuce, broccoli and strawberries. The house was clean, spacious and provided all the things needed to cook a variety of meals. It is such a relief to walk into a place and find you don't have to rush out and buy milk, coffee, etc. The sleeping accommodations were excellent. A queen bed for my husband and I, and a very comfortable queen futon couch for our son and daughter-in-law. The small fenced patio area outside was a lovely place to sit and visit with family members who came to visit. We will definitely book there the next time we head to Oregon!

Like a Cottage in a Park - yet Close to Everything

Fantastic location in a quiet neighborhood with large lots and away from busy streets. It feels like a cottage inside a beautiful garden in a park. The guest house was complete in itself, with its own parking, bathroom, heat, air conditioning, kitchen, Wi-Fi, and TV. Dana and Dale were great, friendly hosts, available to answer questions, and help us as needed, but never a bother. They have a nice, friendly dog ("Bell"). They also provided a big gas grill for outdoor cooking, with a little table and chairs! This is cottage in the middle of a garden blows away any hotel - choose this beautiful guest house instead!

The cottage was great. We weren't there much, other the to sleep, but it did have everything there that you would need for cooking meals. I'd for sure recommend it. Easy to find, quiet and comfortable.
