Barn Conversion at the Old Watermill - Snowdonia & Zip World around the corner.

Modern 19th century barn conversion in the grounds of our own farmhouse, the old watermill.
Relax after a day exploring Snowdonia in our fully equipped cottage. Listen to the stream outside your bedroom window or gaze upon the amazing unpolluted night sky.
Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge freezer, coffee machine and so much more.
Fresh eggs available for breakfast from our own hens.
Free parking outside your door and EV charger available.
Your own private garden and many other outdoor areas to relax in by the stream or millpond. We even have our own waterwheel.
Pet friendly - we do make a small additional charge for pets - please let us know at the time of booking. A maximum of two pets is allowed.

We are just a couple of miles from Llanberis & Snowdonia (Yr Wyddfa), Anglesey is just across the bridge and if you are feeling adventurous, Zip Line at the Quarry and Greenwood Adventure Park are just a few minutes away.

A rural retreat with everything handy on the doorstep if you need it.

Please note that bookings of one night do incur an additional fee of 20%.

The property was cozy and close to Bangor and the Snowden Mountain. The property had all the amenities that we needed. Bed was comfortable and had plenty of heating for those cold winter nights.

Super comfy and clean. Lots of extras that were appreciated, a welcome tray and throws, to name a couple. Lovely big opening windows to let lots of air in whilst it was warm outside. Kerry is really lovely, and does not impose on your holiday, just a check in to make sure everything is ok. Super dog friendly. Great area, national trust properties within 20 to 30. Beaumaris castle and town, Bangor pier, and lots of other beautiful scenic areas. Great parking just outside the door. Shower chair provided and all on ground floor. Fabulous accommodation, highly recommended.

We had a lovely stay at this property, beautifully decorated, kitchen had everything needed for cooking family meals. The owner was very responsive and on arrival had a lovely welcome pack of goodies. Would highly recommend.

Lovely accommodation, very central with lots to do in the local area. We’d booked the Zipline at Zipworld which was very close by. The house was cosy, warm and well equipped with everything you need for a short break away. Very clean and the beds were comfortable too.Highly recommended, would definitely use again if we’re visiting the area! Kerry the owner is very responsive and gave great directions to help us find it. Her rescue chickens also provided us with delicious fresh eggs for breakfast, an added bonus!

Kerry's place was just what my friend and I needed for our weekend away. Directions to the cottage were spot-on (and would've been easy to follow if we'd remembered we were coming from the opposite direction!). Parking was no problem, and despite being one of a number of holiday lets, we were never bothered by the noise of our neighbours. The beds were comfortable - with the rooms having their own TVS - the kitchen and bathroom were clean and well-appointed, and the location was perfect for our ZipWorld adventure! The only tweak I'd suggest is eventually replacing or fixing the door handles: it was very warm when we stayed, so we had the windows open for a cross-breeze, but the doors didn't catch in their frames and would open then slam in the middle of the night. It's nothing that would put me off recommending Kerry's place at all, though.Thank you for letting us stay!

The cottages, being converted from the original barns are a little quirky in places. We do supply some interesting door stops to minimise any disruption, but yes, one of the quirks :-)

Short stay - would have liked longer!

We stayed here due to the great location and it's closeness to Zip World. The cottage is lovely and very well equipped. it was spotlessly clean and warm and welcoming - as was Kerry!We would definitely stay again and would recommend to others.

Would definitely recommend staying here, we only stayed for one night but wish we could have stayed longer. Spotlessly clean and everything you could need in an excellent location for exploring the area. Will definitely be back.

Wonderful stay

Had a lovely 3 night stay here. Kerry and John are friendly and welcoming, the place is clean and spacious and well equipped. It is in an ideal location for exploring N Wales and will definitely be coming back. I also brought some fresh eggs home with me and they were delicious

Lovely barn conversion

Excellent accommodation and good location

Really enjoyed our stay at this property. One of the best we have used. Every item of convenience was available with a number of nice touches by the hosts. You will ideally need a car if staying here. It is an excellent base for exploring North Wales with a number of attractions and places of interest a short drive away.

Lovely Property

Very clean, well presented property, with a fantastic welcome basket. Great Location for the North Wales coast. Hosts were great, even when we checked in 30 mins early. Would not hesitate to book it again, just wish our stay was longer!

My family and I moved to this beautiful part of North Wales in 2021 following family connections and childhood holidays!
We enjoy exploring this beautiful area with our rescue pooch, Ollie.
We aim to provide the type of holiday accommodation that we would want for ourselves - welcoming, cosy & relaxing and spotlessly clean.
We live in the farmhouse close by (which was also the Old Watermill) so we are on hand if we are needed, but aim to leave you in peace to enjoy your holiday.

Por que o anfitrião escolheu essa propriedade

Following a family holiday in 2021, we saw Felin Uchaf and instantly fell in love!
So, we went home to Cornwall, sold everything we owned and moved here with an ageing mum. We are firm believers that you only regret the things you didn't do - so here we all are :-).

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

Felin Uchaf translates as 'Upper Mill' as this beautiful building used to be the old village mill. We still have the water wheel, the millpond and the stream.

Our future plans include renovating the old water wheel and bringing it back to its former glory. Maybe with some hydro electric power too but that may be just a little ambitious.

We are rural but with everything close by if its needed. Bangor, Llanberis and Caernarfon are only a ten minute car ride.
A car is useful to take in all the sights.

So, if you want beautiful scenery, wonderful fresh air, unpolluted night skies, wildlife everywhere and the sound of the stream - this is the place to be!

We also have an EV charger and well behaved pets are very welcome too (there is a small additional charge for each pet.)
